You really covered the useful items that are available these days. It used to be nylon caps and Bobbi pins, there wasn't much choice. Living in the high desert, with wind gusts up to 80mph, it's been a challenge...such fun running after your wig in a crowded parking lot...oh I can laugh about it now, 30 years later! Thank goodness there's pressure clips. If you can use them, for extra hold, try teasing, or back combing, in the areas where your clips hit. Spray a little hairspray at the root, back comb, let it dry, then apply the wig, sliding the clips into those little stiff, teased areas. Snap shut and that wig ain't going anywhere. Just be careful and gentle when you go to remove the wig. If your head is average sized, a silicone band works very well. Use it rough or bumpy side up. I can only speak to living in a very windy environment, and the ways I've dealt with keeping my wigs on. When my bio hair was almost mid thigh in length, I'd make two loose braids and wrap them around my head, pinning them in place. They acted like a wig grip and worked really well. Now I'm old and cut my hair short. Pressure -toupee clips are sewn into most of my wigs.
Denise, thank you so very much for all of these choices. I am 70 this year. I am losing my once thick hair. I have Lupus and painful joint pain from degenerative discs and scoliosis. Somedays I am too weak to take alot of time to be sure that my wigs are secure. I think with all your help today I will find an answer to help me. You are so precious and clearly caring.😇 Thank you dear one!!
I’m about to turn 60 in a few weeks. I’ve been dealing with the same issues as you, but can’t afford to get medication or even see a Dr. Can’t get approved for any insurance since moving to Missouri from Illinois. I’ve been losing my hair more & more. It’s causing me additional depression. I just stumbled across Denise’s videos & she’s helping me feel a little hope again. Including you in my prayers. Thank you.
Hi there! Please don’t ever apologize for NOT wearing a wig on your videos! You are so beautiful, with or without those great wigs!! Thanks so much for helping SO MANY people ( women AND men!😊) on our Wig Adventures. You’re truly a gift, thank you.
I’ve not yet purchased a wig or topper yet. I’m in a very emotional place regarding hair loss due to Covid. Denise thank you for your compassionate presentations.
Thank you for not wearing a wig the entire video. I feel better knowing I'm not the only one with extreme hair loss. I think we have about the same amount of hair currently. I'm new to this whole thing so I'm glad I found your channel. I will be watching more of your videos while my first wig is shipping.
Hello and thank you for an excellent video... My hair has almost all fallen out now, but I have yet to get a wig... As my head is less than 21 inches I have had a hard time to find one small enough looking online... Finally, I ordered a synthetic Petite and a costly human hair wig and pray to God I can wear them as it is a hardship for me to afford any wig. Mine will have to last for years. You are teaching me lots of things here... There are no local wig shops near where I live so I have to rely on videos to learn and ordering online. My own hair is still long and a ponytail is now the size of a pencil, so I have to get real here and realize I just don't have any hair left now...
You are so helpful & informative! I've been wearing wigs for 10 yrs (chemo & now thyroid))..listening to you is very comforting... I'm 70 now but feel/look young because of wigs! Thank you for being who you are Denise!
I’m so thankful for finding your channel. I have been wearing wigs for two years since my cancer diagnosis. My own hair post chemo is just awful and I have mourned the loss of it , but I decided to make Lemonade and after trying and failing to grow it back to stick with wigs. I have purchased some very beautiful wigs that I like , BUT I’ve spent a small fortune !!! it’s always on a hope and prayer that they look nice, fit well . I’ve been ordering on line because they are SO expensive to get at a salon. I have a lot of catching up to do because I know essentially 0 about them 😮 I also recently decided to buzz my hair so I’m going to watch those videos next!
Due to thyroid issues my hairs been getting thinner and thinner so i decided to ditch the extensions that further ruined the hair i had left and go for wigs. Your chanel has been the biggest help with all the tips & the last one about sewing in grips/clips is genius!! I can reuse the ones from my extensions on my wigs!!!! 😍
Terrified rectified! THANKS for thoroughly addressing all the adhesion choices, pros/cons & flat head issues. Your experiences, input & resource links are so appreciated! Great alternative ideas too!
I just discovered Denise and her videos today. I’ve been bald for about two months and I am not at all excited about trying wigs… For all the reasons you mention… Especially the flat head issue! Headbands and scarves don’t even stay on my head. If you have any really good ideas that you’ve come across, I’d love to connect with you especially on that area. Right now I’m pretty much relying on baseball caps. good luck in your own journey!
I have no hair all wigs are big on me. I see a few petite wigs but not to very pretty. Would head band wigs be better for me . I'm on a fixed income so I can't afford a lot of wigs. Thank you so much for all you do for us as far as info. And your time
OH MY GOODNESS DENISE!!! FINALLY I think you've helped me figure out WHY I'm having such a problem!!! I have a FLAT HEAD in the back!!! I can feel the bone back there but it's not even the least bit prominent and it's just kind of smooth from my neck up. I have been thinking my two wigs are too small because they're always trying to ride up but now I'm thinking that the back of my head is just too flat! Goodness, I don't know if I'll EVER figure this wig journey out but thank you so much for all of these great videos! You're really helping so many frustrated and depressed women like me!! 💜
You are giving me confidence I can wear my wigs during yoga! As a flat-backed-headed Norwegian 😂, I had no idea it was a special struggle… bless you 🤗😇
I just got my first wig and Im totally afraid its going to fall off! Thank you soooooo much for covering so many options. Ill probably use 2-3 at the same time ;) You look fantastic in wigs!!! You are so helpful! Im going to check the other videos!
Thank you for this video! I’m a new wig wearer, going on an Alaska cruise in a few weeks. There will be wind, hoods, beanies… and I’m so worried about a wig accident! Still not sure what to try, but you’ve given me things to explore.
Thank you ever so much Denise!!!! I've been getting so frustrated with my wig grips curling up on the unfinished side in addition to not doing a great job. I just ordered 3 of "The Hair Grip" using your Discount Code. I ordered one lace grip, and two w/o. So that people know, your discount saved me over $13! Now, that's a good deal! Also, like you, i always choose a purchase from a smallbbusiness. Especially, i admit, a small woman owned business. It makes my heart feel good. So, thanks for introducing this line. I'll get back with my thoughts when I've received and worn it around. Blessing, Denise♥️🙏🏻
Thanks for all this info and sharing so openly... I'm desperately seeking solutions for my 84 year-old mom that thankfully survived cancer although most of her hair did not. She lives with me in Miami, Florida where it is hot and humid and perspiration is a problem outside so I've been looking for solutions that keep her wigs on securely and comfortably. She is such a beautiful woman, inside and out, and it breaks my heart when she says that she doesnt recognize herself anymore when she looks in the mirror. This is by far the best vid I've seen so far. Hopefully some of your suggestions will help her. God bless you.
You are the best! Thank you for EVERYTHING! I'm getting closer to wearing a wig outside. One of these days I will feel confident enough to take the plunge. God bless you for your help, Denise. 💜
I totally understand...I went through that & now I feel naked without a wig on my head! Wigs give us great confidence. It's the greatest invention!! Best of luck, wig sister♡
I loved your video and you have explained things so clearly and I love that you are so caring about helping others in this journey. I am a hairstylist and just started making wigs for my clients. Not because they have to wear them but because they want a back up. You also look great without your wig. No need to apologize. Thank you so much
I just want to thank you for all the hard work and dedication you have put into this video. I just got my first wig a couple of days ago and it's only because of watching the numerous videos put out by yourself and others that I didn't throw it in the drawer never to see the light of day again! Because of all your information I know that I will just take the time and play with it and try some of the options till I get it right. Securing my wig feels like the most important thing for me right now also I have a strong widows peak and then my hair recedes back but having my wig cover the peak means my wig feels like it's too far forward on my forehead 😞 I will keep watching all your tips and tricks and find the comfortable solution I'm sure. Thanks Denise!!
Thank you, Denise, for sharing all this good advice. You look great with or without a wig on your head. It's so good to know we are not alone on this journey.
I found this video as I’m growing out my natural grey hair and have been researching wig wearing as a way to to this. I’m a complete novice and I just wanted to say that this vid is so informative and friendly and I think you look gorgeous and inspirational without your wig so please don’t apologise for taking it off! Thank you for such great, useful, educational and positive content! ❤
I use the Ebin spray on my front hairline. Worked great all summer even with high humidity. Still working on getting the back of my wigs to not ride up. Thanks Denise for such a great video with so much information.
I have a little of my own bio hair left so I tie that into a mini low bun and I sewed in a wig comb into the nape of my wig so I can secure it under the bun and it stays in place
Here is a blog post I wrote with some ideas for that... a flat occipital bone can cause the wig to ride up in the back and I gathered these ideas from wig sisters who live with that everyday (scroll down toward the bottom for the list): heywigsister.com/f/wig-fit-and-how-to-measure-your-head
Denise you are an absolute god-send to sisters seeking hair-we-wear and developing the confidence to go out and enjoy life again!! Thank you so much for providing so many methods to successfully attach our new hair. I”m currently using a Milano wig grip & having trouble with my wig wanting to ride up in the back after wearing for awhile, surely one or two of these tools should help. ((Hugs))
Denise You are one of the top wig trainers and it is so enjoyable to hear everything you have to say. By the way, this was SO USEFUL and you are so KIND. And you look lovely with your bio hair, you almost do not need a wig. Encouraging and fun, thanks so much, from Canada.
Great info, I have most of those items and they all work, when in a hurry I just wear the wig grip, just a regular one and then a headband, it's fast, does not need the It Stays and works like a charm, I would be lost without my headbands, if the wind is strong then I wear the wig grip, a bit of It Stays and then the head band and I know for sure my wig is secure and it will not fly away, thanks for another great video.
Coming on 2 years in my wig journey. I still learn from these videos. Thx Denise. Just ordered Ebin orange can finally 🙄 The one grip you didn't show is the Milano topper grip, a smaller area of velvet with an elasticband to go atound yourhead. I have a couple and they work well. I use the wig tape on them. You have to be careful removing your topper so as not to let any long bio hair fall on the tape so I just remove the grip with the topper and use the topper that way until the tape loses stickiness. I want to try Ebin that way. 😊
First - you are stunning- your video is more informative with “showing”us how - so never worry about not having a wig on. I just ordered a wig. COVID has caused most of my hair to fall out. I know nothing about wigs. This has been great for me. So when it comes in, this video has given me a starting place to know “ what” will help and what the items are actually called so I’ll know what to search for and you seem like a very caring lady, thank you. I am praying this can be an option for me until my hair comes back in. I just want it to look as “natural” as I can make it look. I will be checking on more of your videos, as I think to (another COVID issue-brain fog). Again, Thank you for taking your time for so many. 😊 Angie S.
You put great videos out. Been wearing hair for about 3 years and I've watched lots of videos but your videos are so educational down to earth and just real. Thank you so much.
Thank you for helping us older gals understand how to transition to wigs. It's so hard to find good guidance on the many questions we all have. You've really helped me personally as I navigate this new wig life! 🙂
I have been wearing wigs for a couple of years now, but I learn something new from watching your videos all the time!!!! Today you touched on wearing tape-I have tried shaving my sideburns and found that’s the only way I can use the tape!!!
Ooo... so much great info in this video! I never gave any thought to the occipital bone and how it affects wigs staying in place. Mine are ALWAYS riding up and I couldn't figure out why!! Now I know. I'm saving this video for future reference. 👍
Denise, a heartfelt thank you. This was full of information for wig wearers. You think of the best knowledge to share and make wig wearing fun while taking some of the anxieties and other issues out to enable us not to be afraid to try and learn and have fun. Truly appreciate it. Wishing you a Happy New Year for 2024!🎉❤
Wig grips with thise plastic clip parts, They can catch onto your actual hair and damage that further. Though i guess if that's the least of worries then the rest of the wig is fine.. Great video here and thanks for having No annoying back ground music.
Thank you! Your videos are so helpful. I have worn toppers for a couple of years. Now I am losing more hair and need to look at wearing wigs. I appreciate your sharing the struggles and that there is light at the end of the tunnel. You are so appreciated!
Thanks for great reviews on products and tips on how to make this journey less painful. You r the best when it comes to reviews. I wish I would of found u a couple of years ago. Thanks for your truthful reviews. You r a true wig sister.
Amazing tips. I have super fine hair and it’s also falling now. I bought a cheap wig just to try and check how I feel and how it looks. Mine did come with the elastic and cap as well but I have to trim the banks.
I'm so glad you mentioned that got2bglued comes in a tube!!!! I don't like the spray. It's so irritating because it gets stopped up all the time. One can I never could get to spray after twice the other can I can soak the tip in hot water & it will finally spray again. I use " IT STAYS" roll on for the best hold. 💝
I just discovered you today Denise! I was all excited when you mentioned the occipital bone problem at 17:23… I did not think I was going to find anything about that anywhere! When you said it has to do with comfort with wigs, I almost cried. No, no, my new friend does not understand😢. I I have never been able to wear wraparound headbands because they pop off after a few minutes. I ordered a bunch of scarves for people with alopecia… The ones that are like an infinity scarf… And they do a little bit better, but if I try to wear it for a number of hours, they begin to slip off also. So thank you thank you thank you… I will be heading over to your blog as soon as I’m done with this video… I see that you polled people Who do have that problem. This is one of the big reasons I’m not excited about trying out wigs yet… I doubt anything will fit right, and even those velvet bands seem like they will betray my scalp. But it looks like you are pretty thorough and try to see things from all sides… Even the sides you haven’t experienced personally. Thank you! I look forward to following you
You are the very best person to describe different things about wigs!! I will be checking you out for lots of questions. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge of wigs. ❤
Hi Denise! I’m not a wig wearer. Yet, anyway. I’m more fascinated in them and how nice they look now as to years ago when I was younger. It’s amazing. It’s hard to tell anymore and that’s great! Thanks for the informational video. Put together so well. ❤️💜💚
I have been a wig wearer for years, not because of the lack of bio hair I have, but because unfortunately, I have hair that will turn to frizz about 10 minutes after I'm finished styling it. It's awful. So when I go out anywhere, out comes one of my beautiful wigs. I want to let you know how I have addressed the issue of possible traction loss from all the hair clips I've had to sew into every wig I own. I bought (from Amazon) a large pack of these black velcro strips for hair. (Apparently some hairdressers use them to hold hair back while cutting hair.) Although they do not come in a tan or skin tone, I painted the one side facing outward with skin tone paint. Only one side of these strips have velcro. I sewed one piece on either side of the wig front, clipping one edge with the hair clips I had previously sewn in. They do an amazing job of keeping my wigs secure WITHOUT any loss of hair from constantly clipping the clips to my bio hair. (I still clip the 2 in the lower back to my bio hair, which are not noticeable) Anyway, that might be a solution to the traction loss from clips.
Wow!!!! The puzzle is coming together!! This makes so much sense!! I swore it was coming off & was mad at retailer because they said they should fit. I think for me it’s flathead syndrome AND the new feeling.
So helpful!! Starting to consider wigs. Have been learning so much. I used to assume that you wear a wig the way it comes. There is so much you can do to modify the way you wear it. Thank you again!
I usually french braid my bio hair in 2 braids & Bobby pin the braid ends down The silicone bands with the nubs was great for me in the beginning & now they bug me. I am on a budget & usually buy cheap wigs. Recently I purchase Norika Angelica in some gorgeous shade of blonde. It's gorgeous! With it i use a velvet wig grip. That works pretty well! Thank you for your excellent content You are beautiful!
I use It Stays and Got2Be in the black tube. The Got2Be is more secure for me but the It Stays works most of the time, depends on the day I’ll have. For the back of the wig to help with ride up, I sew a small comb at the nape and it hooks into the bottom of my pony tail that I have pinned up. Works great! Oh, you’re mentioning that right now! Lol! Love your vids Denise. :)
Wow I am very happy I found you. This is exactly the kind of wig content I’m looking for. I’m new in my journey, only have one wig from Madison hair collection and it’s a band fall style and I adore it. I feel almost ready to try a lace front soon! Thank you so much again for making these videos. 😊
THANK YOU for this amazing video. I've been looking for something like this to help me with understanding how to wear a wig. I really want to start, but I had no idea where to start. Appreciate you!
I sew the pressure clips in all my wigs as I do have bio hair. I usually sew 3-4 in them. Front, sides and back. My wigs go nowhere and I never have to worry about wind or anything. I love it.
Thank you so so much for sharing this great information and tips!! I have hair thinning and have been wearing wigs for a couple years now, I always love the extra security and this has really helped me!
When you were talking about “buzzing” your hair, I decided to keep my bio hair underneath to make a knot at the bottom back of my head to hook the wig combs. If a wig doesn’t come with combs, I sew them in. (I buy them at the dollar store) One in the front and one in the back. I hook the combs through the fishnet, rather than hooking into my hair. Then I wear the “Fishnet” style wig cap, as my bio hair is so fine, the wig would slide around without it. And the fishnet style does protect my baby fine bio hair.
Im only 4 minutes into the video but i had to pause to say this wig looks AMAZING on you! Im new to my wig journey and have been watching some of your older videos and I have to say this ones is my favourite so far on you. I think its the length and colour. As always you look gorgeous but this wig is stunning! On another note thank you for your videos. I was considering giving up but your videos have given me confidence and strength to keep going on this wig journey.
Thank you for all the information you are giving. I am a total wig newbie...don't even have my first one yet, waiting for delivery. So all your info is so helpful...because ya don't know what ya don't know
Thanks for this! My problem was the wig cap not staying on and bunching up in the wig. I saw people putting the wig cap over the grip and that worked for me. The extra layer is a bit hot however.
Fantastic info and Very Much Needed Wish I would have had this info in the Beginning of my Journey. I hope your feeling better these days. Love & Hugs😙😙🤗🤗❤️❤️
Hi my name is Olga and I want to say thank you so much for all your time to do all these videos they’re ery very helpful for me!!! I just been wearing wigs for about 5 months and thanks to you I been learning at lot❤😢😊🌹🙏🏻
Hi, Olga! Thank you SO MUCH for taking time to comment and share this with me! I am so glad you are here, even though I'm sure you wish you didn't have to be watching these videos... know you are NOT alone, and I hope that with time you will find wigs to be a really fun way to express yourself and change up your look. HUGS!
Hi I tried like the nylon stocking and also with nothing .The wig slides all over ,also i bought 3 and they all look good on model but when I buy they have way too much hair. and looks terrible. How do I purchase something that is not do big n not look wiggy Tks
I love your videos, it’s been such a help to me on my wig wearing journey. Just knowing all the options and tips on trimming, styling etc, very useful. Thank you so much x ❤
THANK YOU 😊 ❤. this was my first video of yours ive watched and it's the best wig video ive seen probably ever! I really appreciate your kindness and in depth knowledge. I was wondering exactly about one of those glues thank you. I will look to your other videos to see everything else and see if you mention lace melting spray too. I am getting my first open front lace wig [ previously a topper wearer 9x9]. I have mainly front hair loss so im very excited to hopefully have a more blendable look. Ive only had HH toppers except one synthetic that looked terrible abd i overpaid for times 4 at a local store. Im again so glad for all of your time and effort and will watch and subscribe now
I am watching your video now and you are talking about clip and traction alopecia. I was wearing clip in extensions because i read they were less damaging while i was trying to grow my hair out. Now I have bald spots and decided to try wigs. I am glad I found you
I just watched this video and I’m so grateful. I’m going through chemo (for the second time) and I’m learning so much, I just got a wig which thankfully fits very well (tiny head) but I do feel like it’s moving (it isn’t). I lost my hair but I have that Velcro buzz that apparently is holding on to the wig, I found a cap uncomfortable but I might try that hair grip. This was very informative.
Thank you so much for your help information! I’m new to wigs I just lost practically all my hair due to alopecia and struggling with wigs. I have a slight flat head in the back that all wigs tend to slide up the back and leaves the top with a bump. I don’t know if it’s from synthetic hair wigs. I really can’t afford to buy real hair wigs. Thanks once again!
Thank you so much! I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I’ve been wearing wigs since ‘08 due to Alopecia Areata. I would love to see a video where you talk about your favorite wig designers and prices. I basically stick to the same designers unless there’s a shop I can try them on in. Right now, where I live there aren’t many options so I have to order online.
That was a great video. I really enjoyed watching it and learned a lot. Thank you so much for that. I wanted to know if you had a video on what to do when you buy a wig for the first time with front lace.
I think you are fantastic 😊 thank you so much for all your great helpful tips I'm a new wig wearer and appreciate your information would be lost without all your help
Denise you look so pretty in that wig, and it looks so real!!! Ho hum - wish my wigs looked like that on me. 😞 Maybe if I had the time and put in the effort.....maybe....
I have just received a wig looks like the one have on, actually yesterday. Mine may be a different brand. Way too bushy up top.Permatease is bad. I have tried a few hacks and can’t get it to lay. It looks great on you and I love it. I don’t know what to do.
Thank you so much! I actually have looked at a wig. I want to buy one and I know I will need something to help hold it in place. My head is on the smaller side. I'm having surgery and won't be able to shower and wash my hair as usual. I think this will be a good option. You have made me feel better.😊👍
@@heywigsister Thank you so much. I appreciate that. You are a great channel host and hold my attention. That is very important. My hand surgery is about in three weeks and will take about three months recovery time. So I will be watching lots of UA-cam! I will see you there.❤️👍
You would be surprised at how many people (including men) that wear wigs these days, so don't be too nervous. Confidence matters most. Just remember to customize it to your face shape and head size.
Thanks so much for this video. I am a new wig wearer and had a shorter Ellen wille that I can wear without anything. I got a longer Raquel Welch one and thought I could do the same thing and just wore it out with a friend for dinner, and was horrified when I came home to see that it slipped back and my bio hair was showing and I didn’t know. I haven’t worn a wig since, but I’m going to experiment at home with some of these suggestions.
If I use a wig grip it has to be the one with the elastic in the back. The rest want to slip off for some reason?? Then I got the Milano with the little tiny plastic string like thing that is clear & it's actually for toppers so you can clip the topper to the grip. Pretty cool. I just can't wear a topper because I don't have enough hair to go with it on top & the front is really really thin.
Thank you for your heartwarming and informative presentation. What brands of wigs do you suggest. I have been using Paula young and am very pleased either them. But I was interested in trying other brands and styles for petite size wig and short hair styles . Thank you.
I'm about to buy my very first wig, "IGNITE" and my BIGGEST fear is it flying/falling off, or like the lady on YT, in line at a Walmart & she begin to argue with a guy & he walked off. But she was quite abusive to him & he walked back toward her & jerked her wig off. YIKES !! She was SO embarrassed, she walked off & left her groceries. THANK YOU for ALL your wig tips.
Thank you so much for these ideas, Michelle!!
ADEL
Thank you for that advice! I'm great full🗽💯👍
I know this is a year old but THANK YOU MICHELLE!!
That is so funny!!😂😂
Denise, thank you so very much for all of these choices. I am 70 this year. I am losing my once thick hair. I have Lupus and painful joint pain from degenerative discs and scoliosis. I'm so sorry I missed this comment!! Sending you hugs for your health, I completely understand and my heart goes out to you.

Sending you prayers dear... I am nearly 78 and also lost nearly all my hair... just looking into getting wigs.
Thank you.
@Dakiniwoman I understand and pray for you and all suffering. 🙏🏼🧡 hugs!
I agree
Thank you for not wearing a wig the entire video. I feel better knowing I'm not the only one with extreme hair loss. I think we have about the same amount of hair currently. I'm new to this whole thing so I'm glad I found your channel. I will be watching more of your videos while my first wig is shipping.
I agree. Too many videos without showing real head.

Terrified rectified! THANKS for thoroughly addressing all the adhesion choices, pros/cons & flat head issues. Your experiences, input & resource links are so appreciated! Great alternative ideas too!
You are so welcome! HUGS (and I'm so sorry this response is so late)!
As a flat-backed-headed Norwegian 😂, I had no idea it was a special struggle… bless you 🤗😇
YAY! Hugs!
Another amazingly helpful video Denise; you're the Wig Whisperer! 🥰
Denise, Your complete series on wigs is such a blessing. Each and every topic brings additional knowledge…Thank you for each and every one!
You are the best! Thank you for EVERYTHING! I'm getting closer to wearing a wig outside. One of these days I will feel confident enough to take the plunge. God bless you for your help, Denise. 💜
You can do it, Jackie!! I am keeping you close in my heart as you work your way to this goal... HUGS my friend!!
Thank you so much, Linda! You will get it, I promise!!
Thank you, Denise, for sharing all this good advice. You look great with or without a wig on your head. It's so good to know we are not alone on this journey.
You are my most favorite and knowledgeable on wigs. I’m learning so much! Even that cheap wigs can look great! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
I can’t keep mine from riding up in the back. I’ve tried a wig grip and wig tape with no luck.
((Hugs))
Thank you so much, Lynn! Sending you HUGS and hoping you find a great solution!!
Denise You are one of the top wig trainers and it is so enjoyable to hear everything you have to say. By the way, this was SO USEFUL and you are so KIND. And you look lovely with your bio hair, you almost do not need a wig. Encouraging and fun, thanks so much, from Canada.
Thank you so much, what a kind thing to say! hugs!
Agreed!
Thanks for sharing!!
20:11 😅😮
Angie S.
I agree... those side hairs get in the way, lol! Mine, too!
Ooo... so much great info in this video!
Thank you so much for making this video I just started my wig journey and there is so much information that I needed to know for a beginner.
Thanks for great reviews on products and tips on how to make this journey less painful. You r the best when it comes to reviews. I wish I would of found u a couple of years ago. Thanks for your truthful reviews. You r a true wig sister.
Awww. Thank you! I'm so glad to be a help, sending you hugs
Thanks you were very helpful and will be getting the wig grips👍
Amazing tips. I have super fine hair and it’s also falling now. I bought a cheap wig just to try and check how I feel and how it looks. Mine did come with the elastic and cap as well but I have to trim the banks.
I like the got2be in the black tube. I put a little on my finger and apply where I need it. Wore all summer in high heat.
Does it tear your hair taking it off
I just discovered you today Denise!
Your the sweetest you covered everything God Bless you everyday!
Totally appreciate you going into so much detail, just got my wig, my hair is thinning especially on top!! ❤️
Super helpful, Denise, thank you!
I'm so happy I stumbled on your you tube. I already learned so much. I already order the wig grip. Thank you😁
You are so welcome!
Hi Denise!
I’m not a wig wearer. Yet, anyway. I’m more fascinated in them and how nice they look now as to years ago when I was younger. It’s amazing. It’s hard to tell anymore and that’s great! Thanks for the informational video. Put together so well.
❤️💜💚
Wow! Thank you for ALL THE OPTIONS and solutions!❤
I usually french braid my bio hair in 2 braids & Bobby pin the braid ends down
The silicone bands with the nubs was great for me in the beginning & now they bug me.
I am on a budget & usually buy cheap wigs. Recently I purchase Norika Angelica in some gorgeous shade of blonde. It's gorgeous! With it i use a velvet wig grip. That works pretty well!
Thank you for your excellent content
You are beautiful!
Wow, I didn't know that there were so many options for holding the wigs in place! Your video was so helpful! I want to try all the ways! Thanks!
Thank you for sharing this, Sharon!!!
Where do you get the see in combs
@@vinniemarino7472 Amazon
Love your turquoise and black chick shirt!
Thank you for all this information it’s really a big help. Your a real doll🙏🏼
Denise, you are so knowledgeable about wigs and I appreciate your videos so much. Thank you for all your help. 💕
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!
I sew the pressure clips in all my wigs as I do have bio hair. I usually sew 3-4 in them. Front, sides and back. My wigs go nowhere and I never have to worry about wind or anything. I love it.
Thank you so so much for sharing this great information and tips!!
I have hair thinning and have been wearing wigs for a couple years now,
I always love the extra security and this has really helped me!
I love that you found a great solution!!
Oh my gosh, THANK YOU for sharing that!! I'm so sorry I am behind on comments but I wanted you to know you made my day!
Denise you look great your eyes and eyebrows are so beautiful and that wig is so beautiful !
Than you so much!!
Oh my goodness….. I just love your knowledge and gentleness !!! Ty!!!!🌺🐝🌺🐝🌺
You are so welcome, thank you so much!
This was very helpful
All your wigs are so great, I would love to know where to buy good wigs from ? Thank you
I love your videos, it’s been such a help to me on my wig wearing journey. Just knowing all the options and tips on trimming, styling etc, very useful. Thank you so much x ❤
Thank you for covering so much information! I have my first wig coming and I'm a nervous wreck! It's a Paula Young Deidre, so I hope I got a good one!
I am glad I found you
Oh no! I'm so sorry that happened to you. This is definitely something that needs to be more broadly understood. HUGS!
Right now, where I live there aren’t many options so I have to order online.
this was so informative that i subscribed. i’ll be following your videos. keep up the great work
I just found you. You are great. Empathetic, knowledgeable and lovely. Keep up the great work.❤
Same here
That was a great video.
Thank you so much, I was struggling to find something that made my wig wearing comfortable and it stays made all the difference! 😊
I'm so glad!
You are AMAZING!!!! I loved listening to you. It’s like you’re talking directly to me and know all of my fears🥲🥲🥲
Thank you so much!! I am so glad and appreciate you taking time to comment and share this encouragement with me!
I bought a wig for the first time I'm going to try Velcro if it works I will let you know. 😊
Denise you look so pretty in that wig, and it looks so real!!! Ho hum - wish my wigs looked like that on me. 😞 Maybe if I had the time and put in the effort.....maybe....
Love your transparency, SiC!
Sending you hugs and prayers for your surgery!
@@heywigsister Thank you so much. I appreciate that. You are a great channel host and hold my attention. That is very important. My hand surgery is about in three weeks and will take about three months recovery time. So I will be watching lots of UA-cam! I will see you there.❤️👍
I am just getting my first wig after chemo. Very nervous about it. Thank you for you help🩷
You are such a wonderful person❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing this amazing video. Can you please also put the link for the week that you’re wearing?
If I use a wig grip it has to be the one with the elastic in the back. The rest want to slip off for some reason?? Then I got the Milano with the little tiny plastic string like thing that is clear & it's actually for toppers so you can clip the topper to the grip. Pretty cool. I just can't wear a topper because I don't have enough hair to go with it on top & the front is really really thin.
I haven't tried that one yet... do you like it?
I love your videos you are so down to earth
Such good advice, just what l wanted to know. 😊😊
Thank you so much!
It looks great and so natural.
This wig is PERFECT for you!♥️
Thank you!
PS this was such a lot of useful information for someone new to the journey! Thank you… I really needed to see this today.
