It took 5 months for them to reach out and very direct about wanting to repair things. He said he wanted to reach out for a long time but was scared. Margaret said if he did come back to see how much he invests and to be cautious about giving more than I'm receiving. So glad I did an enormous amount of work during NC. I feel much more secure with myself and will take it very slowly.

Absolutely not true. Secure people love their partners too, you know. And miss them/ want them back when things go wrong. We just have a healtheir way of dealing with it.
I dont believe in sitting around. People should go out and do what feels right for them, whether that's looking for someone new AFTER they have processed and healed from a break-up, or if its doing any necessary introspection on their own issues and contribution to a break-up, and then trying again wth their ex.
2-3 months is nowhere near long enough to get over a long term/serious relatonship, even if you were the one who called it.
That's why there are so many people out there with emotional baggage that they just drag from one relationship to the next and then wonder why it never works out.
But other people giving bad advice based on what THEY would do is the worst.
Most of those people have their own issues or agendas and their view is generally biased and can cause actual emotional damage to the 2 people concerned and make the situation much worse.
That's not true. My ex had every reason to dump me. I messed up and said some terrible things. And it really hurt them. I deserved to be dumped.

For everyone that got dumped, just like me. I know it hurts, it hurts like hell. I have 5 days of no contact. But you know what, I don't think that she will come back. But I think to myself, I deserve soo much more and soo do you, they think they will find someone better, or someone like you, but they will never find someone like you because you are special in many ways. There is someone out there who will love you and respect you for who you really are, not for who your ex wanted you to be. Just focus on yourself and improve. I see this as the fight of my life, the ultimate struggle, but what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger and better.

My ex broke up with me in 2017. I started watching every video from the coach untill the pandemic hit. My ex never came back after she realized I found out she was at least talking with someone months prior breaking up. I have to admit that those videos helped me a lot.

I'm already a success story from all the improvement I have made. People around me see it, but more importantly, I see it. But I know things would be different if I had another shot with my ex.
my ex of 4 years texted me on day 96 and day 106. She was going through a hard time in 2020 and she decided to leave the relationship. I went in no contact after I listened to the videos. I got a better job, worked out a bit and listened to alot of videos on relationship and I worked on my anxiety. I met my ex last week and we had a good time while walking through a park. If she’s in love than less than a month, it’s definitely a mistake and she’s experiencing the “honeymoon” phase. A lot of times, depending on whether or not your relationship was really bad in the end, it can make new relationships seem “that much better” when, in actuality, they are just normal in comparison.
If an ex tells you all about a new relationship, they’re likely expecting a triggered response. Don’t give it to them. Tell them you’re happy for them and maybe throw in some hints that you’ve been working on self-improvement, but keep it short and sweet. It’ll peak her curiosity if there’s any left and interfere with her ability to focus on her new relationship if there are any residual feelings there or insecurities about your breakup.

Why Exes come back? Their options fell through and like the dummies we are take them back smh. From my observation, men are more likely to come back than women. Women have a plethora of options and won't be hurting for men to talk to them. Men on the other hand on average have a harder time.

It’s been two weeks since I’ve gone to contact. I left my golf clubs in her garage. Not that I’ve been playing golf lately, but they are my golf clubs. Thanks so much. Its so much helpful. My ex brokeup with me 3 months ago and I reached out in the two months time but in the last month I never reached out. He had blocked me everywhere but recently he unblocked me. I called him and he listened to my conversation. Since I was nervous, I was unable to make a sensible conversation with him. I ended the call and promised to call him later but he later text that I shouldn't call him back. I never contacted him again and its 7 days now. Can he really come back? I think and dream about him everyday. What can really help me forget him because he doesn't even mind of how I feel.
My husband and I separated (he wanted it to end), he reached out to me several times....sort of. He never reaches out through text, but he did reach out at work (we work together), he waited for me in the parking lot randomly to walk with me and he asked how the cats were. I answered him with "they're fine". And I just shut down and walked....I understand that we aren't supposed to ignore them if the reach out in whatever way....but what if im just not ready....I am also very hurt....and although I have a lot of feelings, I honestly don't know if I would want him back. I feel like right now I'm just trying to protect myself first...although part of me DOES want him to reach out...I just don't know how to handle that.

What about when we were married, divorced and had a custody fight. After a couple of years we became friends again, and started to enjoy being around each other. She married after the divorce and had kids, but has been separated now for 7 years (not divorced), and the last 3+ months we spent a lot of time together, even spent the night together (no intimacy). She said she just wanted to be friends because we moved too fast...anyhow I told her I wasn't interested in just being her friend, but to let me know if she changed her mind. She then said that friendship was all she had to offer and since I didn't want to be friends, goodbye. COMPLICATED! HELP!!!!!

Just say your glad she’s doing well and that you are fine. As far as being her friend goes, don’t agree to it if you know you want more. It might feel good to relieve that thirst to see them again, but agreeing to friendship and trying to push for more will ultimately get you in a worse spot. You could keep it ambiguous and just say that you’d like to catch up and just be yourself and don’t bring up the break up. Just have good conversation. Them extending the offer of friendship could be their first step towards you and they are likely in the curious stage of the break up. Look up coach Lee the ex back coach on UA-cam if you want more clarification of the curiosity step. Do not take my advice blindly. Do what you feel is right and if you want things to work then I suggest you trust the professionals, I’m just speaking from my life experience.

My ex wife and I got divorced in June of 2022 after 7 years of marriage. I told her after the finalizations that she would never hear from me again. I have kept contact with her son because he chose to call me dad. She messaged me in November asking if her son was still on my insurance which I had them removed in July. She called I didn’t answer she even had her mother message me. I replied to her mother’s message advising I took them off. She then messaged me on Christmas after this and then I set a day I could stop by her parents house to drop off a gift for her son. Well she was at her parents house on the day I went there and tried to make small talk I was taken aback and only gave one word responses. I can’t help but feel she planned to be there maybe I am wrong but just felt that way.

My ex monkey branched into someone else already and I don't expect she would come back.. What hurts me more is I still love her while she's sleeping with her rebound /new love.. She just moved on with a new guy just in a week....the reason why it hurts me is because I love her... That's my love.. But i have to move on.. But its been over a month! Lol i have moments but so much better and dating again (purely for confidence purposes at the moment) but my ex is so strong willed, she will not reach out because of her ego and she just literally just is a ghost for 6 weeks now.
