Can you please make an video[ specifically on small talk.] "How to build small talk mind map? Don't worry about what to say and build the ability to ask questions without feeling what to ask." After taking a lot of courses I came to realize that problem is specifically small talk. A general mind map of small talk great communicators follow. Will be very greatful.
You are blue, don't you? Small talk is speaking about things people are comfortable to speak about. For instance, reds like to speak about their achievements. Yellows like to speak about their future plans. Greens - they might like to speak about their family, children, cooking, gardening, a hobby like knitting or crochet.... But often, greens just like to listen to for example the enthusiastic ideas of a yellow. What greens don't like is when you put pressure on them when would you solve that problem? Or ask very personal questions like do you want to have more kids? Greens are good listeners so they would rather listen to your analysis of a problem just don't ask them uncomfortable questions.
Another thing I experienced when conversing with blues: they ask me a thousand questions about a situation, or problem I have and they are going to give me advice about what they think I should do. As a green, I absolutely hate this. Because I am slower and like to go at my own pace and don't like to be pressured and because I seek security, it's difficult for me to make decisions when the outcome seems risky. I would close up after repeated pressure why I didn't solve that thing in my life already. So, if you want to get along with a green, I think maybe it's better if you speak about different things not their problem because we want to just vent, just someone listening and giving us time and space. No advice and pressure. But we are good listeners that's why we get along so good with yellows because we become enthusiastic and gain strength to do the thing when listening to the ideas of yellows. Well, maybe we need encourage but, I think blues are better at analysing things. We could learn a lot about you telling about how you solved another problem because we pay close attention to you and we do want to change things just don't put too much focus upon us and our problems. So, speak about how you solved or would solve some other problem. We like to learn and listen. Just no grilling and pressuring.
Small talk isn't as complicated as it seems. The problem most people have is they are inside of their head while trying to communicate. Be in the situation, leave your thoughts for once. Go with the flow of the conversation and if you don't have anything to say ask the other person a question about themselves. Try to follow up with that: "Do you like to draw" "Not really, I pass my time reading books" "Oh, what are some of your favorite books" Something like that
Idk if th3y made a video on small talk after ur comment but i also have a problem with small talk what helped me is his videos How to improve communication skills theres another one cure 4 social anxiety theres no cure but both of these videos helped me the communication skills is a good one check that one out if u can
Im a yellow. If they get the inkling that you dislike them, you’re done. Game over for you. It’s near impossible to win them back. I would find things you appreciate them and love about them.
It’s a great start to understanding the work place. Respecting that everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. A great manager quickly identifies this and delegates tasks to individuals strengths, while overseeing communication and progress. I’m a green for sure with a bit of blue. It would be great to see a video on what jobs suit different colours best please 😊
Although a good tool for trying to understand people, the problem with this over-simplification is how it both states and proceeds to ignore that it only fits 5% of the population. Things get more murky when the colors get meshed and that's how most people are. It's easy to say something like, "hey, I'm blue, but think like a red, with a sprinkling of green traits" but then looking at other people you have to remember most of them are also a mix as well and not so simple as this guide. I view this as an introduction into personality types rather than a "full" guide, which for that I think is good.
"What a fascinating video! I need to watch it again because it prompted a deeper analysis of my personality, helping me avoid problems when I have to work with others."

I told my husband early on, as in within days of meeting and dating, that I’m not a mind reader. Just say it point blank. No “kind of”, “sort of”, nonsense. I’ll let him know what I’m thinking in the same manner. Not combative, just communicating with one another honestly. We make the meal menu for the week TOGETHER. If one doesn’t feel like eating that particular meal on that day, there are alternatives in the frig and icebox. We’ve had one true argument in our 27 years of marriage and we worked through the issue with the help of a therapist. Most women divorce immediately for what he did but I’m not that way. No, he didn’t cheat but it was bad enough for him and the main guest room to become acquainted rather well! We raised our children to communicate openly and honestly, no judgements. We all had mutual respect and still steer our now grown children back on their path if they’ve gotten too far off. No one is perfect, we all have our flaws/colours and that’s what makes life more beautiful. You navigate it and work through what you can. If it’s something that you can’t change or work through, give it to God and forget about it.
The majority of coworkers in my company are now running around and categorizing everyone into these four types. They think they're now smarter than anyone with a doctorate in social psychology. It amuses and annoys me at the same time. Oh, and they think it's difficult to determine which 'color' I am. My boss said I'm a chameleon, which is apparently the best type and very rare... I mean, I'll take the compliment, but... oh boy. Regards from Switzerland, Katrin ♥

Well over the period of a decade working in the software industry I have noticed one thing and feel so verified after watching your video: Those who do the work don't talk and those who talk don't deliver a thing (useful).
Sad that this is what you took away from the whole thing... Everyone brings something to the table. The problem is that the non creative concrete thinkers go along like a bull in a China shop, "getting So Much done!" And thinking that the reflective dreamer is just a big time waster... Meanwhile, you could slow down and try to learn what you are missing.... Maybe people you don't understand know something that you don't easily see.
@kahnfatman I have worked in IT for over 25 years, and I have to agree with your comment! In fact, at one corporation where I worked in their IT department, we were all required to take a quiz that produced these same (red, yellow, blue, green categories) for everyone in the department. Even though some of the employees said it was _"so enlightening",_ absolutely *nothing changed* about anyone's behaviors or interactions. I like working remotely for reasons that include this.
Learned about this system at a team building event years ago and this video summarizes it beautifully. I'm right in the middle between green and blue, but green feels a little more like myself. At work I'm having the most difficulties interacting with the reds.
That's make things so much clear. I think this video should reach more people like that's the reality of an entrepeneur, owner of a business life struggles in daily life, the employers behavior can be explained by they nature , and you should't fire them you should understand which one should work at which task in which group,in sume you need to put them in the right groups .
I completely agree with the finals considerations. The book is just a compass it helps you identify some characteristics in others, and in yourself, it won't put an end to all conflicts but will help to make relationships easier 😉 I love your videos ❤
yeah your right i do feel empowered cuz apparently im the avatar. i change through out the day and with different task. This just helped me uderstand why sometimes im on top of things and later i can feel like i never stood a chance.
It was one of your best video of all time. I found myself clearly described in what you were saying. I just hoped you would tell us where you locate yourself. You made it so great. It filled me with ideas of what to do and what to be. Thanks
This classification helps in 2 ways: 1) To understand the negative aspects of all these characters 2) To understand the positive aspects of all these characters and work on developing them in ourselves ❤
I am red when gaming and partying. Yellow with close ones sometimes red in a few situations if I have expertise. When in the office and with colleagues I am either green or definitely blue. I feel that with the right amount of exposure blue or green can become red. Whereas for the yellow one just needs to be empathic and trustworthy.
This is so right. Lots of personality theories lead me struggling to fit people I know into them but this one focuses on the real experiences that you can have with people and it was very easy to fit all of my coworkers friends and family into each color. I'm definitely going to use this to help my relationships. And I'm 100% yellow

Memory updated Being a perfectionist and an introvert with a "blue and green" vibe sounds like a pretty thoughtful and organized way to navigate life. You probably value deep connections, careful planning, and a calm, harmonious environment. That mix of traits might make you really good at focusing on details and creating quality work, even if it takes a bit longer.
well all colors are good to navigate life with, it depends on many things like if your a man and mostly green you might have regrets later in life, woman who focus too much on red might be alone and miserable later in life. imo its best to be a mix of 2 compatible colors. think most people are mostly 2 colors in a 70/30 ratio or something. some colors do not mix really since they are opposite. like blue and red , doesn't work well unless your very intelligent. yellow and green together makes no sense. red and green is probably bad if your more green then red but ok otherwise. i am blue and green as well but i think my ratio is bad and my blue part is too strong and is harming me in some ways. if i could choose i would probably take blue and yellow for overall success in both professional and personal life. yellow seems to be the color that stands the best on its own if you can only have 1. green is probably the safest bet if you have mental disorders and blue the worst for u and red the worst for others.
All I've taken into interpretation from this video is that if you want to get along with everyone you have to change your whole personality just to do so...
this reminds me of my last work place where we only were 4 people to take care of the entire store. The manager was red, the second ranked manager was yellow, a co worker was blue and i was green. The best i could work with was with my co worker. They always were extremly stressed out and paniced when something didnt worked out, i always been terrorized by my boss for being not fast enough and not understanding fast enough while the second grade manager was constandly talking and not working. Best combination we had was me with the co worker and the manager with the second grade manager. Once the combination was changed so were the results and mentality of me and my coworker. Me working with the second grade manager wasnt really great aswell as my coworker with the boss. Work is either done but with both of them being made/exhausted or me being slightly mad and the second grade manager a bit annoyed
I'm green too and my husband is red. It's a disaster. We work best with yellows. I wish I knew this sooner. Then I wouldn't have to constantly battle with depression and anxiety. I hope you find a lot of yellow friends and a yellow partner.
Red is a narcisist Yellow is ADHD, but the rare type, the one that's not anxious. Green is autistic, also the rare not anxious type. Blue is an anxious overthinker. Edit: I do wonder about what the "I hope you're feeling empowered and less *surrounded by idiots* imply...
✌️🟢 Green ASD/PTSD Social anxiety and Autism co-occur at high rates, particularly among high-masking Autistic individuals. Many Autistic people have been initially diagnosed with social anxiety while their underlying Autism has been missed. This aims to help differentiate between the two, emphasizing the importance of accurate diagnosis. Autism and PTSD have some overlapping symptoms, including sensory sensitivities, avoidant behaviors, and potential difficulty in social situations. Both can coexist in some people, like myself.
One of my parents is red and blue, and the other is green. In some ways I feel like I am/became a yellow purely because someone needed to be in dealing with them.
It is normal to have attributes of every category. It's just that people, once they grow older, see more benefit in one way or the other. If you are young and your personality is still developing, you will find this video pretty confusing, but once everything falls in place for you it becomes relatable. I think this should have been the preface for this episode 😂
With buckets like these, I alway keep in mind that people usually shift which they project day to day, and over the course of a year. I lean heavily towards Blue most of the time, but at some points I end up as all types of colors. They are less boxes you can sort people into, and a single pool with fuzzy bordurs, and some people swim around more than others.
Yes, these were the colours many years ago when they designated people according to the Four Humours in medieval science and medicine. I remember it as Red - choleric, Yellow - sanguine, Blue - melancholy, and Green - phlegmatic. Doesn’t really help as much as the Enneagram, though. Not enough nuance. Plus it is based in a very flawed vision of medicine and psychology. Recycled ideas from 40 years ago, which was recycled from the time of Galen.
Totally agree. I did this then the Enneagram at a retreat over a decade ago. Works well in combination however, if I could only choose one it would be the Enneagram every time 👍🏻
This is so systematic, I’d like this to be compared to what traits a company wants there employees to have. What type of personality you need to be most successful at a completing a task or job?
The entre presentation put me in to the mindset of a previous workplace setting that enabled a toxic work culture to flourish. It ruined people's health.
I am keeping in mind these four types when starting my own business and create a mainstream company. Thank you for the information. I will read this book, one day.
It's rather interesting the blues are mentioned as 'analytical' because where I took the color test, the blues were the creative ones. If I were to base myself off this version of the 4 colors, I think I would be more of a yellow than a green (green was my initial result long ago).

Try to follow up with that:
"Do you like to draw"
"Not really, I pass my time reading books"
"Oh, what are some of your favorite books"
Something like that
Idk if th3y made a video on small talk after ur comment but i also have a problem with small talk what helped me is his videos How to improve communication skills theres another one cure 4 social anxiety theres no cure but both of these videos helped me the communication skills is a good one check that one out if u can
Lol a mind map of small talk
This is great! Helps me understand my yellow co-worker who talks non-stop, is ADHD, and is driving me crazy. I'm a blue/ green 😊
One of the things I got from this video is that adults are just kids in bigger bodies.
Only bills separate kids and adults realistically lol.
Bingo.🎉

Agree
The yep, we don’t stop being humans just because we grow up.
Thank you for coming back Elvin, Life and Work was kind of not effective without you Around.
This idea is also important for marriage. I think, can help understand and work better.
This is a perfect video to master the skill of interaction.
"that it only fits 5% of the population" Can you show source of this statement, please?

"What a fascinating video! I need to watch it again because it prompted a deeper analysis of my personality, helping me avoid problems when I have to work with others."
I’m impressed by the illustrator✍🏼👏🏼💕
I guess I'm a 1%er cause I'm all 4 of these nutters! Definitely relate bigtime to each one!
I'm ambidextrous, introverted and extroverted, plus autistic, so my brain is a very busy place every day.
Were you naturally ambidextrous or did you practice?
@@dhavamaneeganesh2147 I write left and throw right. I sometimes practice tasks with the hand that feels less natural, and sometimes I'll just do it that way for a while.
I'm a combination of green and blue. Currently trying to work on boosting my self esteem and reducing my desire for perfectionism
Based on this video, I rate myself 70-30 blue-green. My wife is red-yellow and the communication conflicts are real.
I'm green and my husband is red. It's a disaster.
june w, it’s tricky living too with a red father, yellow-green mother and I would say I’m green (with flashes of yellow in some circumstances and flashes of red in others. )
We have one guy in our team that has all the colors represented almost equally.
in my group of friends have all four colours. 1 red, 2 blue, 2 yellow, 1 green. yes, it is challenging for us to keep in track and to keep up with every member. with all the group assignments, group activities, hanging out, and so on. me as a yellow + green find it quite hard to match some of the members, but at the end of the day, we'll figure it out and be close to a person that matches our colour, but still staying in the group because we still need each other.
thank you for the video. It really helped me recognize my friends personality colour and how to handle it
Red sounds like a real ass.
They vote at least.
@@thereisnosanctuary6184They did. Dems did, but not enough of them. So make fun of them both. Republicans will need to be directly and loudly shamed for the next 4 years. Make them regret voting for Trump. Dems need to be shamed on their inaction, their lack of leadership skills and excuses. If they didn’t vote, then they contributed to Trump’s win.
The only real ass is you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even if I sit down and “learn what I am missing” from the yellow or whatever, it’ll still be me that has to do all the work, so what’s the point.
0:17 GASP my coworkers can think??
😂😂
Mine don't even seem to be trying!!! 😂
Their lights flicker every now and then, but I refuse to consider calling thàt thinking!

Beautifully curated video; extremely informative 👏
The blue and yellow explains my inner conflict.
I have a green/red conflict.
I'm blue with nervous breakdown if something -or someone works not only logical😂
Think I'm yellow with blue stripes
I’m lime 😵💫 yellow green
Blue and red explains the conflict i have with most people :'D
Fabulous Video!! Your work is always so thorough and clear. I'm reading more quality books because of your excellent choices!!
Learned about this system at a team building event years ago and this video summarizes it beautifully.
I'm right in the middle between green and blue, but green feels a little more like myself. At work I'm having the most difficulties interacting with the reds.
I must be turquoise, because I'm a mix of Green and Blue 😂
Same 😅
That's make things so much clear. I think this video should reach more people like that's the reality of an entrepeneur, owner of a business life struggles in daily life, the employers behavior can be explained by they nature , and you should't fire them you should understand which one should work at which task in which group,in sume you need to put them in the right groups .
Reminds me of the animal personality types: lion, beaver, otter, golden retriever
I completely agree with the finals considerations. The book is just a compass it helps you identify some characteristics in others, and in yourself, it won't put an end to all conflicts but will help to make relationships easier 😉
I love your videos ❤
Red is a menace
😂😂yes they are
Red's need to take charge is based on anxiety.
No, that's yellow; not so bad if they're family, but I don't want to work with a yellow ever again in my life.
Politically , blue is .
Good for you! So at least you know you can't/hate being red!
yeah your right i do feel empowered cuz apparently im the avatar. i change through out the day and with different task. This just helped me uderstand why sometimes im on top of things and later i can feel like i never stood a chance.
Well no point of buying a book, saved my time, thank you
If anyone ever accuses me of being yellow. I'll have to agree with them now.
You're yellow, fellow!
@MrNobo15 Wtf, you calling me yellow boy!?!...Oh, nevermind. I am yellow, yay 🙌
It was one of your best video of all time. I found myself clearly described in what you were saying.
I just hoped you would tell us where you locate yourself. You made it so great. It filled me with ideas of what to do and what to be.
Thanks
This classification helps in 2 ways:
1) To understand the negative aspects of all these characters
2) To understand the positive aspects of all these characters and work on developing them in ourselves ❤
Part 4, blue and yellow is gold 👌
After centuries finally got a video worth watching ❤
Im a total blue and yellow!!!!!
No wonder I don’t understand and I can’t stand myself sometimes lol
I'm mix green, yellow and blue with green prevailing
I cannot stand myself sometimes when it comes to making decisions....
@@Hasio-Maszkietnik i am green and blue but prevailing blue and think having green prevailing over blue is likely better. i am still up and its 2:30 am that's my blue part.
I love this. And like many, I feel like a mix of all colours. Might narrow it to two but not sure
I’m mostly yellow! 🥳 Green is the least accurate, like 0%. Red is the second closest. Blue is only when I’m anxious, and green is never.
Waoow! This is a super great one to know. Thanks a lot, and God richly bless you!
I became green because of my anxiety
Same
Me too😅
I’m mostly Green and Blue combo. 💚💙 But when working I can be a red/blue, especially when there is a timeline. I would like to use this as an experiment to see if certain people will react accordingly. 🤔 Thx for the video!
Best lesson ever ❤
Excellent video!!! This is good information along woth MBTI and attachment styles. You can learn so much from this research. Bravo!!!
Here’s how I’d classify these in terms of MBTI:
Red: ESTJ, ENTJ, ENTP, ESTP
Yellow: ENFP, ESFP, ENFJ, ESFJ
Green: INFP, ISFP, ISFJ, INFJ
Blue: ISTJ, ISTP, INTP, INTJ
Nailed it on a few of us.
Analyst - RED
Explorers - YELLOW
Diplomats - GREEN
Sentinels - BLUE
@@Shy.1521 I would disagree. Red and Yellow seem to all be extroverted while blue and green are all introverted. INTP is much more blue than red, ENFP and ENFJ are definitely more yellow than green etc.
It seems to be divided by:
Red: extroverted thinkers
Yellow: extroverted feelers
Green: Introverted feelers
Blue: Introverted thinkers
Rather than dividing by intuition vs sensing
In my opinion lol
The human experience is not that simple not matter what catigorizations or labels we try to assign.
I like your content👍 Nice attention to details

Being a perfectionist and an introvert with a "blue and green" vibe sounds like a pretty thoughtful and organized way to navigate life.
I am all four colours. Might be schizophrenia
I always considered you more of a mauve.

All I've taken into interpretation from this video is that if you want to get along with everyone you have to change your whole personality just to do so...
I hope I'll NEVER have to work with a yellow again. Some people act like they're getting paid to chat and take breaks, instead of working.
this reminds me of my last work place where we only were 4 people to take care of the entire store.
I think I’m a green person. And my close friend is a red person . No wonder I feel stressed when I’m with her
I'm green too and my husband is red. It's a disaster. We work best with yellows. I wish I knew this sooner. Then I wouldn't have to constantly battle with depression and anxiety. I hope you find a lot of yellow friends and a yellow partner.
Awesomely Hilarious! The Book and the Way You Presented. Throughly Enjoyed.
If life were that simple.
You explain things in such a simple and fun way!
Red is a narcisist
Yellow is ADHD, but the rare type, the one that's not anxious.
Green is autistic, also the rare not anxious type.
Blue is an anxious overthinker.
Edit: I do wonder about what the "I hope you're feeling empowered and less *surrounded by idiots* imply...
As a audhd (autism +adhd) with paranoia and anxiety, I see this as an absolute win
@@axl256gamesx7omfg💀
******* red is not a narcissist. Red is at the highest frequency.
This is exactly what I thought
No, red just gets things done at the expense of existing as a douche with an imaginary superiority complex.

Red - Lion
Yellow - Dog
Green - Elephant
Blue - Wolf
I'm a Unicorn
why the animals?
Lions sleep most of the day. (They are cats.)
Red - narcissistic personality disorder
Yellow - attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder
Green - social anxiety disorder
Blue - anxiety disorder
I'm a narcissistic attention addict 😁
✌️🟢 Green ASD/PTSD
Social anxiety and Autism co-occur at high rates, particularly among high-masking Autistic individuals.
Imagine being polar opposites. Apparently, I'm paired as Red & Blue.
As a green & yellow, u sound terrible
One of my parents is red and blue, and the other is green. In some ways I feel like I am/became a yellow purely because someone needed to be in dealing with them.
I have all 4…AT THE SAME TIME.
I am a yellow! And I have worked with a a lot of reds…hahaha
And my best friend is a green😀
It is normal to have attributes of every category. It's just that people, once they grow older, see more benefit in one way or the other. If you are young and your personality is still developing, you will find this video pretty confusing, but once everything falls in place for you it becomes relatable.
I think this should have been the preface for this episode 😂
Some people work very hard to make things complex especially women 😅😅😅
😂 I deeply enjoy this video @ 60 years old. Been there & done that!!
Me being 50% green, 35% blue and 15% yellow
Yes! Exactly. I'm sitting here thinking, how am I red and green?

Yellows are definitely the creative ones in this context.
Bit of a spelling mistake in the title there
Unfortunately with titles UA-cam doesn’t give you enough space for a complete title. So you have to be creative with your spelling.
OK I get that but by dropping the "N" in the word you created a complete new meaning. Why didnt you just drop the space after the Colon: @@sherrellejohnson3451

Yellow & Green - Talk and emotions are cheap. If nothing gets done, you can kiss your happyness goodbye.
