Intelligent people are not those who have all the answers, but those who have the curiosity to keep asking questions and the persistence to keep seeking the truth.
Most of these sound like me. I was always told some of these were signs of laziness and I was not applying myself enough and that I must have been cheating when we read the book Sarah Plain and Tall along to an audio recording. We were supposed to write about what we read in the chapter(s) we were assigned to read. My teacher thought I copied from the book. I didn't. I had to come in with my mother and her ex husband and prove I wasn't cheating. The teacher picked out something for me to read and then I had to write about what I just read. I did that and my teacher read what I wrote and was shocked. She said I had a photographic memory. I basically wrote down the chapter almost verbatim. I didn't think of it that that way. I wrote down what I remembered happened in the chapter. She apologized and said if it looks like I copied, we would compromise, and she would take me into the hallway and ask me what happened in the assigned reading. I agreed and I was never taken out into the hallway because I became more mindful of how I wrote about our reading assignments.

Ah yes, zoning out of the world full of distractions to focus on what you are passionate about, or just staring at nothing and getting lost in thought. That feeling is really satisfying.
I know many high intelligent people. And my boyfriend has an IQ of 150 and everytime I ask him about lonieness he says he isn't lonly. And socially he is not isolated but has a quite big siced friend group.
I'm like that. Most of the time I'm very isolated from other people. Everyone else would spend time with others, while I would sit alone and do something with myself. But I don't mind it because I like being alone. Sometimes people are just too much for me.
Thank you for this! I am 49 years old, and in the past ten years I spent weeks and months every year in psychiatric hospitals because of depression, addiction and ADHS. It turned out that I have an IQ of 145, though the questions in the IQ test seemed very hard for me. I‘m better at music, languages, arts and other creative fields. Only recently I discovered that a lot of my problems and frustration are a result of me being different. I feel that I can’t communicate with most people and get constantly misunderstood. Your video explains a lot. Thanks from Germany!!
Don't flatter yourself. I'm not so sure your mental issues have anything to do with your high IQ. Some of us are just fine and do not need hospitalization, or have depression, addiction, ADHD, ego, attitude, narcissism, etc.
I can recognize myself in several of these signs. Many people tend to hate my guts becaues of how I can remember events and conversations from forty years ago, often in which they were involved.
went to a high school reunion, and before it was over, I had a few of my classmates question if I was making this stuff up or not, they did not remember things from the 3 rd grade. or even 11 grade,
@@CoperXYZMy Mother was like that. Especially if it was something negative. My Mother and I actually got into an argument because right before I took her out to Lunch for her Birthday, she decided she was going to take a trip down memory lane. Knowing she was a Narcissist, she wanted to be absolved of anything negative. I was not about to allow it.
Thank you. You described me completely. I have been alone for 54 years. When I try to be around people, I am told I should "dumb down" because I intimidate people, particularly men. I can recall complete conversations and likely tell you the date and place.
I have had to "dumb down" the majority of my life. I've never found "my people", and I LOVE my solitude! My favorite hours are from 1am to 5am because everyone is on mute and it's the only time I really feel at peace.
Loneliness is a common trait amongst the bright, unfortunately. If I had a dollar for every time someone average rudely told me to "Shut up, because nobody knows what you're talking about!" I'd be loaded. Intelligence is a gift AND a curse. 😔
@@ruthiemay423 If you want to get under his skin a little Ruthie, point out that you're supposed to use "an" before words beginning with a vowel. He used 'a'. As in "a ugly genius." This points to his intelligence quotient, for sure! So he's dumb, AND mean! What a J A.
My grandchildren's teachers told my daughter that they were amazed at how large her children's vocabulary is in the lower grades. My daughter told their teachers that it was because of me. I always talkedvin a normal tone and way to my grandchildren. I never believed in baby talk.
New acquaintances assumed I was a college graduate when I wasn’t. Eventually I realized it was largely vocabulary. When my daughter was an infant I decided part of being a good mother was to be well read. The library had a copy of the classics list I was given in high school. I read them all. And I read the other books of the authors who were on that list.
Only an intelligent person would do that...others barely think about it ....I found it difficult to express myself so I inhaled a dictionary! ... and I learned people don't use feeling words much . .I'm also an empath so I needed them !
Vocabulary and proper grammar go a LOOOONG way. I didn’t go to college but found work as a Lead Technician for Apple Inc and then a Components Technician for SpaceX! With only a high school diploma from Benton, Kentucky.
I've realized that intelligence is everything you know and can do. The more skills you have, and the more diverse you are, the more intelligent you must be.
Hm. An intelligent person who doesn't aquire any skills is still intelligent... Intelligence is the base. Like the hardware of the computer, and/or the OS. Skills are the software, and "intelligence" influences how fast you can get them installed and running, and how well they work.
@@Zett76 A person is born with intelligence, but if that person never learns or acquires any skills, that potential is lost and the person remains ignorant. Our mind is not a piece of hardware. It's a growing biological facility that has to be exercised to acquire its potential.

I was reading about the cancer drug cisplatin and the guy (or maybe a team) who stumbled upon it. And I said to myself “this guy is really smart.” I mean, this guy stuck a pair of electrodes into a Petri dish and these bacteria started growing like crazy. So he decided to find out why. He wasn’t looking to cure cancer but the results of his research lead to a highly effective treatment for testicular cancer and other cancers. Hallelujah!! 🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
Intelligence is so complex. For example gifted children are often annoyed by tags on clothing. Gifted adults may cry and become emotional at a song or a beautiful painting. Those who achieve flow , the ease of doing something that comes naturally to them have realized their special genius.
While having aspergers syndrome/ autism, I found a skill i never knew, skimming. I found a stick at a rock pool years ago, I somehow knew how to twist it like an expert with years of experience and practice. My talent led to my mom having to get some cones for me to hit with the stick that i had. When i wasn't outside, i would very often hit coats and hit air in the front of my mom's giant mirror. Am i intelligent?
I belong to #6. Peace and solitude are my favorite. Solving problems is much easier and more creative at home or at work. I could focus myself on the projects that needed attention.
Min opfattelse er den, at hvis du ikke er helt ærlig omkring dine svagheder, så opnår du ingen fremgang på noget som helst. Igennem modgangen skal den spirende sjæl vokse. Total erkendelse eller ingen brugbart resultat
The memory thing freaks people out. I met a girl once and only once in a reception lobby and saw the girl online and remembered where she worked and the signs on the walls ect. I was like “I swear I am not a stalker I just have photographic memory.” But she said the description was spot on. That event was from 30 years ago.
I received really bad grades in school so I always thought that I was dumb, so I drifted through life not even trying. I was able to start and run my own carpet cleaning business for 20 years but never anything that required brain power. Until I sort of became an upright bass player. I was surprised that my brain could learn music so easily. I'm so glad a friend talked me into learning to play because up until age 52 I just assumed I wasn't capable of learning. I do have many of the traits of highly intelligent people so maybe I'm not as dumb as I thought.
Well, at least I didn't fail on all, but, sadly, a majority. But old age has taught me to be kind to myself, as well as others, and I'm happy inside (though not with the world)
One time in year 8, we had this assignment for music to write lyrics, it was my first time so I didn’t know what to write. 30 minutes later I wrote an idea down for what it could be about, the teacher came up to me and read it, he said “This idea is better than all the other year 8’s have done” I was shocked, it was only my first time so I don’t know how I was already better then the other people. This is an example of apparently having musical talent at writing music
My daughter has this kind of intelligence. When she was ten she heard a song once on the way home from piano practice. It was the last song on Chickenfoot's first album which was just released that day. She went in the house and played the chorus and a verse on piano. It takes me a couple months to learn a new song on guitar (I'm not gifted in this way). She will look up the chords to the same song and play and sing it. It's like she doesn't need to think about the strumming, it just happens.
This video confirms what I already knew! I’m pathetic enough to seek affirmation from a UA-cam video, and desperate enough to believe it’s true! Thanks UA-cam! My confidence is BACK!!!!

When it comes to our habits, there is a shortcut. If you take vitamins, place those nearby a glass of water, as hydration is also important. Turn your next meeting into a walking meeting to incorporate movement into your day. Habit stacking will save time, but more importantly, it’s a way to make sure those nourishing actions don’t get canceled out of your day.
"Intelligence is your ability to learn from your experiences and use those experiences to shape and understand your environment" Couldn't have said better. But, that's where the analysis just begin, because just about everyone does this, so I think it come down to the importance and value one put on a particular experience and its importance or relevance at a given time or situation in ones future encounters......

Bless you, sounds like you've lived a full and lovely life ❤️ I hope to feel that way too when I reach my 60s. I also had all 12 on the list. I'm currently 28 years old, I also jave dyslexia and am ambidextrous, I've worn glasses since the 4th grade because I jave trouble seeing far away. I'm currently in college, almost finished a dual bachelor's degree in philosophy and cultural area studies with minors in Asian Studies and professional Japanese. I'm taking 2 grad classes for TESOL right now while I wait for information about my study abroad trip to Japan that I'll be embarking on in April. Ive taught myself many creative hobbies such as sewing, music, wood working, yoga, and many many more. I have a hard te connecting with other people my age but I've always hung around older people because they seemed to understand more. Now I realize it was just that they had more experiences and I really wanted to learn from them. Thank you for posting on this video, I'm glad I got to learn about you today 🥰 I hope you have the most wonderful evening 💗

Horses are also remarkably intelligent. They plan ahead, conceive strategies and have a wicked sense of humour. I looked after two which had a wicked sense of humour who would plan their escape from the corral then when free would turn heads around, look back and laugh at me....
I didn't know left-handed is an issue. Only for people who are right-handed. am also left-handed. My mom was both and one of the things she could do was write her name with both hands at the same time. And coming together in the middle of the paper . And vise a versa.
Recent research has shown that the bio-energy that horses give off/emit is very similar to the energy humans create/emit when the humans are happy. Only the horses create a bigger amount of it. PTStress healing of people by horses.
High intelligence can sometimes have negative downsides. I can't stand small chat. I don't invest my energy in anything that doesn't have a goal I can get behind. It doesn't have to benefit me, but there does have to be a benefit somewhere. I suffer ruminations and have difficulty falling asleep since I can't shut off my thoughts. I get bored easily. I want to be challenged and too many things fall short. I read very fast and can read two or three books a day for pleasure. It's expensive. Anxiety is an overused term that most people don't really understand. Processing so many thoughts at once can be chaotic and overwhelming, which is quite scary. I'm always want to experience new things, but a lack of financing means I won't be able to see and do everything I dream about. It's more painful because it's through new experiences that I get inspiration, fill in the blank spots of other thoughts, and regenerate the energy to continue exploration if those thoughts. My ideal job would be too get paid to go to school forever. All over the world. Studying various topics. Exploring new culture. Seeing how everything in the world fits together.

Hmmm... I am all of those... and having worked in fields where IQ tests were the norm I do know that I am above average bright. It constantly surprises me that others cannot think as fast or in such complex ways as I do... but it's something I have learned to accept. I am 80 now and probably not as sharp as 40 years ago, but I manage to get along still... 🙂
I have a measured iq of 148 and literally every point in this video applies to me. Sadly when I was in my teen years (early and mid 90's) there wasn't really attention for this which resulted in leaving school fairly early and having trouble making human connections.. On the other hand I can basically turn on any radio station and sing along with every song from begin to end (Ilove to go to karaoke clubs.. :)) and can vividly remember everything since I was 2... It has many pro's and cons but all together I think this hasn't made me very happy for a large part of my life.. Great video and greetings from the Netherlands!
Here's something: My earliest memory is of laying in my cot looking up at my father singing 'Hickory dickory dock'. The point is that this was before my brother was born, so I must have been about one year old, with a knowledge of the English language that would have been next to nothing, so the words of that nursery rhyme should have just been unintelligible sounds. Yet I remember being fascinated by the idea of a mouse running up a clock.
#13. People around you seem lifeless, like sheep that live the same life as everyone else, and you only wish to find someone who lives as interesting of a life as you do. You love the way you live, and you are unimpressed by how boring other people are. No one does anything interesting. You are the most interesting person in your world. You are impressed by your own activities. You are consumed by yourself. You try to reach out to find similar people, but they all just think you’re an outcast of society because you don’t do normal things. You can try to convey the ideas in your head to other people, but no one understands them, even when they want to understand and try to do so. People cannot relate to you. You always feel like you don’t belong where you’re currently standing. But you’re happy anyway, because you love who you are, not just because you should, but because you understand yourself.

Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her
Maybe you should try to go to church and find a relationship with God so you feel less alone overall. They have Christian counselors there. It's better to not put people on pedestals and think that we can't live without them, when it's God that we can't live without. You seem to be grieving and you probably need to see a therapist for grief and trauma and not expect your therapist or spiritual counselor to bring back the one that you love. Maybe she will come back and maybe not. You need to work on healing you.
If you truly love her and she has moved on, people do change, the let her go please. I know how much you hurt but persueing someone who has moved on is not kind.
Have you heard of this? “If you love something very much, let it go, if it comes back, it’s yours to keep, if it doesn’t, it was never meant to be”….I truly believe it.
At 15 my SAT scores were OVER 1600. This was during the seventies. My high school granted me a rather unique offer. I could walk into any classroom and sit in as long as I wanted. There was a catch though. I was warned that if I spoke to anyone about my “special privileges” I would have to go back to my old routine of classes. I really didn’t think it was a big deal at the time. I actually learned more because I could learn anything I wanted. But only the things I was interested in. While at the same time, I was skipping school to get high with my friends. My friends and I spent all our time getting stoned and trashing the government. Somehow this didn’t affect me in a negative way. I have gone back to school on and off and now I have 5 different degrees and 7 certifications. I’ve done things nobody has done before. I have had a very interesting life so far. But I never talk about it to anyone because nobody would believe it.
I WILL believe you, please tell me because i'm in the same boat and love unbelievable stories that are actually true. Also when things get 'supernatural', which is an oxymoron.

I feel like I am intelligent, but not as intelligent as I was as a teenager. I love to take the time to analyse things, I do daydream somtimes, but I like to spend as much time as I can being productive throughout the day. I am always looking for things to do and trying different approaches to things to try to make the process more efficient. I like to have at least 50% of my day with my own thoughts and tasks I wish to complete.
you don't loose intelligence, you loose creativity. Cause whatever you learn is: "that's the way you have to do it", you don't think about it any more, you don't question a solution you already have applied very often. You feel open minded as a teenager cause you are more stupid. You know less, you think more. But that's something that can be trained. ....but careful, question yourself too much is a source of depression.

Iq isn’t just how smart u r but how well your memory is and using ur experience when needed , if your a fast learner and depends on your decisions you make..We are all smart in our own ways :)
I relate to 1 and 11 very closely. I have an ability to quickly generate mechanical design solutions (I have a degree in mechanical engineering and most of my working life has been as a desinger). When I get a possible solution the first thing I do is try to rip it to pieces by trying to find fault with it. I will go at it until I find a fault and then either modify the idea to eliminate the fault or drop it and move on. (Often this is not wasteful as I will learn something from the process which improves my next idea). I can come up with the ideas pretty quickly and easily and as a consequence have little emotional attachment to them. If they are faulty they are faulty and should be modified or ignored. This has helped me immensly in coming up with good ideas. Eventually I will get a solution that I can't find fault with and then I will go with it. I find the opposite of this in many people I have worked with. They have a hard time coming up with an idea and once they do they will hold onto it like grim death. When confronted with a fatal flaw in their idea they will spend hours coming up with all sorts of excuses as to why it is still a good idea. That time would be better spent modifying their idea to remove the fatal flaw. As for 11, some of my most productive time as a designer was spent sitting back in my chair, eyes closed with my hands behind my head. To anyone it would look as though I had drifted off to sleep, but I would be intensly focused on a problem that needed a solution.
I do not know if this applies to me, but sometimes I get ideas in my head about what if this or what if that. As an example, I was thinking to myself earlier today about that water bottle I had where the remainder of water had frozen. I then started coming up with mathematical problems that I would like to solve involving it, such as if 1/3 of the bottle has frozen water and the other two thirds is liquid water with 4 mL of air headspace, and an ambient temperature, how long would it take for the water to reach an equilibrium, and at what point in what stage would it be?
Thank you. I often feel the pressure to do things and think like everyone else (a.k.a. being normal). This video is a relief that I will keep for myself
My mother was very smart. When the school wanted to let her know how I performed on an IQ test, she said no. To her credit she said that what I would do in life was far more important. She ended up raising me to excel in the high tech industry and becoming a muti-millionaire.
wow, everything from 3 to 12. Minus the anxiety. I don't consider myself a very anxious/nervous person, I'm not prone to panic even when I probably should be, and while I tend to overthink things sometimes I'm not really worried about them so much as, "let's take a moment to consider this unlikely scenario just in case it becomes less unlikely and we need to deal with it mmk"
I'll bet you make up for not having anxiety by being especially calm in confusing situations. I've pulled that one off a few times but probably more often identify with the anxiety thing. Self-doubt hits hard. But I also pick up instruments quickly, and just think that anyone could do that. I've known a lot of people who could so it doesn't seem particularly special to me.
Let's try this out: 1. Creative ideas: Yes. 2. Dark sense of humor: Yes. 3. Great memory: No. 4. Daydreaming: No. 5. Emotional attunement: Yes. 6. Craving total solitude: Absolutely! 7. Raw musical talent: Can sing, but no instruments. 8. Understanding ambiguity: No. Much prefer definitive answers. 9. Imagination overdrive: Nope. Recognize flaws, work around them, so no anxiety. 10. Sources of inspiration: HATE disorganized work environments, so no. Final score: More intelligent than most (a pretty low bar), but self-aware enough to develop work-arounds to enhance functional intelligence and problem-solving.
I checked everything. I don’t have high levels of anxiety anymore though. But everything is literally me. Honestly I don’t even think I have any anxiety
The ability of memory can be selective, I struggle with names and exact detail recall but concepts are another thing. I remember what is useful to move things on and evolve, and what inspires me to expand the concepts into other things.
Precisely. I remember ideas and useful information, and constantly pursue them. We moved often when I was young so I learned that remembering names was not likely to be useful for long, so I started collecting information instead.
I think that those that keep an open mind and NEVER assume things about people you dont know shows high intelligence as well. Finding out the why behind anything unknown(to me) is one of my favorite activities to engage in. Things arent always as they seem especially people.
Being intelligent can have its benefits but also its drawbacks if you’re a woman. Men don’t like intelligent women. If they do end up asking you out they don’t stand a chance if they aren’t at least as intelligent as you or have some kind of expertise or accomplishment that you don’t. So either you try to surround yourself with smart men (praying that there isn’t a serial killer in the bunch) and hope that one finds you attractive and you find him attractive, or you just give up because it’s exhausting at the end of the day. Your friendship base is smaller unless you happen to have done a good job of surrounding yourself with intelligent people. It can distance you from others because you have less in common with the average person. A lot of folks become draining and hard to be around because you can’t talk to them on a level that you need to. So basically being intelligent can make you a lonely person.
I initially was going to reply, but then thought better of it, and decided it wasn't really going to be adding anything of value.... until I came across your other comment regarding ADHD. What I was originally going to say was, that whilst I agree that some men do indeed find intelligent women intimidating (and interestingly that doesn't seem to be as big of a problem in reverse), I've got to say that otherwise, as a hetero man, my life experience has been almost exactly the same as the rest of your comment. I.e. size of friendship base of REAL friends (not just friendly acquaintances), finding mundane conversations with people not on your level draining, or a real effort to continue over time, and often feeling a bit alone in the world. I've heard of and read about studies that confirm this phenomenon for 'intelligent' people, but now also discovering I have ADHD, I have looked back at a lot of my life and discovered that I think THAT is also part of the reason for those experiences as well. Anyway, in summary I also wanted to mention that I can assure you (what I'm sure you already know), that there definitely ARE men out there who like intelligent women, but that, just as it can sometimes be equally frustrating for me to find a single, similarly minded, intelligent woman that I'm attracted to, they are just statistically not as common as the general populace overall, and hence, just harder to come across randomly, as you correctly identified. But they DO exist and it's just a matter of timing/luck/effort to find one. Who knows, maybe even there's an 'app' for that (although I've never used them)? Haha. But anyway, that was just a long, ADHD-ramble-way of saying that it's not necessarily that different from the other side of the fence, apart from the social stigma/male ego side of things. Good luck and happy hunting! 😂
Thank you for making me watch this video. I now know more about me, thank you. I appreciate your work on this video, and how relatable it was. Keep up the great work!
It’s really fun to watch a video in which you relate to every single signs of being intelligent when you feel really stupid, even if you know you actually kind of are stupid
Being tested to a very high IQ i share your opinion that intelligence isn’t uni-dimensional. There are many things i can’t do so well or above average and other topics where it feels creepy even for me what i just “see” without thinking.
True. I have met people like you in school and I thought they were amazing. Here's my case: Aside fr his MBA degree, my husband is an airline pilot who graduated fr the Air Force Academy. A lot of times he would just surprise me with questions or statements that make me doubt if he really asked/said them bc to me they seem to be so obvious, even dumb. But he does other brilliant things that amaze me. His genius lies in flying and some other stuff that I have no skill or interest in even if it saves my life. I have lots of interests and passions. I read and write in several languages. I yearn to discover new things every day, and I think I have enough common sense but there are also lots of things I can not do. I can never do Math for one. I lack that part of my brain that can process and retain numbers. Some people are obviously smarter than others but we all have our own geniuses if we only had the opportunity to hone them. At least, that's what I have been led to believe.
You know . There are some people out there that can remember conversations word for word they had many years ago word for word. Marilu Henner was one of those people who could do that.
This comment makes no sense at all, bc I think if your asking yourself if you’re intelligent, but don’t know the correct answer you’re gonna search something up to know better. I don’t think that people who are not intelligent at all, would search this up just to feel better.
After watching this whole video I'm still left asking myself, what made me click on it? And if the video was only made to make an individual feel better in desperate times?
I don't crave solitude anymore. My brain is far active not to think. Or to think myself crazy. People amuse me. Checking them out is a beautiful thing. Also poking, and understanding them gives me more to think about. I just adapt to any situation, but I act funny to them. Also, hit them from many regions of knowledge they get fascinated with me. And I can't stop. Ambivert as the situation needs.
@@CristiBarosanu79 All they say is that we are introverted self-absorbed maniacs, not enough socialized. But we adapted our asses far away from that. And I think that these online psychologists are full of bullshit. We are abnormal, but we can act like we are dumb like the rest of the human race. With no problem. Sometimes I just can't keep my mouth shut.
I can see me in many of these. I write humor but always have someone check it because it can be unacceptably dark. I love music. I have some. I talk to myself. Sometimes I mean to really listen to what someone says but need to watch it several times because I am processing it.
One sign of high intelligence may be knowing when to stop taking in superfluous information - and quickly moving on to other sources that may prove to be more useful... Off to the next video!
I am aligned with the following... Good memory, lots of ideas, solitary, musician, love challenges and ambiguity, as long as I can eventually solve the problem.... Yes imagination overdrive for sure...writer, filmmaker, computer expert, psychology expert, etc 😊 and clutter but I don't like the mess!
Thanks for this video. I try to be smart and these qualities are mostly how. I try. Some things come easily like dancing to the beat but I spend a lot of time thinking and don't understand why others don't take more time to think about things or try to understand or make themselves understood. Then they expect me to simply submit to whatever they say. It's ridiculous.
You can train yourself to pass standard IQ tests with a good score.... meaning they are effectively useless. I think that everyday problem solving is a good sign of intelligence.
Dude, I was going to point this out, but 80% of the comment section is just "I scored 142 on an IQ test when I was 6!!!" Didn't want to burst their bubble. 😂
I took IQ tests as a kid, as a young adult, and last year just for the heck of it. And the score was about the same, give or take a few points each time. I definitely didn’t train for them.
yea, i wrote an essay in high school about how IQ tests are culturally biased and therefore just unfair and useless. i think we should worry way more about common sense and kindness than intelligence.
What about when you think you are not and find out you were smarter than you realized? This might be good for those who tell themselves or others tell them that they are stupid. Jealous people tell smart people they are stupid.
I can totally relate to most of the things here but one that stood out was the laughing thing, I would find funny things that I guess other people think I am crazy.
I have very low self-esteem and self deprecating is what I do best, but videos like this do help me realize that I may not be as dumb as I think I am. Thank you, I really appreciate it.

I tell my son *_"I don't know. Let's find out TOGETHER."_*

Until you can find others like yourself - usually by accident.
I'm like that. Most of the time I'm very isolated from other people. Everyone else would spend time with others, while I would sit alone and do something with myself. But I don't mind it because I like being alone. Sometimes people are just too much for me.

Hm.
An intelligent person who doesn't aquire any skills is still intelligent...
Intelligence is the base. Like the hardware of the computer, and/or the OS. Skills are the software, and "intelligence" influences how fast you can get them installed and running, and how well they work.

Intelligence is like an ocean. Yes, it's wide and seemingly can go on forever but it only gets so deep in specific areas.
true
Intelligence is so complex. For example gifted children are often annoyed by tags on clothing. Gifted adults may cry and become emotional at a song or a beautiful painting. Those who achieve flow , the ease of doing something that comes naturally to them have realized their special genius.
While having aspergers syndrome/ autism, I found a skill i never knew, skimming. I was surprised that my brain could learn music so easily. I'm so glad a friend talked me into learning to play because up until age 52 I just assumed I wasn't capable of learning.

Seeing how everything in the world fits together.

yeah i agree. i think that isn't always a sign of intelligence. it can go either way I think.
intelligence is the ability to learn from other people's experience..
congrats hope it served you and yours well
1: Not worrying about people questioning your intelligence and how it is defined.
Well said. I've had the hardest time with this
yes, well said.

Most apt description of myself 😢
Wow. This really helped me! I already knew i'm a highly intelligent HSP, but you made it clear to me why i THRIVE so enormously while (for the first time in my life) living alone with my dog after 45 years of living together in complicated and rarely satisfying relationships! Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her
@EmilioYepez7 Amazing, how did you get a spiritual counselor, and how do i reach her?
@EmilioYepez7 Thank you for this valuable information, i just looked her up now online. impressive

9. Attended Theatre School & have done some stage acting (amateur)
10. Love reciting my poems in public venues (includjng television). Have done it with great success
11. Love reading! Current faves: Agatha Christie, Gad Saad, Jordan Peterson, Margaret Lawrence, Margaret Atwood, W.D. Valgaardson & More
12. Am sensitive, open-minded & empathetic (perhaps to a fault)
13. Have a rather sardonic sense of humour
14. Love the challenge of good trivia quizzes: learning new things is important, not high scores
15. Have zero tolerance for people who suffer from tunnel vision or indulge in gossip, innuendo or conspiracy theories. Gag!
16. Have been known for my photographic memory
17. Have an eclectic taste in movies & prefer foreign series
18. Am very different from my contemporaries & fully embrace my "uniqueness."
19. Know that I may not be everybody's cup of tea; and I have no problem with that. Whoever disapproves of my looks, age, passions, flaws or pastimes is more than welcome to keep walking.

So true. Also, the other item. As a writer, I used to create my stories by sitting, thinking. My friends were worried by it.
Thank you. I often feel the pressure to do things and think like everyone else (a.k.a. being normal).
This video is a relief that I will keep for myself
yah i do too.

When I was younger and married, I felt more anxious. My ex and his mother enjoyed making me feel stupid.
The ability of memory can be selective, I struggle with names and exact detail recall but concepts are another thing. I remember what is useful to move things on and evolve, and what inspires me to expand the concepts into other things.
Not all the time it comes from being in a stressful home and childhood situation
Precisely. I remember ideas and useful information, and constantly pursue them. We moved often when I was young so I learned that remembering names was not likely to be useful for long, so I started collecting information instead.
Thank you! Einstein said the thing more valuable than intelligence is creativity. You did hit on imagination

Being tested to a very high IQ i share your opinion that intelligence isn’t uni-dimensional.
There are many things i can’t do so well or above average and other topics where it feels creepy even for me what i just “see” without thinking.
True. I have met people like you in school and I thought they were amazing. Here's my case:
Aside fr his MBA degree, my husband is an airline pilot who graduated fr the Air Force Academy.

Sign #1: you don't need anyone to confirm your intelligence. You are smart enough to know it.
I saw several reports saying that not so smart people consider themselves smart, so this won't work
det er lige præcis hvad det handler om. Total erkendelse er den første betingelse til at løse et problem
