Hello Justin and Rebecca. Yesterday you removed the empty nucleus boxes. Rebecca admonished you not to fight the bees. She was correct. Bees are attracted to quick, jerky motions. Ms Richardson did not take the empties with her. Hopefully she gave them to you. I know she gave you drawn comb on some of the frames she put in your new boxes. There was no food in those frames. That first box had a lot of bees in it. You might ought to get some food to them. Do you have a front feeder? (boardman feeder) It takes a little time for your bees to find local food sources. There was a ton of capped brood in that box. As it emerges the young bees will need food.
TAKE your empty nuc boxes and put frames with foundation in them. The empty nucs AND your new swarm traps are idle. (How far south are you of I-40?) I think you are far enough south for the bees to still be migrating north west. Take your swarm traps and nucs to the furthermost open point to the north west of your property. Space the four about 500 feet apart in trees about 12 to `14 feet off the ground. With frames and foundATION in the nucs, that is all that you need. In the swarm traPS, you might put some of thAT CRYSTALLIZED honey (teaspoon full) and/or propolis, or a small amount of new brace comb. (Just throw it in! The bees will find it! Very small amount.) Hang those traps with the entrance facing south east.
The most important thing to do right away is to get some food to those bees. If you don't you will loose at least haLF of those in the first box. If you do not have a feeder, make one. Take a baking sheet with about one inch edges to hold the liquid 50/50. Make 50/50 by volume, Heat the water and sugar until the sugar is completely suspended in the water.

Great job on getting the pig put back. Might I suggest you put duct tape around where the electrical cord goes through the door. I lost all my chicken's once to a snake going through a whole about that size and that high off the ground. Also mice can crawl up the electrical cord and fit through the opening. Where do you order your chicken's from? I ordered 25, the hatchery sent 26 and of those only 6 survived shipping. 48 hour's later all of them had passed. Another lady was picking up her 50 chicken's as I was walking in to get mine. The postal worker told me that all her baby chicken's had been DOA. The hatchery said that most likely that my chicken's were left on the tarmac too long or tossed around too much so they were too stressed out. Thank you for sharing! Much love from our family to your family 💞

Wow, like always, so much going on! I just want to say that I'm so happy to hear that your back felt better after moving all that oak flooring. I know you deal with a lot of pain. I sure hope that somehow you could get that pain to stop! The kids are doing so much now it's great to see. I loved hearing Rebekah laughing about the Buckee's cup. I'm glad that the honey bees didn't sting you! That's so great that you're keeping bees now. I hope you can do with only Vanilla's milk since it sounds like you have to dry off Honey. That was so funny when Beefcake decided to take a tour around. I'm glad you finally got him next to cupcake. That compost pile is impressive! The chickens will be so happy! It's fun to see the cows on the ice cream grass. That was great that Lily made the chocolate ice cream too! Those chicks sound so great. I'm glad the whole family helped getting them all set-up. The remodel is looking just great! I might have to try that water bacon cooking method! Thanks so much for this video!

Chickens egg production lowers DRASTICALLY after 2 years. If you're serious, they should be replaced every two years. You can use the old chickens as "soup" chickens. You have to boil your meat all day, but they'll tatse great!!

    • @ericcawith2cs11
