What a fantastic variation from your normal videos. Showing the result at the start and not letting us wait for weeks (or months). Much appreciated. And congratulations on your new shower. 804 bottles. Cheers.
Oh my gosh that’s awesome, and outdoor shower is a great idea. I just noticed Ada got a haircut, that style looks so cute on her. I remember when my daughters were teenagers and they started having their own styles. They grow up so quickly. My youngest is 35 now.! my guess is 933. The views that you have are absolutely breathtaking. What a magical moment it must be to experience. It’s like the heavens are opened up and you have a Birdseye view.
Wow, you're not only building a home, you're building a museum! I imagine all the magazines will want showcase your home. The open shower turned out gorgeous! I love it! Good job everyone 👏 I think there are at least 1320 bottles in this installation.
Beautiful job on the shower. I’m guessing 1052 bottles. It will be so nice to stretch out in your shower. The skyline morning and evening are spectacular. Love you guys.😘💖
My dad (born in 1925) grew up during the Depression. He remembered when his dad rigged up a bucket with holes in it hooked to a water hose. Though he lived til 2009, he said that first shower stayed in his mind till he died.
Such a beautiful place to shower in a stunning setting. I cut lots of bottles for an earthship in Nepal with a stunning view to take away the monotony so my guess is 1260 bottles. You did a lot of cutting, Ashley
I could go on and on about why this channel is SOOO AWESOME!!!!!! But please allow me to say that this video was quick, informative, and very interesting! I do not have the time, and therefore patience to actually WATCH a lot of the newer videos! This one was definitely a refreshing change. Do not fault me, please. I simply don't have the time right now, so I will skip over them. Please understand!!!!! As always, I love the channel and the content!!!!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the shape of the outdoor shower the light coming through the glass is delightful,! I'm guessing 1295 bottles. So great to see everyone pitching in together. Love your sunsets😃
Oh my gosh guys!! That shower is soooo beautiful! As always you all did a great job. I am so in love with the design of the shower. Plus the view while you shower is the cherry on top. 🥰
Well, too late now, but I used to do concrete work a looong time ago. I don't recall the exact process, but it involved cheesecloth on top. I think we put the cheesecloth on and then Bull float the surface bringing water above the cheesecloth. Next day, pull the cheesecloth off, rinse the surface, and Wah-La, exposed aggregate.
Wow, that shower looks so cool! So handy to the Solar Shed. The dudes are so big. The kitties are getting more involved. Cloud is so laid back. So sad to see the custom tamper break! I hope you know someone that can weld that back on for you! Crazy looking bugs! The mortar sand looks really good! Nice, exposed aggregate and glass beads! I think that will be beautiful! I love the exposed aggregate because that will make it less slippery. The other tamper broke? Crazy! I like the idea of being able to look over the wall at the view! Ashley thanks for your sacrifice of cutting at lot of bottles! I love those blue bottles! The cat jumping up behind you was hilarious! Looks like a great workshop! Wow, Jax balancing that hammer was epic! Looks like a new tamper. Love all the bottle bricks! Wow, cutting even more bottles! Don't let the hornets make a hive in your glass bottle wall! Maybe some benches around? It sure looks wonderful. Pretty rainbow! I'm glad you put the pop up up! The empty moving gloves was cute. Nice top shaping you did Ashley! Wow, it looks like the stucco goes on fast! It's getting so smooth! That is wonderful that the wire brush on the drill is working to clean the bottles off. I guess 890 bottles! So wonderful guys! A propane water heater! I like the idea of the DD batteries to run the water heater. The cactus planted outside looks great! That's a great rain water shower head! I think it was well worth the money. A couple solar lights? You could take a shower in the darkness?
This is my first time finding you guys. I like what you are doing. I really hope your kiddos appreciate what they are learning. These are skills that could help them in the future.
My first time here! Just wanted to say i enjoyed watching you & the beautiful fam come together to build! Your video took me out of my "artist block" 🙌🏾 i made some resin coasters after feeling inspired 😎 thank u💙
I love when family comes together to make this happen. It looks beautiful, and honestly, it was sooo soothing to watch your video. Thank you for sharing. What area of the country, do you live in, may I ask?
So creative and original great videography all flows quite well have learned quite a bit about what to do and not do when using this process much appreciate the process…thank you for sharing stay blessed
Watching your content gives me the hope to be able to do something similar soon. Tired of traditional housing and all the waste that comes with it... I feel some hyperadobe bags are in my future...might start with building a shed first as practice.
Looks Great! Why put the equipment on the inside, perhaps a prebuilt natural nook for it outside to shelter it from the elements would have been more ideal? Also could you have used cobb as a filler and then cover it with mortar to save money?
Did you leave some inspector paw prints in the stucco? The cats and muddy doddles love to help when they can. Lol Did you take inspiration from my Little Homestead ? Nice reminder of Gary. It look’s awesome. Bet it felt nice the first time.❤
Wondering why you didn't do solar water heater. They are really simple to build. And it looks like where you are even on cloudy days it would make more than you need. Maybe the propane as a backup but I am guessing the house will have one also.
Hi, A couple of things. 1) At the commencement of your outhouse build I advocated for the inclusion of semi-outdoor showers, wooden additions under the same roof. I guess this build answers why you rejected that idea. 2) I am a bit surprised at the location. I thought you might place the shower closer to the airstream. Enjoy!
It's near the shed because of proximity to the water tank, berm and swale for drainage, and a powered pump house. None of the other locations fit that bill.
2300 bottles, this Is interesting built, You do know that you can add into like straw, fiber glass, glass strands, Is carbon fiber or anything else you choose in through the cement mix. You can also thin out with sand, clay, or anything that want to use. On the walls you probably would have been better off using Brick mortar fast drying lime mix. This is a cross between the old fashioned lime mix and the new brick mix. I would have 2 to 4 inch cheap chicken wire strips And weaved that in mittle and down and crossways for strength.
I love watching your videos. You do a great job. I would love to be in one of your workshops, but I live in Ohio. I am guessing that there are 1216 bottles in your shower build. The shower looks great. Keep up the good work.
Shower is looking great. Have you tried using an icing type bag to squeeze in the mortar around those bottles? I just thought about that when I was watching y’all smooching in the mortar around the bottles. It might work but just wondering😘‼️ Blessing y’all ❤️
Beautiful build. Just wondering why the water heater is inside the shower and not in the pump house where it seems more logical? You could have shortened all the hoses and cleaned up the inside of the shower by moving all the hoses and wires to the pump house and simply sending the final shower hose through the wall to connect to the heater in the pump house. This is perhaps your biggest mistake. Not spending too much on mortar
Since it's a propane heater it has to be vented, and this particular model can't be mounted inside. It also has all the controls on the front which you need access to while in the shower to adjust flow/temperature, etc...
Because all the controls are on this particular model. You can adjust propane amount, water flow, temp, etc... (and you need to frequently change it depending on the weather outside.)
A great little project super aesthetic. Love those dogs, I am not a cat fan - but they also look happy and loved. Do you have any Raptor, Coyote and other wildlife in the area that might prey on the cats?
Oh, nooo! That’s so much nicer than our camp shower! 🤔 720 bottles and two muddy doodles…
The Muddy Doodles -
isn't that a band
I once saw in the PNW?!
Great use on the glass bottles, how pretty. You all ate a hard-working family. Love your show.
What a fantastic variation from your normal videos. Showing the result at the start and not letting us wait for weeks (or months). Much appreciated. And congratulations on your new shower. 804 bottles. Cheers.
The care you take on the finish of all your buildings leads me to have confidence that your house will be amazing.

1040 bottles! Whatever the number, you guys rock the hard work! I love the shape and look of the outdoor shower! Outdoor showers are the best!
Love the shape of the outdoor shower the light coming through the glass is delightful,! I'm guessing 1295 bottles. So great to see everyone pitching in together. Love your sunsets😃
You guys are an inspiration to not only myself but the world as a whole and thank you for the opportunity to learn an amazing skill.
So awesome to see how your children are right in there with you and how they have matured from when you first landed in Cochise!
I love love it ....
Great Job ....
Many Blessings To You Guys 🙏 Thank you for sharing 😘😍🥰🤩
E bellissimo fare la doccia e guardare orizzonte , meraviglioso ragazzi. Siete migliori.

Love seeing how nicely your sheds are standing up to the test of time. Oh, and that shower looks magical!

5 beautiful humans. Salute!
So AMAZING.. Your ALL so amazing.. This is one of my favorite watches. This outdoor shower is beautiful.. And I bet you all love it too❤
Beautiful! Wonderful! Outstanding! Fabulous! Superb!
Amazing project!
It’s gotta be cool showering outside.
I would say 386 bottles.
You did a really nice job on the music too. ❤
I love the look of the bottles. Gives it wonderful character. Great Job!
Wow you both are so talented & very creative excellent work ❤
That's why I recommended the Lime mortar lime with fifty percent standard mortax mix. It'll bind with anything.
Brilliant video, very useful information on the construction process!
BRAVO! You guys are so inspirational and fun to watch! What a Beautiful project and work of art you all created🙏🏽💝👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Thank you👍🏽
THAT IS BEAUTIFUL!!! You guys are so hard working and so creative
Man I wish my property had dirt like that
Love Ada's hair cut....so cute on her😊
My first time here! Just wanted to say i enjoyed watching you & the beautiful fam come together to build! Your video took me out of my "artist block" 🙌🏾 i made some resin coasters after feeling inspired 😎 thank u💙
Awesome! Thank you!
You do huge beautiful work. You’re true artists with your designs. I think your team needs a psychological refresh.
2760 bottles. Beautiful shower. I love the outdoors.
That build is magical, and the view is epic, rock on!
Love this shower and family working together. Guessing 860 bottles
I love when family comes together to make this happen. It looks beautiful, and honestly, it was sooo soothing to watch your video. Thank you for sharing. What area of the country, do you live in, may I ask?
SE Arizona
@TinyShinyHome Awwww, me too but SouthWest AZ
What a great project!!! Sorry you were stung. Good job today. I hope Bea will return soon.
Omg that is soo pretty!
I've been watching "my little homestead" do this for years. Very interesting.
Ada has shorn her dreads, new season. Looks great. 748 bottles. I used to have an outdoor shower, it’s the best until it snows.
So creative and original great videography all flows quite well have learned quite a bit about what to do and not do when using this process much appreciate the process…thank you for sharing stay blessed
1,111 bottles! And it's quite beautiful!✨
By the you and your family make my day Ashley is hilarious and Jonathan you crack me up
Beautiful job!
Lots of hard word however you have a great team 🤭 and great attitude 👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Watching your content gives me the hope to be able to do something similar soon. Tired of traditional housing and all the waste that comes with it... I feel some hyperadobe bags are in my future...might start with building a shed first as practice.

If you look at the unit, it has control knobs on the front that need to be accessible while showering. Like we said, the mortar was an experiment.
You're solving the housing situation 😅
If you cover the fresh concrete with sugar you can wash the topcoat off the next day
Golden ratio, the power of 3,6,9. N. Tesla stuff, fun.
About the outdoor shower, I want.
Great music and slow mo
Watched this with my best friend and we are thinking about it.
You guys rock!!
Wonderful design... i love it.
What a way to recycle and use glass bottles as bricks!!
901 bottles. Looks awesome. ❤ from Tennessee!!!
Awesome job ❤❤❤
I love your daughter's haircut!❤
Long ago, our kids dubbed glass beads "Magic pebbles". Now I want some in my own shower!
It's beautiful, nice work!
I think you used 671 bottles for your AWSOME shower!!
I love you guys! I'm guessing 984 bottles.
Johnathan, Nice video. I’d think twice about leaving a hose pressurized continuously. Even in TX that eventually results in leaks. Good luck.
Did you leave some inspector paw prints in the stucco? The cats and muddy doddles love to help when they can. Lol Did you take inspiration from my Little Homestead ? Nice reminder of Gary. It look’s awesome. Bet it felt nice the first time.❤
1050 glass bottles. Looks beautiful!
1098 bottles is my guess. I need to hire you and your kids to help me build anything!
Wondering why you didn't do solar water heater. They are really simple to build. And it looks like where you are even on cloudy days it would make more than you need. Maybe the propane as a backup but I am guessing the house will have one also.
We have too many people, but they’re cool for one or two
This is nice.

Can you bye the bags/ sacks in New Zealand. Look so good
Been meaning to ask..I have not watched for a while. Are the kids home schooling...love your buildings nice to see ...thank you darlings...😊
Yes we've always homeschooled
2300 bottles, this Is interesting built, You do know that you can add into like straw, fiber glass, glass strands, Is carbon fiber or anything else you choose in through the cement mix. You can also thin out with sand, clay, or anything that want to use.

yeah, not really. cement and clay don't play well together :)
Ada...cute hair cut
So lovely!
I love the music in your vids!! Who picks them?
Thanks! Ashley and I both do.
I think your shower is beautiful and 1680 bottles were used in this build!!
I think there are 894 bottles. It’s beautiful!!
@everyone I was told I guessed correctly and was asked to send $ to ship prize. Anyone else get told this?!
Four dogs play together but the also just like to be near you all.
I love watching your videos. You do a great job. I would love to be in one of your workshops, but I live in Ohio. I am guessing that there are 1216 bottles in your shower build. The shower looks great. Keep up the good work.
we've had people fly in from Washington DC as well as Washington state. Just come on the next one;)
That us cool my friends.
Shower is looking great. Have you tried using an icing type bag to squeeze in the mortar around those bottles? I just thought about that when I was watching y’all smooching in the mortar around the bottles. It might work but just wondering😘‼️ Blessing y’all ❤️
I really wanted to see the floor
Awesome job🦋🎈
Beautiful build. Just wondering why the water heater is inside the shower and not in the pump house where it seems more logical? Venting is simple.
Wouldn't the motor and stucco crack due to settlement of the bags?
Once tamped into place we haven't really noticed any "settling." They're like rocks when finished.
awesome
972 bottles on the wall 🎉
That turned out amazing! Great job. 😊
I’ll guess 1023 😊
Creative and beautiful! 985🎉
Please advise on the “right” shampoos
Just look into biodegradable shampoos 👍🏼
I've seen bottles used before but do they add anything in terms of structure or is it mainly recycling?
we use them mostly because we love the way the light shines through. and we're keeping them out of the land fill. win win
848 bottles ❤
I fell like there were around 1,102 bottles 😊
744!
Just a question? Why did you hang the water heater inside the shower instead of on the back wall?
Because all the controls are on this particular model. You can adjust propane amount, water flow, temp, etc... (and you need to frequently change it depending on the weather outside.)
Beautiful! But looks like 1002 bottles used!
A great little project super aesthetic. Love those dogs, I am not a cat fan - but they also look happy and loved. Do you have any Raptor, Coyote and other wildlife in the area that might prey on the cats?
