It has been so nice to see more of Rebecca on this video. You have such a beautiful family and I am so overjoyed for you all to get into your remodel! It could not be for a more deserving family. God Bless
It’s garden time that’s when she shines ✨ ☀️ 🌞
Covered today at Rhodes farm school: Problem solving, team work, compromise, humility, trust, creativity, imagination, responsibility, and respect. ❤ Thanks for being amazing!
In my many decades of experience, one great lesson I have cherished is, failures are stepping stones to big accomplishments.
I like how Justin is flexing and allowing the boys to share in the glory and the failures of working their homestead.
These kids, and all those like them, give me a better feeling for the future.
In 15 years of new chicks we have never dipped beaks and have never lost a chick.
Congratulations, Justin, for having 1.08 million subscribers! 😊
great education, ty
The power of life and death is in the tongue. I LOVE how Rebecca is always speaking life over herself and the family instead of constantly talking about how sick she is or may be. She doesn't own her illnesses and doesn't force her children to own theirs either. You are a good mom Rebecca and others could really learn from your approach for sure.
Best part of video was Mrs Rhodes was in greenhouse. So calm and informative. Thank you
Great progress everywhere; thanks for sharing! Those cabinets are so beautiful & they’ll be so useful with drawers! Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦
Cultured butter is my favorite. When I make it I love to lick my fingers off afterwards.
Made me laugh, ‘it would better if they were baby horses’. Of course, Lilly, of course.
Okra is dredged in corn meal and fried in a skillet. It is awesome. You can even add them to black-eyed peas and snaps. Have you ever tried pickled okra? There is a company called Wicked Pickled Okra You might be able to find a copy cat. Okra grows tall and has pretty light yellow flowers with ruby throats.
I loved the Carl the camel segment . 😂
10:42 "they'd be better if they were baby horses!" ADORABLE! LOL!
Becca, thank you so much for blessing us with more of yourself in the vlog. Been a long time fan of the family and have always hoped to see this. You have knowledge I want to learn. So again thank you.
Rebecca, everything looks beautiful no matter what you call it. Lol excited to see the garden in full swing 💚
Ya must be so happy they riding again haha
I was just thinking about the house from dawn yesterday, I couldn't quite remember where I'd seen the house or the couple but could remember the lil vid I watched. I think I'll be joining abundance+ very soon xx
Thank you for raising men ❤❤❤
We really do need more real men in this world. If your boys aren't afraid to get back on that bike, then let them. Jonah's accident was tragic and very scary, so I give you credit for letting them get back on the bike instead of taking it away from them. Let's just pray they will be safe and more careful. In my opion, this is great parenting (a very hard choice to make) ❤❤❤
Nope I disagree, that's bad parenting imo no offense, I mean my parents are out of town now in France, and even though I have my license they're not letting me drive while they're out of town for my safety, i don't like it but I respect them for doing it for my safety, since i've had my license for 6 months and am 26 also, and plus Justin let Jonah drive the pickup with a trailer attached to it, and he doesn't even have his drivers license but permit, that's not allowed, he could lose his permit for that i'm sure 😳🤥 it's like his parents haven't learned their lesson or are NOT taking responsibility seriously,🙄🙁, before he can ride the dirt bike again he should prove to them he's gonna be more careful, even my dad agrees that isn't smart
@@Tyler-cn2hjYou are entitled to your opinion. I have a suspicion that you might feel differently later on when you are a parent....I am 61 and had all sorts of opinions about raising children before I had them, after having them my opinions changed and changed again with each child because I adjusted my parenting to each child's personality. There are some tried and true constants but one size fits all is not a great way to develop a child into an awesome adult.
@@Tyler-cn2hj that sounds like your parents are a little overprotective... you're an adult with a full license and they won't let you drive just because they're not around? I mean, I moved to another country and took my car at 19!
You are the weakest link! Omg
I completely agree parenting isn't one size fits all, And growing up around tractors, skid steers, animals, and crashing give you a certain life saving sense of respect which keeps you humble and alive
So sad to see all the dead chicks you got. Poor babies. Enjoy all the ones you received that are alive and well (and hungry).
We need men in the world! YES!
Loved having Rebecca’s POV in this one!
❤❤❤❤❤
I’m always so happy when we get to see Rebecca’s perspective!
One time the Post Office put the baby chicks in the cold part of the plane. McMurray Hatchery replaced them.
That was easy..❤
Something you don't always hear on the homestead
So good to see more of Rebecca, and in her happy place to boot!
I grew up on salty sour butter when the only small town dairy available had Jersey milk which was ⅓ cream. My mom ladled off much of the cream, which us kids shook up in a ½ quart jar once slightly sour. Loved that buttermilk too!
Thanks Rebecca. I need to concentrate flowers when I plant my spring garden. This years been harder than the past
Love seeing rebecca in the garden ❤
Will the beautiful one being showing us how she will be preserving/canning all those veggies for the year? Love her showing us all of the food she is growing! thank you! #motivation
The lemon balm will take over the whole bed.
Yes it will and quickly
You guys say that like it’s a bad thing. lol.
You'll have to be my nephew vs Uncle. You can call me Auntie, all my adult children's friends do. 😂
Blessings! I hope Henry feels well by morning!
Love your greenhouse..veggies looking beautiful..
I think your children are brilliant and have great work ethics ! Wished more parents step up and get them outdoors and given more responsibility in their lives.Hard work is good , and pulling together to a common good is wonderful to see !
Yes! We need men. So proud of the two I've raised. You will be proud also. ❤
Greg Judy shows how to paddock sheep using the strand method
Please plant some Jimmy Nardello peppers. They are the best. Also pineapple tomatoes. Omg you will love them. God bless you all and ☦️ many prayers 🙏🏻 Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister ☦️lovin your new homme. Awesome choice on the kitchen cabinet color & bathroom cabinets . You have excellent taste🙏🏻 wow 👌 👏
Hello from Miami🙋🏻♀️🐣🏝☀️🌻Thank you for all your amazing content and inspiring me to start my mini suburban homestead🙏🏼
Look in many areas for advice!! Most especially when it comes to starting seed and gardening!
Rebekah. Outrageous garden
Oh no, the chicks have been at the post office an extra day! C-monsters galore! And three goslings! I'm glad that all the chicks and goslings look no worse for wear! Those goslings are great! I loved how they started eating the grass right away. They are with chicks so they should get used to them and hopefully want to protect them when they get bigger and become guardian geese. Your kids seem to like taking care of them. I hope Henry gets over his bug soon! Nice to see Rebekah and Annie in the happy place. Thanks for making "DAWN" and showing it! I'm glad Henry got such a big nap. Rebekah's dinner sounds wonderful. I'm glad to see Jonah back on the dirt bike. Trying sour cream. Huh. Yum, Brazilian cheese bread! Red lentil noodles. Ground pork seasoned Italian style. Thanks for this video Rhodes family!
That’s was a great learning moment with the dirt bike ✅✅
I hope Jonah is careful. He does not need another hip replacement any time soon.
Love that the beautiful one was vlogging
I wish all your videos were this long. Great entertainment.
Our Floret seedlings are doing great! Super excited to get them in the ground on June 1!
The artichoke should have a patch like asparagus, it has an area and comes back each year(plant a group) They will grow babies and increase in numbers, they can get 5 foot tall and 3 feet wide each and are spicky. They are also early spring food.
I feel like you need to get the chickens somewhere else for the winter if you want to stop using the supermarket, the poly tunnel will be vital in extending your growing season.
I need to get equipment to harvest C-monsters before I get them. I won't order as many as you do because I am the only one doing the work. If I don't do it, it doesn't get done.
Hello from Maryland. Rebecca I love all your little seedlings. 🌱 canny wait for the garden tour.
Biggest QUESTION!!!!! Does you mini chick shaw work for housing chickens in the winter?
No! Big mistake with motor bikes! Wait till they’re older. Poor Henry. Hopes he gets better. Love the chicks!
Kids 16. How long is he to wait?
@@rbud57 yeah no clue. If a child get hurt playing baseball and ends up with screws in his ankle from sliding into second base, should he quit baseball? Life’s a lesson. He learned not to whisky throttle on a turn. The hard way.
I think just setting the MUST. Must have water, must have feed must be safe must etc. and then letting the boys. figure it out as a good idea. And they must, “suffer(?)” or enjoy the consequences.
Where was this Happy Place Greenhouse when you all forgot to water your seedlings for several days?
Rebecca said you starting some okra.
I planted some. They were great. The flower on the okra is beautiful.
Surely they need water sooner than food! 🫤
I hope you do a before and after walk through for your homestead dream house only been subscribed for over half a year now
I’d love to hear how to move ducks daily! Is it the same as chickens? Because man moving that pond daily sounds so daunting! But I’d love to give them fresh grass despite the major hawk and raccoon pressure we have here in east texas
Yea to all of it!!! ty..xoxo ❤
Why don't you get one of those nice Premier One Plastic Red Hanging Heat Lamps. They seem safer less risk for burning your house down. If I had a house as nice as yours above and your luck I would call Premier One TODAY and say hook me up! PLEASE!
My favorite people ❤
REBEKAH. Okra is so good whole, tossed in light oil, seasoned and roasted. Yum yum.
Strip grazing with permanent 3 lines is incredibly easier!! Watch Just a few acres farm. He has it down to a science. No moving fences, no moving water and A LOT less of all this nonsense!!! He's a pro at raising chickens too!
Pete is rad!!
@fairviewhomestead He is! He knows his stuff, too! I appreciate vlogers who know what they're talking about before they start claiming to be an expert in the field and who show receipts too!
Enjoyed the longer video.
Cousins yes !!! love this so fun !!!
Jonah's back on a trail bike after needing a hip replacement?
did you say those pots were from silly seeds?
Yes Glen! ‘cept is spelled sili
like silicone
hth
27:50 so many parents need to hear this right now in the Western World!
Oh My Goodness! ❤️👌🏻
Rebecca, try Leeks & Kohlrabi. Both great vegetables.
I love everything about your vlog, but Henry’s clear crisp answers and his “Yes!!!..”🧡
Hi.... Justin Rhodes and Rebecca thanks you for showing your video homestead chicken duck goose farmer garden 🐔🐓🐣🐤🍗🦆🐶🐕🦮🐈🐑🐄🐖🐷🐝 BYE 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
I like to puke. Bwaaa Glad it made you feel better Henry.
Would make a great golf course. lol
You need to try American Bresse . I think they're the best dual purpose.Birds there is great foragers. There's a couple of North recreational Homestead has a great genetic line.
Ever had ab experience with mites?? Chicks?
That is a lot of chicks.
If you add some wine to your tomato sauce, it will “open” flavonids and intensify the flavor.
When are you going to make sauerkraut--or did you?
Okra is great to grow. It loves heat and almost nothing will eat it except humans.
Gross! Omg I hate picking Okra. I cringe thinking about picking them 😬
Love y’all. But sell the bike!!!!!!!
Can we get the recipe for the cheese bread?
Miizuna can be used for stir fry and has slight horse radish taste. I grew it as an ornamental
Hello 👋 my framily much love to y'all 👍👊💪🤞💜🇺🇲🙏
Amazing!
I got sick on Monday. Something is going around.
Tell is more about the seeds!
🙏🙏❤❤🙌🙌
Okra was new to me when i moved to the south. To this day i dislike steamed or boiled okra! BUT 1/2 inch cubes coated in flour/cornmeal n fried theses nothing like it. (Salted when hot) is also great with cubes in stewes!
My father exported okra to the USA, my mom used to cooked it with pork meat or stuffed with cheese or ground beef since we could pick directly from the fields the larger ones
For guard geese don't they have to be raised without another guard goose or else they will know they are not chickens?
I really enjoyed watching the less manic format! Justin and Rebecca, you're doing an amazing job persevering through all of these challenges.
I have wondered what happens to live animals when the package gets lost in the mail… This has to be a thing… I sell jewelry on the Internet and over the years a couple packages have been lost so I just wonder
They get sent to kfc
Henry has a sweet personality 😊
Someone has been reading comments?
Yes I love it longer video..!! 🎉🎉
Fried okra is so good! Bread it with corn meal and salt-pepper and fry it! I can’t eat it boiled as it is slimy and snotty looking and doesn’t taste good to me!
I plant okra mostly for the beautiful flowers but I do eat the fruit as well 😆
back on the motor-bike i see -i hope you are more cautious this time around,STAY SAFE.i hope you are very very careful if NOT ,WELL YOU KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN,GOOD LUCK
You saw something, but you weren't listening
@@wesrundle6326 WHAT DID I MISS?
Justin lose that old Blue blood cap boy!!!!!👿👿👿👿👿👿
Boys, 15, 16, 17, 18 years old are growing so fast, they need extra sleep
Guard geese tried to mate with chickens!?!?
