Excellent work commander Jackson and everyone in your garrison! We are from Brazil, at the port of Itaquí, monitoring its port operations and their importance for economic development.
that wheelhouse looks like it would take a lot of effort to keep clean with all that wood trim. saw some harbor pilots transported by helicopter, probably columbia oregon. that's expensive. your the only tug i've seen doing so. makes sense, save a couple of boat trips.
Hey now! Thank you! We don’t really do too many cruise ships. They have big thrusters and dock and sail themselves. Every now and then when it’s really windy we will help one. Thanks for watching 🤙
Do you think you could tell us { after the pilot gives a command } what you are going to do, its hard to see what the ship is doing seeming you are bang up against it,again thanksagain for the short video, dig, dig, hint ,hint jk mate
@@tugboatwilly843 Great stuff, then all we gotta do is work on chuckals to get an engine room tour with the z drives. I have an older brother who we call chuckals, so i have a pretty good idea haw chuck is.
ive never really thought about it how do containerships like load an unload? do they unload some, then load some like ping ponging from port to port or do they stay at one port unload all then get reloaded an sent off to their destination port unload all an reload?
@@tugboatwilly843 where are they located I work on an offshore tug with two z drives but we have a main in the center I just wanted to know if they are set up like where they are normally put or in a different configuration with the tight maneuverability that you do
Gave it a thumbs up cause I like your videos but for me it wasn't your best. Not as much explanation of what was going on kinda left us in the dark on a lot of it. Sorry, Capt.
Great job Willy, shout out from the Ocean-less Mid West! ( North Dakota)
Hey now! Much appreciated 🤙

Do you ever work cruise ships? Just curious as I’m an avid cruiser. I stumbled upon your videos and have been enjoying them.

Are you always on the same boat, or is it just a random assignment?
Hey Now! Same boat same crew unless you work over then no telling where they might put you. Thanks for watching 🤙
Did I hear you say "Port Elizabeth"? Where is that Willy? is it USA based?
Hey now! New York/New Jersey Harbor
@@tugboatwilly843 Ah sweet. Reason I ask is because I'm from a city called......Port Elizabeth, in Sunny South Africa.

You got hired to drop off the pilot. What was your assignment from that point? I only had time to watch the first 15 minutes.
Hey now! I follow the ship in then helped it around the turn and to the dock. Thanks for watching 🤙

That’s pretty much exactly how it works in a nut shell. Thanks for watching 🤙
Is that some sort of eisenglass/vinyl on the inside of your window panels?
Hey now! Yes they are big tinted shades that we can pull down. Thanks for watching 🤙
So how are your z drive pods configured if I may ask?
Like what would you like to know? Where they are or what they do? Thanks for watching!
