Much appreciated! I was just looking into those cameras. The vibration up there might not be great but I’m going to give it a try. Thanks for watching 🤙
That was different. Capt, your videos get better with each one. If you ever do multiple cameras you should put a picture-in-picture shot of you nav screen. Be nice to see how you're moving around. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! I love seeing what you are doing with both hands. I intend to build a model of a z-drive tug, and am very curious to see how the real ones are operated. And, having been on the coast and in and out of boats for over 40 years, watching you maneuver a tractor tug is just so cool!
That must have been a tougher than usual job. The pilot seemed a bit more excited than it sounds usually. He also seemed to issue a lot of orders that he cancelled before you even had a chance to position. I assume from that, it was very tight and hard to get the ship maneuvered. Every second was great to watch. Thanks!
Awesome job man, lots of working the line on that one. I was a little nervous when you kept having to walk her toward the end of the video to anticipate a push when the line kept pulling you away when you had to back 🤣
Hey now! Yes sir it was a lot of little moves on that one. It was tight on the bow and at the end it was also tight on the stern. Thanks for watching bro 🤙
Hey, I think I’ve invented a few new drinking games. 1. The player has to take a drink each time you touch the microphone. 2. If the mic is swinging back and forth, you have to chug a beer before you stop it. 3. Shot of whisky each time you lock the winch. This could also be extract points to the first two. I have an idea for one for each time you change the throttle, but it needs some work. Just something to think about. 😂. (Of course this is only for those of us ashore, not standing watch or maneuvering :) )
Why is the ship being pulled going backwards? Very curious person 😅 Must have been a tough day with all those comands on moving that ship. Are dead ships usually harder to work with?
What's the phrasing for when you can't immediately execute an order for some reason? "Unable"? I really like the communications in your job. Very clear, no bullshit, just order, readback, yes sir, and save the chatting for the office. I need some people at my work to go to the pub more often so they can shut the heck up at work haha
New now! Much appreciated! If it’s going to take me a minute I just say that’s it’s going to be a sec just so he knows. Yeah we don’t like to bullshit on the radio. Thanks for watching 🤙
i realy like your videos. I think you should have a headset mic for the radio with a ptt button near you right hand controller, your current mic is going to give you a black eye if you are not careful
Is your tugboat considered the occasion going? River push tugboat? Do you ever push a barge for the oil and gas industry? Is it only assisting with barges/ships with containers? Is your tugboat the twin-screw or twin-jet system to get around? When you retire from tug boating are you going to buy one to live in for the rest of your life if so I would like to do that myself. Sincerely! R.S.V.
This tug is for ship docking but it can go in the ocean. We do not move barges but I guess we could if needed. It mostly does ship assist. Thanks for watching 🤙
And a view of Manhattan Skyline from the water ,now I can say I've seen it ,but not been there ,no need to be on a cruise ship ,just tag along with Willy
He has a camera system on the screen on his left side that has many different angles of the entire tug including inside the engine room. He explains it in one of his boat tour videos. Hope that helps!
Would love to see a camera angle from center mast. Like a insta 360 camera mounted up high. With narration. Love the channel! 🤙
Much appreciated! I was just looking into those cameras. The vibration up there might not be great but I’m going to give it a try. Thanks for watching 🤙
I have a RAM X Mount I put on the center glass at the top and then I do a .5 zoom and it gives you a really great view
Very cool vid. Thanks for the camera angle to allow is to see your left hand. I’m always amazed at how agile the tug is.
Much appreciated! Thanks for watching 🤙

Hey now! Thanks Capt! I’m learning how to do all of than now. Your support is much appreciated 🫡

Much appreciated!! We have a Captain here that makes model ones. It’s really cool! Thanks for watching 🤙

Hey now! Much appreciated! Definitely a little more small movements putting one into the dry dock. Thanks for watching 🤙
Great job and vid… keep em coming!! One of the more busy ones you’ve done, obviously more love putting in dry dock than yank em out.. 💪💪
Hey now! Much appreciated! Yes sir definitely some more love putting one in. Thanks for watching 🫡
Hey now !!!
That laugh is infectious 😅
Thanks for the vid. Keep em coming
Hey Now!! Much appreciated!! Thanks for your support 🤙
Nice job by all. Dead ship moves are always character building.
That they are! Thanks for watching 🤙

You got us laughing hard on here! Thanks for watching!! You might not make it till the end of a dry dock job playing those games tho 😆
@@tugboatwilly843 i might not make it, but I’m going to give it the old college try.
nice to see some crew interactions on top of the tug operations
Much appreciated 🤙
@@tugboatwilly843 they guy in the yellow shirt at the beginning was funny as hell!...lol....he took off like a gunshot!
🤣😂🤣 we all laugh about that hard!! That’s my mate Ian. He a great dude!!
Love the videos! Greetings from Spain!
Hey now! Much appreciated! Greetings from NYC 🤙
I’m surprised you don’t have buttons on your controls for winch and radio etc so you can stay hands on all the time that mic would drive me nuts 😂
Hey now! Thanks for watching! I know it sounds crazy but I actually prefer the mic 🤙
Why is the ship being pulled going backwards? Very curious person 😅 Must have been a tough day with all those comands on moving that ship. Are dead ships usually harder to work with?
Hey now! Pulling it backwards because the ship did not have power. It was going into dry dock for repairs.

Well done great coordination amongst you.
Much appreciated 🤙
Great video! Keep up the good work! Might want to invest in a Rode wireless lapel microphone. It would be great to everything you said :)
Sailing the Car Ship video I’m wearing a mic. It takes away from all the other sounds of the boat but let me know if you like it. Thanks for watching!
must have been tough to be a tug Captain in the days before rotational thrusters, not that it's easy now, just easier.
You can definitely get more out of the boat and put it in better position. Thanks for watching 🤙
They was killing me out there with that slow bell 😪 from vts
Right! Just waiting on the weather. Thanks for watching 🤙
Question, for radio work, why not a headset thing ?
great videos btw :)
Much appreciated! I actually prefer the mic. I believe most of us do out here. Thanks for watching!

The ship you are towing broke free from it's moorings in 1996 and collided with a nuclear submarine and a destroyer. USS Tucson and USS Deyo.
Wow! Thanks for sharing that and thanks for watching 🫡
How do you see behind you when you're pulling like that?
I’ve got a camera just off my left side. Also Carlos is the man!! Thanks for watching 🤙
Are you using day shapes to indicate towing or lights?
Hey now! On that one we used lights. Thanks for watching!
Hi from the uk question for you how do you think tgat baltimore incident will effect shipping now?
I think that the main thing will be longer escort times. Greetings from NYC. Thanks for watching 🤙
Bad glare on the camera angle, but I loved the video.
Thanks for watching 🤙
Hey now 😎 Bro, I'm putting in a request for you and your crew to ramrod the Dahli move. 🙏💪🏁🏆😎
Hey Now!! We ready 💯🫡 Thanks for watching as always!
Might need to mention to old mate he doesn’t need to yell in the radio
Are you ever worried to spill your coffee or water onto the console?
Not really. It’s got a lid on it tho. You really have to be trying to spill it. Thanks for watching 🤙
Willy. What big bridge is that over to your left? Thanks for the great video.
Hey now! That’s the Narrows or the VZ. Thanks as always Sir! 🫡
And a view of Manhattan Skyline from the water ,now I can say I've seen it ,but not been there ,no need to be on a cruise ship ,just tag along with Willy
Hell yeah! Glad that I can help 🤙
Nice video
Much appreciated 🤙
Teach one of ABs to fly a drone! 😂
🤙
On jobs like this wouldn't it help to have a rear facing camera?
He has a camera system on the screen on his left side that has many different angles of the entire tug including inside the engine room. He explains it in one of his boat tour videos. Hope that helps!
Thank you very much! That’s why I keep looking to my left at the camera. Also Carlos is extremely helpful! 🤙
🔥 🔥🔥🤟
💯👊🫡
Do you ever do barge moves?
Hey now! Not on this boat but we do have quite a few boats that do. Thanks for watching 🤙
Busy
We do stay busy! Thanks for watching 🤙
