I can not believe how easy I get mesmerized watching you. I agree with everyone that says "You make me want to be a Tug Captain". You make it look so fun and I envy your talent.
Love your videos man. I really like when you narrate what’s going on. I know you need to be super focused so I appreciate that you’re able to describe what’s going on! Keep it up!
Thanks for bringing us along for the ride, Captain. Always was curious how these machines worked and your explanation and narration are super interesting and informative.
I've gotta say, I've watched about 10-15 videos now and every single time I watch one it makes me wanna pack up and move somewhere i can become a tig boat captain. You make the job look so friggin fun. Keep up the awesome content! Thanks Capt.
Thank you for showing us what all goes in to operating a tugboat! I see them all the time down here in Savannah, Ga. Keep the videos coming brother! 🤟🔥🤙
I Like your videos and have a request if its possible. It would be really cool to see a camera angle that shows both asd controls when you are sidestepping. And like the other commit can't wait for multiple camera views.
Hey Capt Willy. Ok I have just a couple of questions. On that rope that you attached to that ship, what is the pulling strength? And if you push a big ship like that aren't you scared of putting a dent in the ship? This kind of stuff is really exciting to watch. Thanks Capt Willy
Hey now! I believe that line can hold up to 100+ tons before it gives away and we never pull over 90. Also as long as you don’t come hard into the ship you’ll have no problems. You do have to be really careful tho. Thanks for watching 🫡
Putting the effort, vids are great and coming at a fast pace!! Good job, keep it up!!! Over the course of an average week home many moves do you think you get called for??
This is awesome. Has anyone tried that Ship Simulator yet? I've been thinking about it. Looks like fun, but maybe a little slow-paced for my taste. BTW. I hope we hear more from pilot, Capt Josh.
I see you have different tug boat types in the fleet. A narrow and a bigger / wider looking unit. What’s the differences between these tugs and are they used for different applications ?
Great question and I might have to make a video on that but short form yes there is all different types of tugs and mostly all of ours can do ship docking
Are nautical miles another, way of saying how many feet something is? Dose nots mean miles per hour or what(=)'s what?. Anyway trying to understand what ship personnel are talking about when I am watching them on UA-cam. Sincerely! R.S.V.
It’s pretty heavy. It really all depends on how much of it you are dealing with. I would say just the eye of the line is probably 25lb. Thanks for watching 🤙
Great! Still digging the plan walk through at the start. I also really dig the observations, evaluation of the ship you’re about to work. Really cool.
Much appreciated! Thanks for for support 🤙
Your videos have improved so much. The detailed explanations help a lot. Can't wait to see you using multiple cameras. Good work.
Hey Now! Thanks Capt and I truly appreciate you! 🫡 Working on the cameras

@@tugboatwilly843 it’s a wonderful city next you are down I will buy you a round! Also give you tips on where to eat and drink.
Captain how about a tour of the tug please? I am from Cape Town South Africa, worked on Steam as well as Diesel tugs back in my younger years 😃
Hey Now! I got a video of the tug up! Thanks for watching 🤙 Greetings from IOP!
Love your content and really appreciate you actually reading and responding to the comments and questions 🚢
Hey now! Much appreciated 🤙
There is no sounding of a horn to alert Crews you are moving away from the Dock. Obviously you are very modern and powerful Tug/Tow Vessel.
We don’t sound the horn unless it’s foggy. We use the radio for pretty much everything. Thanks for watching 🤙
Congrats on the 10k subs. I really enjoy the content you are putting. Keep it up!
Hey Now! Thank you for that! Also thanks for watching 🤙
that tow rope takes some strain.
It does but it’s strong 💪 Thanks for watching!
Would be cool to get a outside the tug view. But still very cool
I’m working on more angles but thanks for watching 🤙

Doing my best to work on different views. Thanks so much for your support 🤙
Love the videos, I was just wondering what a tug caption makes per year
Much appreciated! It all varies on how much time you have and how much you work. Thanks for watching!
Nice video again.
Much appreciated 🫡

I’m make sure I get another one with the Capt! Thanks for watching 🤙
Cool video. Can one of your guys fly a drone and show us a broader view of what you're doing? Just a thought. Thanks for sharing.
Hey now! Thank you! I’m not sure how they gonna feel about me flying a drone around but maybe one day.
Another good quality video Willy! 🤙 Is that digital readout above your head the depth gauge?
Hey now! Thank you! Yes it is 🤙

Thankyou Carlos, i mean Willy, great vid mate. 2 questions, why does the pilot sometimes call you Ryan, and what is that bell i hear ?
Hey Now! The boat I’m on is the Brian and one bell is the same thing as 1/2 speed. Thanks for watching 🤙
@@tugboatwilly843 Thanks mate, keep them coming

Yes a nautical mile is distance. So if you are going 8kts you’ll go 8 nautical miles in an hour. Thanks for watching 🤙
