Gives me the same sense of duty and love for the job that I get when in an airplane. I love watching the technical aspects as well as the beauty and precision of your job, even though I don't know much about maritime operations. Keep em coming!
You need to transition from the red lights to green lights like we did in the military. Such a relief on the eyes, the green light is way easier on the eyes.

Ask Joe if he remembers “Belcher Towing” in the port of Miami in the 70s? I don’t remember what happened to them.🤷🏻♂️ I think Foss bought them, then Crowley. Not sure now. They used to work the passenger ships (the cargo docks weren’t there yet) also the fuel barges to places like Turkey Point power station in homestead. Had a friend the was a mate there when I left to NC for 27 years, lost track of everyone.

Does anyone know why the windows are at the angles they are? (working from the middle-bar at waist height, they angle outwards above and beneath it) - if anything i'd expect a more streamlined shape with the middle-bar being the most protruded part and the windows above and below angled in towards the room (inwards)... maybe something about sun light deflection/refraction?🤔
@@tugboatwilly843 ah, but not the "edge" of the stern, right? Like, not far back. Because the tug moves pretty well sideways for something that would have it's thrust vector so far back...
Right they are more on the stern but not right at it. They are also really big so when you turn them you are moving a lot of water which makes it easier to walk the boat sideways
You get my kids and nephews speech. Technology serves US... not the other way around. If skipping through portions of a video is too much for you, then how is it you get to dictate to somebody else to manage your time for you? He went through the trouble to capture and post his experience. Life is not a reality show fueling your distractions. Floating around on water moving these massive vessels around making it look boring to some... represents skill and confidence to the rest.

Do you have rubber under the water line so you can push on the bulbous bow? What do you have for engines and hp?

Who makes the final call if a sail needs to be cancelled due to bad weather?
