Awesome video thank you. It is a little strange walking all through engineering and never seeing another person. I guess that shows how well the ship is managed and maintained. Thanks again for the video.
Thank you! We take cleanliness seriously because it is also related to safety. Due to the size of the ship, we don't see everyone often. Even more for this vlog because this was filmed on a Sunday.
Thank you! It is a collaborative effort of the crew onboard. Cleanliness is directly related to safety. So we take it seriously. Subscribe and stay tuned for more vlogs like this!

Thank you! Subscribe and stay tuned for more mate! I will do more rare videos of actual running machineries of our ships. Soon I will be joining a ship powered by methanol.
In Maersk, we have a high standard of procedures for the upkeep of the ship. Most of these things relates directly to Safety which is our priority. That's why we take it seriously.
Can't believe I watched this entire video. I thought I'd be skimming through it fast but no - kept my full attention. As a computer engineer, I have taken detailed tours of two Carnival cruise ships and a fast ferry (hydroplane crossing Lake Michigan in USA). Thanks so much for covering so many aspects of the ship - absolutely loved it, and a rare find. Thanks for showing one of the ID plates of the 2Mw generators running off each propeller shaft. How do you and only one other person run an entire ship? (Chuckle). You made it to the Table Tennis quarter finals!
Wow! I am flattered to have a viewer like you! I actually am the one who organized the tournaments (also darts and foosball). During evenings, I call on the players and just have fun. I made it a month-long event. This is not usual, it is only so because I volunteered to make an effort. The ship is pretty lonely actually if you don't know how to have some fun. Anyway, if you're interested in walk tours like this, subscribe and stay tuned. I will be joining a new fleet which is an innovation of our company - a completely different design and engine systems, even among all companies.
Thank you indeed! Very interesting. It was amazing how clean the low engine rooms were. Also that there were no other people around. I would personally be too scared to go way down those small steps to the prop shaft area lol! But very interesting, something we would never get to see. Best wishes, Carol from Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you for watching! Cleanliness is closely related to safety which we always prioritize. This was filmed on a Sunday, most of engineers are resting but even on a weekday, I still seldom see everyone. More tours like this soon on our new innovative ships! Please subscribe and stay tuned.
You should do a breakdown of all the rooms Without sound and just narrate it. That would be found Very interesting And probably take several videos To accomplish. It would make for a good content.
Thank you for this upload. Your boss can be proud of you! Maybe some more shots of the sea around you will be appreciated. It will give everybody an idea how lonely and small you can be although its a large ship. Greetings from the Netherlands. Good luck! 🇳🇱
It really is huge. There are 11 ships with exact same design in this fleet. It demands more physical effort to work around the ship. I will be joining a more interesting new type of ship in the company soon fresh from the shipyard. Subscribe and stay tuned for more like this.
7:06 what trips me out is he’s walking about the same speed as the ship is going forward and it looks like he’s just walking in the same spot until reaching the rear
You must be an experienced Engineer :) I never knew about that sound. I'll be joining a newbuilding soon - a new kind of fleet with totally engine systems. Subscribe and stay tuned for more! Thanks!
This ship needs to be “virtualized” using a suitable game engine and used as an FPS environment. It looks like an FPS player’s most ambitious dream. It would yield many days worth of gameplay before you kill all monsters. Then all of a sudden you realize there is a long forgotten container in which way more monsters have been hatching! And the container is about to burst! That would be a great sequel to the game! The third episode would include a wormhole leading to one of the numerous sister ships where you could resupply and explore before returning to the fight. (Until a monster follows you through the wormhole and starts an infestation on the sister ship…) Episode 4 could involve a time-travel-capable wormhole and a spaceship version of this ship.
I was hoping you would show your fans the screen straight in front of your rudder indicators, and offset a little to the port of your telegraph and bow thruster telegraph (Engine Controls and bow thruster controls) The screen with the shape of the ship with the diagram of each main and bow thruster engine and the reference points the computer screen is using depending on what reference point the operator is using. That computer screen is the Dynamic Position computer, known as the DP. Which on that vessel you are required to hold an unlimited DP operators certificate. I am an unlimited DP operator as well as a Master Captain. I am well aware of your complete system and presentation, I just noticed you didn't say much of your electronic charts, and nothing of your DP system. I am also a GMDSS operator. As well as an unlimited Radar observer. I'm assuming you're a second deck officer, holding a Cert, of Competency as Officer of the watch. And Vietnamese? My wife is from Pampanga., Philippines. Best woman and prettiest I've ever met. She now has her naturalization Certificate, and is working for the US Post Office

Feels like some, how to say, a huge dystopian facility, running all alone. Once a while somone walks in and see how things are running. Shitload of crank valves all around and that someone need to make sense what is an action behind everyone of those.
I like cinima room and the huge engine room
You took us on a tour of the most wonderful, I wish you and all the crew, and your ship safety, a lover from Saudi Arabia

This was filmed on a Sunday. However, even on weekdays, it is true I seldom see my crewmates. The ship is too huge and our shedules also vary.
Looks like you are the only one onboard😂😂😂😂
There are several of us. This was filmed on a Sunday. Still, even on normal days, I seldom see everyone. I frequently eat alone as well. 😅
@@rodniemaluya7962 😂😂😂😂😂😂,
That must be very exhausting to not see anyone even on a vessel away from Family
The bow area needs the rust cleaned up
Indeed. That's one of the first places to develop rust because of exposure to sea sprays and salty wind.
