Honestly, I just wanna see this get remade on the Source Engine, but then have that remake get de-made on the Goldsrc engine, rinse and repeat so that the Half-Life modding community just subjected to a neverending loop of Half-Life getting remade and de-made

15:20 To be fair, the Demo of Portal 1 does the exact same thing. When I was a kid, I waited like half an hour for the next level to load, but it never did, because that loading screen was just the end of the Demo.

Enhanced HL1 in HL1 basically. Thus we have achieved Full-Life, with possibly Full Consequences™, too.
It's an interesting demake, but considering all the recent remakes and remasters in recent years, I can only feel fatigue from this mod. I believe the future lies in moving forward, and not in getting stuck in an endless cycle of perfecting the past, especially with lots of graphical enhancements out there already.

I've noticed one disturbing thing and I actually a bit confused by it. Seems like Mahogany degradates every deadwater vid and now he can't even hear enemies or throw grenades or doing other basic things with keyboard and mouse buttons... Poor Mahogany
He has neurological disorder, will die soon so sad :(
I saw Radiation Hazard's video, it's actually a good idea and thier execution is on point.
It's just the issue of the project's scope, but it's definitely doable.
14:59 I remember I once had a glitch when I played through HL1; when you enter the lab's lobby (the area before you go outside, where you find the big spinning cutty machine), I had the marines that spawn in there spawn in as friendly. Or at least, they weren't hostile. They'd aim at me, but they wouldn't fire, and they wouldn't fight back.

2:37 It is actually possible to make GoldSrc have ragdoll physics, there are some videos on Ytb showing GoldSrc's full capabilities and limits, and it's almost on Source levels of physics and stuff. But i'm guessing you'd need ALOT of work to have those features in just a mod. Depending on how much work the team is putting on the mod, i hope they actually do implement these features.
Maybe they attempted it in original half life but scrapped the idea based on performance concerns
@@Jack-vo7yf Funnily enough, yes, they did! But they cut out due to memory usage and limitations, Half-Life, like Unreal and Quake were quite heavy and high demanding games for it's time.

Also think about it: de-making Black Mesa is like translating an English words to multiple odd and exotic languages and then translating it back to english, so you get the completely different words in same language. So technically black mesa classic is just a "Napkin Story" among the Half-life mods...

The Devs released a mod on the workshop that adds back a bunch of the cut levels from on a rail, and without the rails damaging you the chapter becomes surprisingly fun
