Not enough people appreciate the HL2 OST. If you ever take a listen to "What Kind Of Hospital Is This", "Eon Trap", "Sector Sweep" or "Apprehension and Evasion" you'll hear some of the best videogame music ever.
There's also some REALLY good fan remixes by Morch Kovalski. Vandoorea has some good ones too, but I like his original half-life inspired album "Zero Order Kinetics" better than the majority of his remixes.

Because you asked: node graphs are basically what npc's use to move in source engine games, The nodegraph is automatically compiled into an AIN file when a map loads, unless there is an existing AIN with the correct checksum. When the nodegraph is built, a message saying "Node Graph out of Date. Rebuilding..." will display for all players in the server.

Specifically Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, but parsec, at max difficulty. No reason, none at all
9:50 Bullet sponges are fun in a Dark Souls/Monster Hunter setting, where you can telegraph their attacks and dodge through them - allowing you to slowly whittle them down.
Bullet sponges that have ranged, hitscan weaponry are bs on a platter that are solely there to make sure your health isn't too high at all times.
I'd say bullet sponges can be fun if they slowly break apart as you shoot the crap out of them, like in Binary Domain. Robots, giant monsters, vehicles...
Tbh bullet sponges are not fun to me at all, it's just doing the same things over and over and getting bored in a fight. To me gameplay should be evolving and engaging, and monster hunter specifically doesn't do well with that.

2:40 on the topic of half life sounds being used in other media, I was watching Teen Titans Go with my little sister and kept noticing a bunch of HL1 music stings being used, and I think they even use the same impact sounds as the HL2 crowbar hitting flesh for a couple of the fight scenes.
I would watch many of the different videos you could make. You both do action games really well like that bad 70's space Left for Dead or whatever that game that had "we've done it, Johnathan" that I can't find. I loved your Halo videos. You guys excel at whatever gets you to play off of each other while the game facilitates weird shenanigans.

It's this wacky webcomic which was the precursor to the infamous Homestuck which directly led to the creation of Undertale.
Sure you've heard it before, but Madness Combat isn't actually a flash GAME but actually a series of flash ANIMATIONS. They're made by Krinkels, and you can find em on Newgrounds or UA-cam. There IS a Madness game, however. That would be Madness Project Nexus. There is also Project Nexus Classic. Good animations, good games, top tier.
You can crossover Half-Life with anything, because anyone who has heard the words "half" and "life" is a Half-Life fan.

it probably has already been explained but i think the note graph is the "map" the npc use. its like tells them where they can walk and where not

@@DeadwaterGaming a navmesh is the more advanced way for NPCs to know the map, its not used in Half-life 2 and most singleplayer source games, but stuff like CSS (which it was initially made for) or gmod do. the difference is that a node graph is done completely manually within Hammer by placing the said nodes around your map, while navmesh is a thing you generate while already ingame via setting points in the map from which the walkable areas are being "flooded" so to say, it spreads across all areas the algorithm can reach from within the points set by the player.

One of the recent updates to HL2 that valve pushed for the steam-deck may have broken a couple things, as this modpack is about a year old now. Either that or there's something seriously wrong with my setup that I'm not aware of lol.
