Main missions are full of boring trailing missions where NPCs move at the speed of turtles. Even the stories suck. Altair's and Ezio's stories were great so they kept doing the same thing over and over. I think the Problem is that Basim's story is dealing with political espionage outside of an official military zone. It is a stealth setting with him trying to avoid damage. Accordingly we can say stealth and parkour. However, the Golden Age of Baghdad should have a lot of stories to tell, thus being able to implement a lot of them in the game. I know Mirage is not the most perfect game but the complaints that y’all give can be easily said with so many classic AC games.
We know what we want, it's people like you who like to suck off Ubisoft for mediocrity. The game is objectively bad, people asked for an old-school AC, guess what dialogues AND combat AND weapons were way better in old games. When people ask make a old school game they are not asking for a bad game. Always feels downright weird to see people defend a multimillion-dollar soulless corporation only making games as an excuse to make money with no creativity or innovation whatsoever instead of fellow gamers who want a complete well-made experience. @@Boogieman618
@@Boogieman618bro.. the combat in the old AC games was fun… there’s a reason that AC/Arkham style combat was so fun. But even better th encombat from before AC3 was even BETTER… the new combat is BORING… we know what we want. The only good game they be recently made was Valhalla…. And that’s cause of the story… the rest? Ugh ew so boring i couldn’t finish even half of the game.
Hell they made unity, which was amazing although buggy at first, then syndacite, then said fuck it let’s change the entire genre of our franchise and completely rework the gameplay and type of game you’re playing! Wanna be an assassin? Too bad you can be a brute Viking ! Or a Greek soldier!!
@@rickycool6083 I never said that Mirage was a good game. You’re just assuming that because y’all can’t take accountability. If y’all actually knew what y’all wanted y’all would’ve realized that Ubisoft “going back to its roots” is fucking retarded. It doesn’t take that much brain capacity to realize that part of the reason why AC games are subpar now is because of the stupid ass fanbase who all want different things and get mad when Ubisoft doesn’t go their direction.
@@CaptainRockoBD and that’s fine to think that, but the problem with a lot of peoples arguments against the game is that it can be said with many of the classic AC games too. They complain about the combat not having combos, AC 2 and Brotherhood debatably had even LESS combos and had more of a one hit wonder combat system like Mirage. They complain about how many bugs there are, Black Flag also had a shit ton of bugs that Ubisoft didn’t fix but the fans ignored them. It gets to the point where AC fans might deadass be worse than Bethesda fans in terms of validating something they don’t want.

@@aca347lol alright, so youre telling me patched unity, ac3, brotherhood, revelations all are trash? Tell me youve never played an ac game other than 1, 2 and black flag
@@bacon8686 I played unity. probably the most glitchy AC. Revelations was fine. AC3 took ages to start being fun. AC1 and AC2 were incredibly innovative and unique games when they came out. I'd just climb around and assassinate random guards for fun. Today AC games throws you an endless open world full of mind-numbing repetitive content. Main missions are full of boring trailing missions where NPCs move at the speed of turtles. Even the stories suck. Altair's and Ezio's stories were great so they kept doing the same thing over and over. Either your mentor turns insane and assassins start infighting or a templar kills your loved ones so you go full revenge. Same thing over and over again. The only thing I appreciated was when they tried to revamp the whole combat system but I was already burned out on AC games by then. Also the AC games are just WAY TOO EASY. You don't need to sneak or use all those fancy gadgets most of the time.
At this day and age if you actually wanna play a good AC-style game, just play Shadow of Mordor instead. They did AC better than AC and nobody managed to top them.

Rule of cool.
In the original games, they did that so that they could use the hidden blade. It's explained by DaVinci in AC2.
DaVinci a real one fr
Funnily enough, Altair had that exact line of thought when he modified the Hidden Blade so no one had to cut their finger anymore.
What's even funnier is realizing that the whole cutting off the finger deal could have been avoided entirely if the Assassins/Hidden Ones had just worn the Hidden Blades properly in the first place.
Zanny taking another one for the team by playing this, kudos, man, as usual, bless your heart.

People are now realizing the bullshit that the hardcore fans want Because when the hardcore AC fans say “AC should go back to its roots” and they listen, the fans are still unsatisfied.
