The story of Yasuke (the Black samurai) isn't entirely true, by the way. He was a slave that the Portuguese gave to Oda Nobunaga; he served as a retainer and died in obscurity. He wasn't a samurai.
I would like to shed light on how is story ended, when nobunaga was betrayed and killed, all his samurais and lords were killed along with him or committed seppuku once their master died, yasuke however was not killed and he did not commit seppuku, which is one of the indications that he was not a samurai, he was captured and was given back to the Portuguese as they did not deem it important enough to kill a foreigner like yasuke, if yasuke was fighting for nobunaga and was a samurai, they would have killed him but as they thought it was not important they let him go.
Maybe for the next one we get a cross between origins and mirage. I liked everything about mirage except the lame story, bad combat, parkour felt more slow and clunky compared to how freerunning worked in Unity..but minus those 3 points im happy. I like the setting and the music and the stealth is a step in the right direction. No level or crappy rpg elements and most enemies die when they get assassinated. I like that stuff
You know, if Ubisoft brought the melee combat from For Honor and put in the exploration and open world of Black Flag, they’d have the perfect game right there. Maybe throw in some Star Wars stuff like lightsaber combat for fun

There is no story in Assassin's Creed, its not going anywhere, theres never going to be an ending. Assassin's Creed is like a cartoon without continuity. Like a TV show on its 15th season. It will get cancelled one year and whatever last game was made will be the "ending" of the story. It won't be a satisfying conclusion written with passion, it will be a begrudging abandonment of their cashcow franchise
Literally everything cool about this game was taken from shadow of war/Mordor and those games have so much more to them. Including very fun combat and stealth mechanics.
If you like highly detailed condensed or small environments I'd recommend the Deus Ex series (the original, Human Revolution and Mankind Divided). I think the modern ones, especially Mankind Divided is what you're gonna like.

3:07, I remember Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker having really good smoke bomb mechanics that meshed well with take downs since the character in that game moves a lot faster, so by the time the cloud dissipated, there'd be no one standing and the player had plenty of time to find cover before being spotted, instead of a character being locked into a stiff animation with every major action.

challenging in a way of mechanics not by making enemies damage sponges is very important.
Tenchu did that and it was great. You couldn't tank hits so avoiding combat was always the way to go.
