  • @leilahannah4806

    I think most people use this product primarily for exfoliation (texture, luminosity, pores) and they use it in a "toner" because that's the easiest way to incorporate into your skin regimen without conflicts. You can swap out your toners and serums on alternating evenings but it becomes complicated when the AHA is in your daily cleanser or moisturiser. Maybe I misunderstood the video but almost everyone uses this as an exfoliator

    • @Dr_Abs
      @Dr_Abs  5 місяців тому +2

      Yeah I mentioned exfoliating at the start

  • @TryMyMartini
    @TryMyMartini Місяць тому

    OK, so is the problem that it is a toner? If it was a 7% glycolic acid serum then that would be better? If you want to add a chemical exfoliator, you shouldn't add it in toner form?

      Impossible to be definitive without examining your skin but a light acid like a mandelic or lactic if you wanted to stick with TheOrdinary could help with texture

    I am so confused dr …. Many doctors here in Switzerland are preaching to use acids on a daily basis as to boost the natural process of skin cell turnover by gently removing dead skin cells and triggering the creation of new ones, while drastically improving all skin problems 🤯

    You didn't even touch on exfoliation, which is the purpose for which the vast majority purchase this product (not for a ph adjustment). In fact, with this particular product, "toner" is a bit of a misnomer. It's really a liquid exfoliator.

      It can definitely do that, but it's not essential is my opinion. If you use products with a mild acid incorporated then you have the same effect without an extra product
