I apply the ordinary glycolic acid, after 2 mins salicylic acid, dry for 2 mins then apply sunscreen on it, every i apply at 10AM and was it off at around 3 or 4 PM, is this good routine?
I wouldn’t mix their glycolic acid and salicylic acid. You also don’t need to exfoliate daily. When it comes to choosing the glycolic or salicylic, Choose 1 or the other.
Also apply a moisturizer before your spf. You can wash off when you do your night time routine x

@@nivedyas8995 as far as i know, glycolic acid should only be used during the night as our skin is much sensitive when acid is put in our skin
the next day, it is recommended to use sunscreen that has spf50 to help protect our skin from hyperpigmentation and to prevent our skin from sunburns caused by the senitivity of our skin (sorry for bad english)

Use it at night time a few times a week and just don’t use your retinol that evening. You would use on alternative days.
Example - Exfoliation night 1, Retinol night 2 & 3 - repeat

Hey there, if you have already bought it yes you can use it :) but for your next serum go with salicylic acid instead because it is oil soluble and is better for oily skin xx

Hey there :) yes that is correct! I would go with the lactic acid serum instead it is more gentle but still very effective.
The peeling solution is like a chemical peel - this is very advanced and should only be used by experienced acid users.

Defanitley lactic acid :) and only start using once a week considering you’ve never used actives before and then you can build up to 2 x per week x

BHA is oil soluble and great for oily skin types, black heads, pustles etc.
If you are on the drier side and want to use glycolic acid you can. It just depends on your skin type and your concerns

Soap with water for cleansing > the ordinary Glycolic acid > the ordinary Niacinamide > the ordinary moisturizing cream > sunscreen
Hey there, don’t use soap as it is drying and causes an impaired skin barrier, find a cleanser instead to use for your cleansing step.
You don’t need to use glycolic acid every day - so use just a few times a week. We personally recommend to not mix niacinamide with glycolic acid and too use separately.

You can still use the other products but just not at the same time :)
Don't use them the same evening that you use glycolic acid. But the rest of the time you can use them just fine.

I almost don’t think you’re serious when saying you can’t mix it with any other substances 😮 you can very well mix it with HA, mild vit C (not 20 or 30%) or 10% niacinamide with or without zinc, or even with BHA…this is just toner and maybe people with very sensitive/sensitive skin might be cautious, otherwise it’s absolutely okay.
Hey Monika :) The Ordinary does not recommend to use this toner with those ingredients we listed in the video.
We also know of some other brands that don’t recommend to use glycolic acid with the same ingredients.
Considering most people who use this product from the ordinary use other brands too in their routine, it’s best to be safe. Tailored routine’s can be given to someone when they have had a skin analysis and we fully understand what their skin and what they use
Other acids refers to alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy acids.
However we didn’t state you cannot use the hyaluronic acid from the ordinary with this product.

yes that is correct, but you don't need to use the toner everyday as it is an exfolating acid. 2 x a week will be plenty x - and you can also go through a skin purging period for 4-6 weeks when you introduce acids into your routine

yes you wouldn't use other exfoliating acids products with this toner. Hyaluronic acid is not an exfoliating acid :) so you can use alongside glycolic acid.@@rillua I know it can be confusing because it has the word acid in it haha!

Why can you use with vitamin c? Just the sensitivity to sun?
The ordinary recommends you don't use at the same time as L-ascorbic acid. L-ascorbic acid is also an acid and using both at the same time may result in the skin becoming irritated with flare-ups of redness. However if you wish to try you can, just be mindful.
Ideally use Vitamin C in the morning, and the glycolic toner in the evening instead so you can get the best results from both. Ensure you wear suncreen every day too

Please do not use glycolic acid daily. You will get chemical burns from using it daily. Use it once or twice a week
Most dermatologist recommend to use two times a week at night only and don't use it without using sunscreen during the day as it makes you more sensitive to light
