Even though we take calorie deficit diet for years together, my understanding is that we will plateau at a certain body weight depending on the individual body type. So, to what point do we limit our calorie deficit and what will be the practical effects on body and it's functioning with long term calorie deficit diet

    i think most of the people who want to lose weight, will exercise and diet for few days or week and expect to become normal! that's not how it works, you have to be consistent and do it every single day for a long time!

    Bayya miru cheppindi correct but with TDEE we can loose weight even by eating all calories from junk food like cake, icecream ....main point is we loose weight and our BMR will also be reduced and your muscle will also be reduced. Now after loosing weight after some days or months you start to eat normal food again now you gain double the weight. My point is choose a method (diet - eat homemade food and seasonal fruits plus exercise)which you can do for minimum of 5 years with consistency then you will carry that for life. Just don't follow easy methods to loose weight in couple of months.
