Im very excited to showcase the newest product to the Mirror Finish Polishes lineup. Drippin' Shine is a water based tire dressing with silicone added for insane gloss and durability. @StaySlick 7 днів тому

      You can use an Uber flex hose with it but active says these units aren’t designed to be used with a 50 foot hose. It comes with a 25 I believe. It has to do with back pressure. I think I know it doesn’t make sense. It should work fine And to be fair it does, but all of my active units have broken on me.

      @@StaySlick That is hysterical, because i am actually using 3/8 x 75' there site says hose not to exceed 100' the machines whines so much. I have had it over 1 1/2 and I am an at home enthusiast. I will run it till it breaks and either go for broke with Kranzel or stay economical and go ryobi. I wash personal cars Mar- Nov then it is too cold to use machine. I think I will be fine Love the videos

    Do you have any recommendations for cheaper but good quality stainless quick connect sets from AMAZON or anywhere else? Mckillans looks good but $70 is a lot.

  • @photog1529
    @photog1529 Місяць тому

    I'll start by saying I'm not a detailing pro. I bought the Ryobi from HD about 4 months ago for detailing my personal car, using a 25 feet flex hose with it and a McKillan's foam cannon. The first four times, I had one issue for a minute or so where the machine would run but not create any pressure. Just yesterday, it would run continuously without creating any pressure at all. Not sure if this what you refer to as 'surging', but more like 'stalling'. Now considering an Active 2.0. Since I'm not a pro, the cons you mention wouldn't really apply to me. I've seen it for $350 on Amazon, and $270 on Ali Express. But I doubt I'll be buying an more Ryobi products in the future. Thankfully, I'm not out a lot of money.

    Wow! That's crazy how ineffective those filters were. I was going to use those as I also saw them at WalMart and thought, "Hmm....these might be at least better than nothing on my water hose". But I am glad you did this testing to discover it's probably a waste of money to get those in-line water filters. At least for detailing purposes when you want as low as possible in the parts per million.

    Turtle Wax really upped their game over the past few years. I love their Hybrid Solutions Graphene Paste Wax. One of the glossiest waxes I have ever used in my 45+ years of detailing automobiles of all types and sizes. It's a little oily, but very easy to use. I applied it with my PXE-80 mini polisher with a 3" pad and it worked perfectly to lay down a thin layer of the wax onto the panels. The 3" pad fits perfectly into the can also so it made it easy to load up the pad with the wax. It has a pleasant smell too. I applied the wax to the entire vehicle before wiping it off with a thick, plush microfiber cloth and it was slightly grabby on the wipe off but still very easy. Once I went back over the vehicle with a dry plush microfiber, it buffed out to a beautiful candy apple gloss type of finish. I wonder if I would have used the Graphene to the Max wax first, then put the paste on over it, it would have even looked glossier. I like the Hybrid Solutions Pro Line of products and especially the Graphene Paste wax. It's one of my favorite waxes of all time. It's that good. Turtle Wax hit a home run with that product.

    One of the very best deals on the market currently for spray and rinse waxes is Superior Products Formula 4 Spray Wax. It's only $23.99 a GALLON which is WAY WAY cheaper than any other brand of spray and rinse type of sealant on the market in 2024. You can also use it by spraying it directly on your panel with a spray bottle as a drying aide that works well also. Formula 4 Spray Wax is one of those "hidden gems" in touchless sealants. Hell, the small bottle of Snake Oil from Wash Chems is $70! which is absolutely nuts. Again, Formula 4 Spray Wax from Superior Products is $24 A GALLON!!!!! It can be diluted many ways and you can easily vary the dilution depending on how you personally want to use the product. Try it out for yourself. Wash Chems is a pretty good touchless wash product, which I use first, then top it with Superior Products Formula 4 Spray Wax. The best way to apply it is via a pump up pressure sprayer either diluted or even undiluted for even more protection, all over the vehicle like you are spraying a pre-soak on a rinseless wash. Again, you can easily control the dilution or way you want to use it adding more to the mix or whatever. It can also be applied via a foam cannon diluted in a mixed up solution, or using the Griot's BOSS foam cannon with the metering tips directly hooked up to a bottle using it straight from the bottle The product was originally designed for coin operated car wash operations, however, over the years, some detailers discovered this product and adapted it for their detailing business as a cost effective sealant option for those people who just want a maintenance wash. It's so reasonably priced, you could even give it to customers who pay for a maintenance wash as a "bonus" for free to add value to your business and get referrals from loyal customers. At $24 a gallon, it's a very minimal cost to incorporate into a business or a great value for those who detail their vehicles at home. I'm sure there are many others out there, but the Superior Products Formula 4 Spray Wax is probably the best "value" based spray and rinse sealant out there. It also may not be the longest lasting "touchless" or "spray and rinse" product on the market, but with such a high value, you can use it one a week or every other week to keep topping up the sealant. Chem-X has a good system, but their products are WAY too high priced to use them for everyday detailing on automobiles. It might be great for big rigs, but too cost prohibitive for home use unless you are wealthy and can put down that kind of money every time you buy the gallon sized products which is like $150 plus another $70 for the Snake Oil which is over $200 just to wash vehicles. NOPE! Even the Griot's Foaming Poly Gloss is way more expensive than the Superior Products Formula 4 Spray Wax gallon. Foaming Poly Gloss works pretty good, but you need to use it out of the sun, and I always have to wipe the vehicle down with a microfiber towel after using Poly Gloss just to ensure a streak free glossy finish. It's similar to a spray and rinse product, but you have to wait 10 minutes before rinsing which you see the Poly Gloss forming into lines on the paint and then running down the paint towards the ground as the foam dissipates. Once you start seeing the product start to gather into noticeable lines on the paint and running downwards, then you know it's time to rinse it off. Another really unique touchless wash product on the market today is from P&S called "CRYSTAL WASH". It a decontamination wash you spray onto your paint and allow to fully crystalize before rinsing clean carrying away road film and contaminants, making your clay mitt decontamination easier as the Crystal Wash breaks all the road gunk off of your paint and even starts to tackle iron deposits and other types of contamination on your vehicle paint. It's a unique product unlike any I have ever seen. I'm not sure what technology Crystal Wash uses, but it is very effective so that may be another touchless wash you want to give a shot. You might like that one and it's not too bad on the price at only $22.50 PER GALLON! Crystal Wash is a fantastic "pre-wash" product and it is a "must have" for decontamination washes in my personal opinion. I incorporate it into my routine wash along with other products such as Wash Chems Pro-100 first, then Crystal Wash after that to tackle contaminants that the Wash Chems Pro-100 may not have gotten in the touchless first stage. Crystal Wash is one of the most unique products I have seen for decon/touchless washing. Again, you'd have to experiment with it yourself to see how you would incorporate into your own wash routine. It's a very good product for $24 A GALLON!

    I've been wanting to try this product for a while now. Thanks for your honest review. I thought this was more of a sheeting type product, which is why I haven't tried it yet because I prefer strong beading products over sheeting products, but apparently I was wrong since you have pretty good beading right after application and the rinse. I had no idea that Mirror Finish had their own version of a touchless sealant. I am going to have to try that one too along with Snake Oil. Chem-X has some of the best labeling in the industry along with the bright colors they use which really draws the eye onto the product with that bright lime "slime" green color. Even Stars & Stripes draws your eye to them with their distinctive red and blue colors. Chem-X is one of the leaders in touchless washing and cater mainly to the big rig industry where using an effective touchless wash system is a lot more important due to the size of the vehicles. Chem-X has nailed it with their low, then high PH touchless washes, and also with their Heavy Duty APC, and this Snake Oil to quickly seal and protect the vehicle. This product is very similar to Griot's Foaming Poly-Gloss. Just a different color basically, but they pretty much do the same thing. You foam on, then rinse, although the Griot's you leave on the surface for like 10 minutes, and then rinse it off. The only problem I have with Chem-X products is that they are super expensive compared to other products on the detailing market. One gallon each of their stars and stripes is something like $150 and that's way too high. WAY too high. I understand they are catering to the big rigs and maybe those type places don't mind paying the high prices for a unique product like Chem-X but for car detailing, it's high. Great products, but too high priced. I am going over to the Mirror Finish site to see how much their touchless is compared to Chem-X. Another company is Wash Chems Pro-100 or Pro-50 touchless washes which I also use, which is a single product system for washing unlike the two bottle system of Chem-X. I guess the debate would be which one is better. Chem-X, Wash Chems, or Mirror Finish?

    Rinse from the bottom up and then top to bottom to agitate it better into the surface

      That’s a common practice for bigger vehicles like big rigs but not necessarily a must for regular vehicles. Do it if you like it though 👍🏾

    How is it identical to bead maker on how you use it? Bead it up is supposed to be used on a clean dry vehicle right?. Bead maker can be used wet or dry, as a rinse aid or a drying aid. Also, you use far less Bead it up than Bead maker
