    Bottom line: This is the Best machine in its class. And The company stands behind their products, Which makes it even more valuable in my eyes. We ran this little machine for 8 hours a day for 2 months straight, pulling wallpaper down in hotel hallways . Not a single issue. 12 gauge 50 ft. Extension cord . Its a freaking Beast 💪

    I love mine!! Speeds up my time & efficiency by far. Make sure u drain the boiler frequently & run distilled white vinegar thru it once a week or so. Maintenance is key

    • @efraimperez2726
      @efraimperez2726 Рік тому +1

      If you're running distilled water only, you won't have to clean it with vinegar that often maybe every 5 months or so just to be safe

    • @StaySlick
      @StaySlick  Рік тому +1

      @efraimperez2726 the owner of chief specifically says not to use filtered water. On the unit it also says tap water only. After spending a G on this unit I’m going to follow his instructions. Trust me deionized or distilled water makes more sense to me but for warranty purposes I’ll follow his directions.

    • @efraimperez2726
      @efraimperez2726 Рік тому

      @@StaySlick makes sense to do the vinegar wash every week then haha. That's strange. Every steamer i've used was only to be used with distilled water. Yes, definitely after spending that much money follow instructions so they don't void your warranty haha

      Update: DO NOT RUN WHITE VINEGAR thru your machine. It damages things. Chief changed their stance on doing this. They replaced the pump on my unit last month.

    • @efraimperez2726
      @efraimperez2726 Рік тому

      @@loonah8473 My machine recommends to run white distilled vinegar through it every so often. I only did it because I purchased it used and could tell that there was calcium buildup and mineral deposits. Again, I run distilled water through my machine only so I don't really ever need to do it. Thanks for the heads up though!

    I've had one of these for a little over a year and it is a great unit. The customer service from Chief Steamer is wonderful as well. I looked at every unit in this price bracket and nothing compares to the 100's specs. That rubber cover on the bottom is the drain plug btw.

They make you cut the cord and send pictures to get it cover under warranty. But can’t wait to get my chief this week. But seeing your video made me more sure that i made the right decision thanks brother.

    The chief steamer Company claims their steamer produces over 300° Steam. Have you tested the temperature at 1/2 inch from the nozzle? And if so, can you share your readings, the thermometer that you used, and how you used it?

      @@StaySlickif you have hard water you can put a tiny amount of Optimum no rinse. It will keep the boiler from scaling and you don’t have to drain it as often. It can make the steam a little more wet if you use too much.

      Hey, don’t hate because you spent way too much money on a carpet extractor

    • @ThisIsSparta300
      @ThisIsSparta300 Рік тому

      @@StaySlicklol I spent 3800 on a ninja 150 and it does WAYYYYYYYY more than any steamer. I’ve even had duprays big box steamer that’s 10k. This steamer is more than enough but it’ll never match an extractor. Trying to use steam to clean a muddy dirty filthy carpet is a joke for extraction. It isn’t even close. We’ve done 1980 interiors since 2020. Been detailing since 2011. My company is 5.0 review score on google with 197 reviews. An extractor is more so needed that a steam cleaner also. You can soak a seat and tornador it and have similar results (appearance wise) than a steamer. An extractor pulls while blasting boiling water and you can see when the water is clean through the tool. It just doesn’t company to an extractor for anything but seat tracks, honey, dried bbq sauce , interior foods on plastics or carpets. But generally as a common use item.. eliminating a steamer from your build order saves
      About a half hour or an hour on a 3-4 hour clean.

      Four years ago I purchased the Chief Model 75 steamer which has now been replaced by the Chief 100. It’s a great unit and I’ve never had a problem with the Chief. Prior to the Chief I had a McCullough steamer and the Chief is a far more capable unit. Great piece of equipment for interior details.

      12 gauge is perfect wire,,, 15 to small it will work but continues working the 15 gauge gets hot and won't be healthy for the steamer this steamer has an element that's 1750 watts i think... can't remember off the top of my head but I do have the same. After talking with the owner Kevin he recommended 12 gauge or even 10 gauge this steamer is bad ass
