Ty so much for being brave enough to try AND even more so to recommend those Merlin air reels. Just saved alot of us detailers valuable equip. money!
Glad you are feeling better, looks like you are running lean and mean, that's 👍. We will be out there soon to get it looking pretty!
Thank you sir yep as lean as I know how to. There is always “room for improvement” though 😉
Glad you're feeling better my dude! Hope you and the family had a good turkey day.
Glad you're feeling better G. I was down and out a bit as well.
Glad you and your family are doing better! Love that setup bro. Being efficient and using what you can use and modyfing to your needs.
I like how you said it. its a functional setup not a perfect. you doing what works for you ✌️
I can confirm with the hose reel, no issues just a drop or two. worth it to convert it with a water pressure hose.
Glad your feeling better, my setup is definitely beast now thanks to your advice on the hose reel. Detail times are much faster.
Right on man I’m glad to help. Yea the retractable reels are awesome. Setup and load up are way faster.
Love the videos man. Definitely have learned a lot from watching you. Hope you’re doing better, esp since it’s like 6 months plus since you put this out, but I’ll throw my hat in the ring. I have the same hose reel, only use it for air though, and the swivel, the part people are saying is only rated at 200psi, which I feel looks way cheaper than some I found on Amazon as a replacement. The replacements were rated at 5,000psi. I don’t know if the one that comes with the reel would handle that much. If someone is that worried about it they can pick up the 5,000psi one for like $20 and switch it out. Just sayin.
Awesome Set-Up! I think its normal when the reels become weak towards the end of the reel. My retractable air hose does the same thing.
I plan on getting two of those reels soon. We’re running some of the same machines (generator, vacuum and compressor) and I’m wondering if you’ve ever had problems with any of that getting wet. I haven’t had to work in the rain yet. I wash cars here and there and I want to make it full time. Great videos man !
No I’ve worked in the rain with the cover open quite a few times with no issues.
Yeah I’m process of setting up trailer for next year, and after seeing your first video on the truck set up got me thinking & trying a set up that way at first SIMPLE AND CLEAN!!! Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Yea man try the truck first man. It’s way easier to get around and way more convenient.
What I recommend is a Prevost air coupler on the end of your air hose. The tool wont shoot off if you release it one handed and its a button so if I'm working with 3-4 different air tools at once its quicker to swap between them.
I like the updated setup stayslick, where did you find the "T" piece for the pressure washer?Home depot
You’re a real one and not trying to push some over priced products that most of us don’t need. Glad you’re feeling better
I have almost same setup but when I gravity feed my pressure washer it sounds like it struggles
Use some flex seal on that wood, will help the longevity of it! I used the same reel and set up for my pressure washer and it definitely saved me some cash! Keep up the good content and get better!
Yeah, one of the guys at Home Depot was telling me that because I was looking for some kind of water seal and they were pointing me towards the asphalt roof sealer’s, but they did mention flexseal
What's up man, you may have fixed it already but you may need to adjust the tension on the pressure washer reel. Had to do it on my air hose reel and it's good now. I will send you the link on UA-cam I looked at.
Where did you get the water tank?
How do you like Daddy-O from Shine Supply? How long does it last with proper maintenance?
I love daddy o. My only complaint is the time it takes to apply. With spray ceramic coatings or sealants at the level they are now there’s no reason for me to use a machine applied sealant. Just me opinion.
Thanks for this video, inspired me to stop bs and get setup out of my truck. How has the active 2.0 been with gravity feed? I’ve read some people burn up the pump having it gravity fed
I’ve never had a single issue, gravity feeding. I’m not sure when everybody is talking about. I just think people are making errors because they don’t know how to do it gravity feeding is incredibly easy.
How did you set it up for gravity feed? Do you need the tank higher than the pressure washer?
Anything special needed to know about gravity feeding the 2.0? Just got it and don’t want to break it lol
Glad you’re better Gary. Did you have to take antibiotics? Happy thanksgiving buddy. Love your set up.
Thank you Anna. Yes I just got done with my round of antibiotics today. Happy thanksgiving.
Thank you for explaining about the air hose reel to a water hose reel now I can be more happy to get better quality and not to expensive, does the predator 3500 can run the vacuum and air compressor at the same time ?
@@StaySlick and where can I get the connector adapter from and thank you again for the help
Did you just mount the bottle holders by screwing then into the plastic bed liner or did you use something adhesive?
@@StaySlick thanks! Finally got the reel done I’ll be posting a video soon! Works great 👍🏽
Nice thanks for posting are you going to ever go back to your trailer?
Hey brother, I have a super quick question I hope you can answer as I’m in the middle of buying the predator 3500.
Are you able to run your Ridgid air compressor with the Ridgid shop vac together or do you have to run them separately?
Thank you in advance!
Great set up. Do you have to pull out all the pressure washer hose on reel before use?
I have have a predator 3200 psi pressure washer would that Merlin reel hold up to that pressure?
Idk man that’s pretty high pressure. I hope youre not using that for cars that’s dangerous.
@@StaySlick I could Agree to that to a certain extent, I’ve been using 3000 psi pressure washer for detailing for over 8+years and yes it a lot of pressure but never had any problems as in taking paint off I guess once you use it you’ll realize from how far to power spray cars. I’m just so used to it because of how fast I can take off the soap from cars and plus when I get those muddy trucks lol. But yes I think that reel wouldn’t support to much pressure
@@469christian yea I had a gas pressure washer with 2800 psi at on work t and it was incredibly fatiguing on my body and was just unnecessary for 99-% off the vehicles I see.
Happy thanks giving!!
Back at ya!!!
