Love your sense of humor
I am loving all your helpful ideas. I am interest in being able to stitch my pdf from my tablet and there r many apps out there, I am leaning towards SAGA do u have other thoughts on this
@@LindaSlatten I use GoodReader and I absolutely love it. I also use it for my everyday non-stitching life for digitally signing pdf documents and for converting emailed or downloaded to a pdf so I can fill it out. For my stitching, I take photos of my stitching charts and then import them to GoodReader. Then I convert them to a pdf so I can annotate them. You can only use the freehand tool, the one at the very bottom of the toolbar on the side. The highlighter doesn’t work on a stitching chart because the app doesn’t recognize any text in the pdf since it’s just a bunch of symbols. But, the freehand tool works great. I set the freehand tool to 50% opaque so I can still see the symbol of stitches I’ve marked off. I highly recommend you give GoodReader a try.
@piros44 is this Android compatible
@@LindaSlatten it doesn’t look like it.
@piros44 I won't be able to use that one then
@ frustrating! Look for an app that can easily convert a photo file to a PDF so you can mark on it. The tools I use are the freehand and line tools. In my non-stitching life, I use the typewriter tool to fill out forms. I find my phone or tablet camera app to be the best for taking photos of my charts. I tried a scanner app and that turned out blurry. Zoom in on your photos to make sure the symbols are clear. Make photo edits so the chart is nice and square. Good lighting and no glare is important. Take photos of the chart key and the completed project photo also. Hope this helps!
Wow, thank you for this! I can't wait to keeping this in mind with my stitching.
@Thesharratts glad you found it helpful!
Why did you stop?! Great videos, it’d be lovely to see some more x
Loving these videos, thank you so much for making them!!
I need to get those magnifiers!
I can’t find the 103 video

@@angeltorres5132 thank you! I’m hoping my life will calm down in a few months and I can get back to my needlework and finish my tutorial series on FlossTube. I have way too many WIPs stored in project bags to just leave them half done!
Hi,Laura.I am still a newbie at cross stitch, your tutorials have helped me tremendously!Thank you
@@debbielewis1803 thank you! I hope to get back to making new tutorials this fall when my life calms down a bit and I can pick up my needlework again.
Really helpful, thank you ❤
love your videos, learnt a lot of new things. thanks
Thanks!
Where did you get the multi needle parking tool?
It’s called Needle Park Avenue. It’s available in a number of Etsy shops for around $10-$12 each.
WHERE DID YOU GET THE MULTI NEEDLE PARK TOOL ?
Laura, I am incredibly impressed with your video tutorials. #1, they are filmed close and clear and with your camera on a tripod that is holding still. #2. They are well planned out and in orderly sequential format. 3. You make an effort to make sure the learner is seeing the illustration as you work by having a good camera angle and keeping the work within the frame of the camera. 4. You explain things step by step and give a reason or the benefits of doing things the way you are teaching. 5. You explain things so clearly and show it so clearly, there is no way to miss it! Yeah! I have taken notes and done screen shots to illustrate my notes. So I have watched your videos multiple times in the process. I am a beginner actually having only done two 5" hooped simple projects. Now I want to do something much more difficult so am compiling tools that will help me from your recommendations and have learned so much from you. I really appreciate every effort you make for all of us newbies as well as the rest that have done this for years. Cross your fingers and stitches for me that I can actually patiently do a "park your needles" project.
Brilliant idea, thank you for sharing! I'm so sorry for what you went through with that callous doctor. Male doctors dismissing and gaslighting female patients needs to stop.
Maybe I missed it but say you have three stitches of a color then it skips a stitch and that next stitch is the same color do you stitch it or wait until the next color is stitched hence the “dirty hole clean hole” can continue. I hope I make sense.
❤❤❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! This is exactly what was I looking for with the measurements. And then you have the pdfs!?!? Amazing😊❤. Again thank you
Thank you for your excellent demonstration of the various starts and stops. Your idea of using a large count Aida to show the stitching was brilliant!! So easy to see and follow along. I watch floss tube on my iphone when viewing demos and it has been difficult to follow. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Happy Stitching from South Carolina. Ann
I love how you explain things. Thank you for doing these videos!
Awesome tutorial!! Thanks
Haven't seen you in awhile, where are you? Any plans for more videos? Your channel has been the most analytical clear set of videos on cross stitch that I've seen!

Hi Nerdy thank you for sharing you knowledge I am impressed and learned a lot from you I definitely fallow you watch every morning before I go to work while I am in my treadmill thank you so much
I’m very excited to learn!
Hi Laura, I’m not a beginner but I want to tell you how much I love your videos, I like to watch them in the background while I work on my crafts. You are the teacher I wish I had had in HS science and your style for teaching cross stitching is right up my alley. Thank you! Btw, I ❤your turtle pendant!
Looking forward to watching your full coverage cross stitch videos. I want to start my first full coverage piece this year, and have been watching several methods. Thanks for sharing your talents.
I just found you and enjoyed the video. I love your kachina on the table.
❤
Thank you! I like the demonstrations of the various pin stitches. I look forward to watching your flosstubes in the future.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for 2024! Just happened to find you this morning. Will have to watch you again, as there is so much info in your video. Tailors tacks, have heard of them, but have never done one. I have just bought a full coverage chart, not started yet, but now that I’ve found your video/website I will have the nerve to try it. Didn’t know you were gone as I had never seen you before. You are a great teacher, I’m just a slow learner. I’ve been stitching since about 1965. I just subscribed and hope to see more of you. Thanks for the lesson.
I was working on my HAED while listening to your "how to make your stitches prettier" and I noticed my stitches becoming significantly prettier as I began following your 3 rules. Thank you. It was a struggle until now.
What secured the second leg of your pin stitch??
hey Laura, I've been a subscriber for a while but just found your first vid. Enjoy your channel.
Best cross stitch video ever! Thank you ❌❌❌
Thank you for turning me on to the Snag-Nabbit. After having it only one day, I lost it and I was lost without it. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I found it in the fold of my couch. Love that thing.
I know that commenting on old videos will not likely but seen but on this one I must. Thank you for the warmth you shared. Your story on how a student contacted you and said that her and husband still talks about you and the funny stories you used to tell to her class was so precious and sweet. I've always felt teachers were unselfish people. They say that patience is a virtue and it takes a lot of virtue to be a teacher.
💘💝💖💗💓💞💕
Wonderful tutorial, great description and showing what she is doing.
Are you coming back?
Guess I’m a bit late to the party and I’m not sure you will even read this comment, but I really, really want to learn on to stitch on the diagonal. If I have to start with the Mill Hill kits I will. Look forward to learning…maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks 😮 So happy to have found someone willing to teach.
You’re on into something that is very important and helpful to a lot of us new embroidery and cross stitching lovers! I been reluctant to start a project because I feel I don’t have all the important knowledge of this beautiful art. Thank you so much for your knowledge and the time you give for others to learn.🙏🏻❤️💖
Thank you for sharing
Just found you. What a Great idea. Looking forward to seeing it😊
I am so happy you found something to help you. Nerve pain is the worst. I wish you the best.
