Thanks for sharing your journey with us. You inspire me, and I am sure many others. Love the cross-stitch tips as well.

Wow. The change in you is amazing. You are laughing, smiling and just so animated. I am so glad you have found what you want to do and you are finding so much enjoyment again. Thank you for taking us along with you. I am so much enjoying your videos and lessons. I have been stitching for years but you have taught me a lot of new things. You have a special talent and I appreciate the time you spend in my lounge teaching me.

Great news you joining the RSN looking forward to seeing your journey. I joined 10 years ago but had to stop as soon as I applied, I lost my job. It's still on my to do list . Looks like you will be learning lots of things other than needle work. Technology had a mind of its own

I'm really excited and thoroughly enjoyed my first zoom class even though it was on London time so middle of the night for me. :)

Your enthusiasm on all your future stitching is addictive and sounds like all-around fun. There is one designer I absolutely love, which creates some amazing blackwork designs; it is Tanja Berlin - I thought you might enjoy checking out her designs in your quest for all types of embroidery styles…. she has amazing instructions. I’ve been loving your videos!

@@piros44 You’re welcome. I purchased and completed her lovebirds on a branch, which had an assortment of beautiful threads, some metallics as well as purl pearl for couching. Her instructions are really amazing. I will never forget her using tacking stitches to outline her design-that was a first for me and works beautifully without having to draw anything on the fabric. You will not be disappointed if you purchase one of her kits or take a class….mine was an actual class whereby I posted photos of my progress and she made recommendations. Can you tell I really love Tanja Berlin???

I’m so excited to see your list of projects and seeing how your skill set grows. I can’t go to that place yet as I’m still working my day job but I’ll happily live vicariously through you notwithstanding your recalcitrant top camera. 🤣

Thank you! I've been eyeing the Royal School's self paced video class on Blackwork. I'm doing the silk shading one now and it's very well done. Here's the link, in case you're interested. ua-cam.com/video/7NeMw0bodLk/v-deo.html.

Great to see you! The Royal School of Needlework also did Kate Middleton's (future Queen Consort) wedding dress. It's one of the most beautiful wedding dresses I've ever seen! You should check it out. I'm really excited to go on this journey with you - I've always admired the school. I want to see silk work that looks like painting. You are already an amazing needlework teacher. Thank you for sharing your skills!

What brand of frame do you use? I live in Canada, so it is very expensive to purchase frames from USA and Europe due to taxes and duties. I just ordered a large order from hobby house needleworks in New York and was hit with a 129.00 brokerage/tax bill. So I need to be very aware of extra costs before ordering. I’d really like a millenium frame from the UK. But their customer service isn’t any good. Omanik is the same. We do have a dependable supplier for those in Canada, but they are always out of stock. I’m having difficulty sourcing Nurge. Any assistance or experience for this type of frame would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

I use a Millennium Frame and floor stand. They actually have good customer service, they’re just overwhelmed with orders and are taking quite a while to ship. It’s a pretty small mom and pop operation from what I can tell and with Brexit, I think they are struggling with finding both labor and materials. I love my frame and stand and am glad I spent the money even with the customs and shipping charges and the long wait. Have you seen the Arabeska frames and stands? It’s a new company out of Ukraine and is available on Canadian Amazon. I bought a frame and it’s really nice and I highly recommend it. I don’t know about the floor stand but it looks very promising. If you do decide to try it, let me know what you think.
