@HakenE30 your videos are invaluable as I am just about to attempt and I repeat attempt an N55 6spd Auto Engine and Trans swap into a 1998 Z3. I have a complete working 2010 E92 335i Donnor car. I would love to hear your thoughts about a few points as I also intend to transplant all E92 harnesses, Dashboard and Steering Wheel. This leaves me with a way to overcome the DSC communication issue with the Rear end and Front Brakes etc. I am in Australia so both cars are Right Hand Drive.

I know this is 3 years ago but he forgets to tell you about all the gas that's going to spew out and that the Chinese version the hoses don't bend to the way you're going to need them to bend it's very time consuming your best bet is to get a fully assembled fuel pump with the filter already attached

how did u get crankshaft bolt off to get lower timing cover off? impact socket? did u lock the flywheel TDC? did you reuse crankshaft bolt? o and did u use gasket maker on all the gaskets??thanks for sharing

Sounds like a lot of work for 11hp. For a car of this weight I wouldn’t think you would be able to feel the difference

LOL damn that thing is torched, used to see that a lot with old pre OBDII fuel injection, usually a bad MAF or MAP sensor or a weak fuel pump let it run to lean with no way to know until it was way to late. ECU can pull timing all it wants but a determined driver can still destroy the engine with enough perseverance.

How, how, how. Stop the "cap". Ask the (insane) driver what has he/she done. How was the car treated (and where, on the street cruising to church every sunday, or on the track)? Such failure without any symptoms (no warning signs)?

You have to have more than just the software for heavy duty.

Fuel problem may be maped wrongly. And dumb driver pushing when they had to know there was a problem.

Easy. The person driving the car ignored the engine warning on the dash. You can't help stupid!

my guess is a combination of bad fuel or supply issue causing it to run very lean, with a stupid driver pushing full throttle racing or drifting or burnouts and not stopping when the first signs of problems started
