Immense how this city changed over the years. I'm making the Phoenix 89-90-91 tracks for Assetto Corsa, and I can tell you it is SO hard to find all the references of the original buildings from back then. Take a look, progress is slow, but it's pretty cool to re-drive the Phoenix track (virtually at least): ua-cam.com/video/nZJV5Neu_4c/v-deo.html
I have seen it. You are doing a great job. It would be my dream to see Phoenix track on one of the video games. Currently I am playing Formula 1 on PS4, I made a humble simulator at my home.
Does anyone have the ESPN opening tease from the 1989 Phoenix Grand Prix? It featured a cowboy-looking fellow in a ‘57 Chevy convertible being passed by a Williams F1 car on what was supposed to be a country road. Harley Cluxton was in the Williams and I was in the ‘57 Chevy . . .
Seems like only a few years ago this was on TV, but seeing this now is a reminder of how long ago it really was. So much change, and I'll bet you're the only person in any of these cars with any clue about the F1 races. Wonder if we'll be watching the long forgotten Miami circuit in 2054?
Hard to believe that I live here and drove past the actual layout before
Thanks for this great video! I was there. First f1 race. Senna blew me away. Great sounding revs to 19k echoing through town. Amazing

At the time there was very little interest in Formula 1 in Phoenix. It was foreign sport to most people here in Arizona.
It's even more bigger now in 2022. So much construction
