The first huge lie the Church has submitted to is the "leyenda negra" or black legend against the Spanish Catholic Empire.

This priest James Mawdsley is a former traditionalist priest from the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter (this Tridentine Latin Mass group is in union with the Pope). He was ordained a priest in 2016. He left his order and his priestly ministry has been suspended and in fact he is a schismatic now not in full communion with the Church, whether he thinks he is or not. He obviously doesn’t understand mystical language and concepts as expressed by many mystics in the history of the Church. In the video which I have only watched the beginning so far, he says he hopes Luisa and Hannibal di Francia are in heaven. He deliberately does not refer to Hannibal as a Saint. That he questions whether two people who have been affirmed in their sanctity by the Church, may not be in Heaven, is very worrying as he is referring to a canonised saint in regards to Hannibal di Francia and a servant of God in regards to Luisa. If St Hannibal had promoted a spirituality that was demonic or evil he would never had been approved by the Church and beatified and canonised. This priest comes from a political background and has no specialty in mystical theology that I can see and obviously is just giving his personal opinion, which in no way reflects authentic Catholic theology or mystical theology. I think that his opinions are discredited by him being under suspension of his priestly faculties. He may be sincere but due to him putting his own ideology of what a Catholic is foremost, has led him to disobedience to his own order and to the Church. The true demonic or satanic is rooted in the sins of pride and disobedience- “I will not serve”. I don’t have the energy at this time to do a detailed rebuttal of his video but may do some time in the future. I thank the two ladies who brought this to my attention. Let us pray for this suspended priest in Divine Will so that he can repent and give his fiat to the Divine Will rather than his own selfish human will. People are very gullible who believe any thing by this suspended priest- He is obviously ignorant of mystical and nuptial theology and its language of allegory, metaphor and hyperbole with its Eucharistic, sacramental and incarnational focus. To interpret a mystical term as the same as its ontological term is a great error. If any one is demonic in their approach, it is the one who is full of pride and disobedience to his superiors and says “I will not serve” and puts his own ideological understanding of Catholicism above the authentic teachings of the Church. The concept of mystical kissing and suckling found in Luisa’s writings is in accord with the mystical interpretation found in Scripture especially in the Song of Songs as expressed in both Catholic and Jewish mystical theology and traditions based on Scripture. Everything is pure to the pure in heart as taught in Scripture and affirmed by St Therese of Lisieux. Those who try to see these mystical nuptial iconic representations of deep mysteries in a mundane and literalistic manner of corporeality have dirty and polluted minds, that then transfer their own perverted perspective on to these holy mysteries and experiences of the mystics and dirty them with the filth from their own minds. In the Anglo-sphere Church in particular there has been an infusion of English and American Puritanism and French and Irish Jansenism which leads many to an extreme form of moralism, wowserism and a false piety that is more Puritan than Catholic. The passionate mysticism of Italian and Spanish mystics make many in the Anglo-sphere countries uncomfortable with their more natural, affectionate, romantic use of language and their use of hyperbole to demonstrate that enthusiastic and mystical ardour they have for Jesus. The concept of suckling on the Divine Milk and the Divine Blood is Marian and Eucharistic. Suckling or drinking on the divine milk refers to Torah and to the Divine Word. Luisa, like all authentic mystics, tries with the limited use of human language to explain their mystical experiences to others, which experiences are beyond full understanding. These descriptions are iconic representation of intimacies with the Divine that are beyond human ken. St John Paul II uses this theology of the Body approach to ascend from the human concepts to the Divine Mysteries of intimacy with the Godhead.
