I never understood why people think that. How could she be just one from the many? If Jesus was perfect as a man how could his mother be not perfect as a women. And if any women is good for the job why not chose a women who already had children, maybe someone from the Julio-Claudian dynasty.

I love listening to Fr Mawdsley he has such wisdom on our catholic faith it’s simply awesome .
You can't learn the wisdom like this. The beauty about this is, when you listen to his words and you love Jesus, Mary, Josef and Saints, every word coming from this priest mouth make so much sense in your brain and is connecting all dots of knowledge about the good and evil, about God and Satan and the evolution of creation between the God's supreme plan for his creation and Satan's constant attempt of destruction of God's plan and Humanity.

Anthony, what u said about us not changing and still doing the same bad things is so true, and it points out the great error of Vat II: Gaudiem et Spes as well as Pope John’s opening address were ridiculously naive and optimistic, saying “modern man” is now ready to seek God and everything is different now, so we need a new religion that is not “negative”. Absurd.

Hi Fr Mawdsley. Firstly, thank you for your inspiring work. At 0.20 you described Catholics' sins as their own. Can one sometimes or ever attribute some part of the responsibility for a sin to somebody/something else apart from oneself? Or is it always 100% one's own fault? In the case of a downward spiral of addiction to a bad habit (where the media or secular world is promoting the behaviour as benign - such as pornography), could we discern any mitigating circumstances which would reduce the guiltiness of the committer? Any insights you can provide would be appreciated.
Those who lead my little ones astray and cause them to stumble... It would be better to have a millstone tied around their neck . We have blame for our sins but the ones who deliberately led us astray have the greater sin if I'm reading scripture correctly. In any case, whether greater or lesser they certainly bear Great blame. Let's not let them off the hook too easy just to stay on UA-cam.

However I still would like to understand, in our modern world, where temptation I would say is much greater than in times past, normalization of sinful behaviour is promoted and social pressure is applied, is our personal blame for certain of our sins reduced in some degree because of these external factors?
@@jturon9184 Well, God is just and can see into our hearts better than we can. I can only change my ways, try to make amends or penance, and pray for mercy. I imagine our being led astray and so on would be a mitigating factor in our defense, but I doubt it's a simple formula, and Not a get out of jail free card. I guess the church has addressed this issue at some point. But addressing the issue specifically in our modern age, The New order Vatican seems too unreliable. I reckon Fr Mawdsley could shed more light.
According to Our Lady at La Sallette, women and children would do penance for the sins of the men who worked on Sundays and profaned Our Lord's name.

Pretty sure it's in The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit by E M J0nes. There's a whole chapter on Arius.
If anyone has other sources I would be glad to hear of them. Meanwhile, it is mentioned by William Thomas Walsh in "Philip II" (1987), p.240.
