For a wonderful description of the devil as "a chained dog", who cannot bite us unless we are doltish enough to wander into his reach, here is a passage from one of St Augustine's sermons:
"Christ therefore came, and bound the devil. But some man will say: If he is bound, why is he still so powerful? It is quite true, my dearly beloved brethren, that he is very powerful but his lordship is over the lukewarm and the careless, and such as fear not God in truth. He is chained up like a dog, and can only bite those who are such suicidal fools as to go within the length of his tether. Look you, my brethren, what a dolt a man must be who getteth himself bitten by a dog that is chained up. Let not the desires and lusts of the world draw thee within reach of him, and he will not be able to get at thee. He can bark, he can whine but he can only bite those who are willing to be bitten. He assaileth us, not by violence, but by persuasion he asketh, not seizeth, our consent. David, then, came, and found the Jewish people set in battle array against the devil and since there was no one who dared to go to single combat, he, who was a type of Christ, sallied out to the battle, took his staff in his hand, and went forth against Goliath. In him was a shadow of a substance which is in Christ. St Augustine draws our attention several times to the mention of David's "staff". Why did he take such a simple weapon? Because it symbolises the Cross of Christ -- "And [David] took his staff, which he had always in his hands." (1 Sam 17:40)

I just wanted to pass on some info to you that you might find troubling coming from another Catholic priest, namely Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi who happens to be a writer with 5 degrees, an exorcist, and a PHD.(OH BOY!!!) I believe your presentation of The True Faith is awesome and EASY to understand due to your ability to take something of such depth regarding The Holy Bible and Faith, and present it to us in a manner we can understand (speaking for myself).
Anyway, what I wanted to pass on to you and hopefully get a response from you is this:
I came across a podcast wherein Fr/Dr!. Iannuzzi was asked the question about the existence of ALIENS on other planets. To my surprize he said YES and even quoted St. Padre Pio as telling another person the same years ago. Fr. Iannuzzi said St. Padre Pio answered the question asked him by saying to the effect: "Do you think God cannot create other beings on other planets?" Iannuzzi even said in this podcast that even EXORCISTS agree there are "other beings" other than demons possessing people!!!!!! He said exorcists have seen solid beings, not having spiritual bodies like demons, exit the possessed person during the exorcism!!!! Well, Fr. Mawdsley, last time I checked, demons can take on human or animal form and I have seen it!!! What do you think? You can search it on UA-cam because that's where it is...He also said these "beings" are not good, due to departing when the Name of Jesus is invoked! Again, aren't only Satan and the demons terrified at the Name of Jesus?!?
Just to let you know since I started listening to what you have to say, I believe God has set you aside with incredible gifts and an ability to speak TRUTH, which, other than yourself and Fr. Isaac Mary Relyea (who happens to also be named James), I find SEVERELY lacking in the majority of priests who seem to have an endless supply of DOUBTFUL information to pass on to the the masses, which compounds the CONFUSION of "WHAT IS THE TRUTH IN THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH"!?!?!?!?!

You’re basically spot-on. It’s not as though exorcists are infallible or can’t be wrong or misled. Seemingly corporeal beings are just demons gathering a bunch of random particles together and refracting light to appear to people and make it seem like a real being. All the alien stuff is demonic.

Throughout history, the Church had prayers against and Saints and theologians wrote about the “demons of the air.” People have been observing air ships throughout history as well. Remember that while being non-corporeal, purely spiritual beings, angels and demons can manipulate matter in various ways such as refracting light or gathering particles together into something solid to resemble something or someone real. Angels appeared visually and audibly to people all over the Bible to give them God’s message. I suppose for demons, it’s a way of imitating and mocking the incarnation and the ex nihilo creation of God.
It doesn’t take long looking through the UFOlogy community to see that it’s thoroughly new age, gnostic, and occultic in varying ways and degrees. Many of their theories talk of how aliens long ago actually manipulated our DNA to essentially create us. If “aliens” ever make a formal or public appearance here in the near future, it would be part of a demonic deception to try and tell humanity that they’ve been here all along and that they created us, essentially destroying revealed religions, especially the Catholic Church.
It’s the kind of deception that the Antichrist would use to deceive and control the masses.

I know some will point out that the vastness of the universe bespeaks of the glory of God, or reveals something of the superabundance, or even extravagance of His self-giving (Deus totaliter aliter, etc.). Still, the brute fact of the universe as we know it remains an important stumbling block for me. In any case, I have to agree with Fr Mawdsley. There is no room for extraterrestrials in the Biblical worldview.

Your points are good ones, may I add another one or two? 1. most people who talk about alien bodies being found or seen always anthropomorphize them, they have eyes, heads, hands, etc. Why would an alien just happen to end up in human form when it was created in some other part of the cosmos. That seems convenient. 2. doesn't it seem odd to people that just when the world is falling apart politically, oops, here come the aliens. Hearing Div Will is a "movement" tells me it is something passing through for the moment. There lies a prob for me, because Jesus (not in my understanding) is not passing through. I'm going to be the outlier here, so I need to first identify myself as a Traditional Catholic.
I should also mention that I do not care about this issue one way or another.
Now, I know this video sounds very intelligent, and Fr. Mawdsley is a very intelligent priest, but this can be shot through with so many holes it could be made of Seiss cheese.
First, let's take on that argument that aliens must be more advanced than us. Never mind that there could be alien trees, cats, and dogs. Alien does not equal intelligent or advanced.
But even of they were a million years more advanced, it doesn't mean they would make themselves known. Why would they bother doing that? Do you know what Earth would look like to them? How many of you this evening would go on skid row of a major inner city and make contact with the residents there? I'm not talking a missionary assignment. I'm talking just going there yourself.
Earth would be the backwaters of the Universe to them. Why would they want to come here and get involved in its politics? They would stay away BECAUAE they are intelligent and advanced.
As for them then needing other Christ's, no, that does not mean that at all. Christ is Lord of creation and there are undoubtedly many mysteries about both Him and it that He has not revealed to us.
I could go on with many of the arguments here but that one that they would make themselves known to us always takes the cake. They would show themselves to be ignorant and stupid if they did that. Of course rhey are going to be silent to us. That's what intelligent beings would be. They would say...Earth? Uh, uh. Just do your science in some out if the way place, maybe visit one or two of the locals, but that's it. Forget their leaders; they're crazy.
Sorry, I mean nondisrespect, but this argument that if aliens existed they would have landed on the White House lawn is so incredibly myopic. No, if intelligent aliens existed they WOULDNT land on the White House lawn, they wouldn't respond to any of our probes because they wouldn't want to, and they would conduct only very limited science in small, surgical ways, which is in line with what is reported from any alleged encounter.
No, if they do exist and are intelligent, they will stay away from Earth politics and society. If they did show up and announce themselves, it would prove only one thing--that they are stupid beyond imagination.
There is a problem here of logic. "The vast majority of sheep are white, therefore all sheep are white". Error. There are black sheep, however statistically rarer. The carnivore example does not therefore stand, dear father.
If you watch the whole video, you should notice the carnivore example pertains to the argument from empirical science, which by definition relies on extrapolating from a limited sample size to assert truths about the whole. There is no error of logic, but one should understand the methodology of empirical science. The more we discover about planet earth, the more we find how it is suited to life, where previously we thought it were not. The more we discover about space, the more reasons we find why it is uninhabitable, where previously we imagined there might be life. Therefore the trend of empirical findings is stacked against there being aliens. (Albeit, as the video acknowledges, our sample size so far is very small.)
The argument from logic is that if we accept the premise that life emerged thanks to blind forces (rather than a Creator), then we can expect to find ourselves -- by the same law of averages -- in the median band of the bell curve of this development. To posit that in this vast universe we are at the extreme upper end (and hence others are not developed enough to have made themselves known to us), stretches the laws of probability beyond credibility. It is not to say it is statistically impossible, but raises the eyebrow higher than the forehead can accommodate.
