A fair assumption is that there are no Traditional Catholics following this Devotion. The Novus Ordo does not offer enough in itself, many folks who are devout and want more from the Faith turn to these sort of supplements.
Faustina said the same stuff about herself! That she is Jesus' favourite. As to why people follow the "Divine Will" devotion: For the same reason they're attached to "Divine Mercy" Deception, which got fake approval. Jesus is merciful, but that is the trick to follow the fake saint and the overemphasis on mercy without a heart, without eyes meeting yours in original picture, and using rosary, often supplanting it in people's prayers.

I think, sister Faustinas work can never be seen apart from the teachings of JESUS in the Bible. If she was sended by GOD, then only because there was maybe not enought compassion within the catholic clergy tought. But JESUS wanted us to believe in HIS compassion for us. Maybe HE felt, that catholics was treated to strict by there Priests and was maybe threaten to often with hell, HE felt, HE MUST AGAIN mention about HIS compassion for us. But we must not forget, that justic will also remain. I feel, if we understand JESUS in this way, it might be good, to remember Sister Faustina and the picture of the MERCIFUL JESUS and the prayers. I remember my childhood was full of beatings around the catholic church and there was no day left, my mother told me, I will definitly go to hell. If I would have known the Picture of the MERCIFUL JESUS, it would have been very helpfull for my siblings and me. Finaly also foe our mother.
Thank you for sharing this. About a year ago, I ordered a book about the "Divine Will", presuming that it was simply about accepting God's will for our lives. After reading some of it, I realized that it was weird and heterodox. So, I simply threw it into the trash and didn't give it another thought. I am grateful that someone has taken the time to carefully explain the problems with these writings in detail.
I had the same experience. Bought the book Divine Will book years ago after listening to a promotional video by Daniel O'Connor. I found it so disturbing and crass that I tossed it in the trash bin. Picarretta's writings read more like a soft porn romance novel than the writings of a holy mystic. Her back story has huge gaps in it and lots of unanswered questions regarding her family/caregivers and her personal decision to confine her healthy body to her bed so she can be a victim soul. She was able bodied yet relied on others to care for her while she stayed in her bed. That's not holiness.
Thank you for taking so much of your time researching the Divine Will. I had been drawn to the devotion by the dream of a new era in the divine will. However, like many, I found reading the original source too daunting because there is so much to read. I depended on the secondary apologists' books. When I heard the weird vision you first presented in video one, I was disgusted -- just as you said many would be. This second video not only debunks heresy in the writing but greatly helped me understand the concept of free will and the eternally unique human nature. I found the idea of praying the rounds very New Age pagan. That had me put the brakes on the practices and prepared me well to hear your message. I suspect your videos will reach many like myself who were on the fence and unsure about the divine will movement. I'm sure all your time and effort will save souls,

You can know it’s a cult when respondents use thought stoppers, “You are from the devil!”; “You haven’t read all 10000 pages so you can’t have an opinion.”; “Xyz theologians have approved her writings.” “Padre Pio! “Her Prophesies came true!” All these stop phrases prohibit thoughtful dialogue.

Just the other day I saw fit to comment, politely and respectfully I might add, on a claim in a major youtube Luisa P channel that their devotion is problematic and that we’re not to expect the Kingdom of God on earth but in heaven wherein the proprietor of the channel told me I was “calling Jesus Christ a liar.” That was only the beginning and in any case I found it telling.
@@piemouth1 I've found that many of the Picarretta devotees give as much weight to Picarretta's writings as they do to Scripture. Luisa's "Jesus" is clearly not the Jesus of Scripture yet they hitch their salvation the the words of Luisa's Jesus.

I was shocked to see that this devotion was so popular online. Not just laity, but priests and other religious too. I would not say I'm a particularly holy person, I certainly have my struggles that I'm still working through, but I've always had a good intuition when it comes to things to avoid and this divine will devotion gave me an uncomfortable feeling that I couldn't quite shake.
It's terrible how so many Catholic YT "influencers" are refuting this rational message. The fact that they are so intensely passionate and in an uproar in her defense, this dangerous direction, is scary and telling...leading and causing so many to stay on this false path. They have extra responsibility and culpability.
Sadly, this gives me great pause and reconsideration to other prophesies and people (including some holy Priests) they promote and support. We can't stay attached to any person/message/prophesy/channel. Good lesson.

I almost fell for this devotion as it´s promoters don´t care to share these things and reading 10 000 pages of her diaries is above me. I went to listen to Daniel O´Connor´s refutation of your points. He gave no substance, no facts only personal attacks calling everyone who criticizes him and this devotion a demon. I see this now over and over and over. You give facts, people who promote this just attack personally never addressing the issues. It´s a no brainer. Either address the issues or drop it and walk away. Yelling at people won´t do any good. Also I am really disappointed - if you are sincere and find out the disturbing things your favourite teacher said or did you just drop it and walk away. Re your point that people who do not follow the Divine Will are on the outside / not saved, similar was said by Daniel O'Connor in his refutation of your previous video. He stated that if we do not accept the mystics of the last century then we are blaspheming the Holy Spirit. 😕 I have a copy of The Hours of the Passion which I began reading prior to finding your videos. Independently I had found the writing repellent. Glad to have found your videos which give me confidence to believe my instincts. O'Connor needs our prayers. It will be hard to let go of a subject one has devoted so much effort to, but by his own manner of presentation and its lack of substance it is clear he is a long way down a wrong path and somewhat angered by the intrusion into the veracity of his work.
I had a friend who went mental after following the DW. I know a priest who worked in the CDF who told me, "It is an evil movement". Nothing else to state.
Pray often for holy wisdom, clarity and understanding for holy knowledge and for the Holy Spirit to guide direct and inspire us. Pray that we can tell the difference between truth and lies. Ask for Mary’s help for Jesus to guide us.

Very good people have been deceived by these writings. Keep in mind Fr Mawdsley has taken the heretical parts out of a very large number of writings so for those who follow the devotion they likely did not give these things much thought as a lot of the writings have no error. But that’s how Satan works. He gives 99% truth but the 1% lie does the damage
I think many of those who follow this false devotion haven't read all of Luisa's writings. Instead they've taken the words and books of those who make money off of promoting it. They only know the parts of Luisa's writings that aren't heretical. Those making money off of promoting this false devotion do not, of course, include the problematic writings of Picarretta in their videos or books. Lies of omission.
My eyebrows shot up at the words, "Second Holy Trinity." Hard pass. IMO, the "Jesus" character speaks so uncharacteristically from how He spoke in the Gospels. I can't see Sr. Lucy, Francisco or Bernadette "receiving" this kind of message from Jesus.... about a *New Order* in Heaven? Nope. Not gonna happen. The biggest problem there is that LSN legitimized them by meeting with them and allowing those folks to publicize them. These men are in disobedience to their Superior who told them not to publicize them.
This is a charitable response with the tenor of a good shepherd. Fr approaches this subject just hitting on his findings and why they are detrimental to our soul. DR O'Connor on the other hand dwells on ad hominem attacks of God's priest as well as chastising those who like Fr Maudsley's videos. Daniel O'Connor is not a doctor (no Ph.D. ) nor a professor. He is an adjunct instructor at a community college. This is pertinent because seeks to persuade via an argument from authority, insisting on his expert knowledge of theology and Piccarreta's writings. Yes, he denigrates Fr. Mawdseley, as he denigrates all who disagree with him, be they a Vatican cardinal or the entire national conference of Korean bishops.

Thank you, Father. I followed this devotion for 3 years. Many people have invested a lot of effort and time in this, though, and it will take a great act of humility to say I was wrong. I hope those who partake in this with the right intentions will find God's mercy. I feel sorry for Luisa she was a holy women, I hope she is in heaven. I recommend the 'Little Way' of St Therese for those who are leaving the DW.
Always struck me as odd that these people try to connect this with the Our Father, but only ever say "living in the divine will." The Divine Will isn't something to be "lived in," it's something to be "done" Words matter.

Divine revelation ended with the death of the last apostle. Anyone claiming this to be a public divine revelation is fundamentally misguided. Listening to Luisa does not mean you are listening to Christ. We are not mormons. This is not a new revelation
The thing is I watched Daniel's video after Fr. Mawdsley's last video and he didn't actually refute anything that Fr. Mawsdsley said. If you DW people want to convince us this isn't a demonic deception, then you have to present actual arguments that evidence why Fr. Mawdsley is wrong, and not just launch _ad hominems_ against him.

So on the face of it that's such a preposterous, bad faith response that it if really has the receipts, proving that Fr. Mawdsley is just making things up about the DW, then Mr. O'Connor is doing the devotion a grave disservice by taking such a tact, as he's just creating doubt in people of good will who are willing to listen to him. In this video, he only make assertions that Fr. Mawdsley misrepresented the text. That's a not a refutation, only a starkly, naked assertion. He doesn't go in to specifics of the text and provide any reasoning as to why Fr. Mawdsley's reading is in error. He simply states by fiat that Fr. Mawdsley is, in fact, in error. In addition to this, he grotesquely mis-characterizes the nature of Fr. Mawdsley’s criticism, for example, where he directly states that Fr. Mawdsley's "condemning Luisa's writings because they advocate for the virtue of obedience." No reasonable person could come to that conclusion about the nature of Fr. Mawdsley's criticisms. Now, I'll concede I didn't watch his whole previous video because I kept skipping ahead to find those refutations you promise are really there, and so maybe I actually did just miss them all-hard to believe because I did end up watching the majority of the video, but perhaps that’s what actually happened. I just read that book 2 weeks ago and offered it to a friend who attends DW meetings to try and show him that the Divine Will was lived by the apostles and saints all throughout Church history and therefore Luisa Piccaretas writings are not needed to understand anything new. St Alphonsus Ligouri has left nothing out. What a powerful book.
My will is to do the will of the father, grossly summarized. 2 distinct wills, neither are cast out. And our will is perfected through the sacraments of the church. One great act of our will pursuing God's will. Thank you for this video Fr. Mawdsley. There is great clarity.
I think we need a cleansing and blessing prayer after listening to this. So obviously this woman was spiritually abused by a bad spirit preying on her ego to be"seperated from the flock" and to be "special." " Deliver us from evil" is a good prayer.

This was an extraordinarily well done presentation that encompasses the most dangerous aspect of this devotion: the hope of a false messianic kingdom other than the one inaugurated by our Lord at Calvary. The kabbalah uses the system of the sephiroth ("tree of life") to accomplish the messianic return to Eden. It states: The sefirot are described as channels of divine creative life force or consciousness through which the unknowable divine essence is revealed to mankind. The first sefirah, Keter (Crown or Corona) describes the divine superconscious Will that is beyond conscious intellect. The lowest sepirah, Malkuth, correspondends to earthly immanence that must be conformed to the superconcious Divine Will before paradise can be achieved.

This is a great scandal of major proportions...I don't know how to begin..how very good priests , Theologians and religious orders have propagates this devotion For years and years, we the laity trusted them..we thought Divine Will writings were Divinely inspired..I had gotten some books ..I have to go to confession. I discarded everything at once .and Father believe me many Traditionalist laity follow this heresy
Because she was being told a lot of truth then mixed with confusion. Many give the benefit of the doubt so not to offend God and looked the other way. Plus the sheer volume of work can be overwhelming. She herself seemed frightened at times. God's will has been mistrude many times. Especially by Muhammad, Mormons, and many guru movements.
It is very sad to see that some of the most notorious defender of this here in YT did not seemed to stop and think for a moment about these errors. At this point, continuing to defend this "devotion" is to fight the known truth, which is a grave sin. I have to wonder why the Blessed Mother has never mentioned Divine Will in her visitations to others. Only to this one lady Luisa?? In the most difficult times, the Blessed Mother still encourages prayer, penance, fasting and rosary in all her other visitations. A fair assumption is that there are no Traditional Catholics following this Devotion. The Novus Ordo does not offer enough in itself, many folks who are devout and want more from the Faith turn to these sort of supplements.
Faustina said the same stuff about herself! That she is Jesus' favourite. As to why people follow the "Divine Will" devotion: For the same reason they're attached to "Divine Mercy" Deception, which got fake approval. Jesus is merciful, but that is the trick to follow the fake saint and the overemphasis on mercy without a heart, without eyes meeting yours in original picture, and using rosary, often supplanting it in people's prayers.

Thank you for sharing this. About a year ago, I ordered a book about the "Divine Will", presuming that it was simply about accepting God's will for our lives. After reading some of it, I realized that it was weird and heterodox. So, I simply threw it into the trash and didn't give it another thought. I am grateful that someone has taken the time to carefully explain the problems with these writings in detail.
I had the same experience. Bought the book Divine Will book years ago after listening to a promotional video by Daniel O'Connor. I found it so disturbing and crass that I tossed it in the trash bin. Picarretta's writings read more like a soft porn romance novel than the writings of a holy mystic. Her back story has huge gaps in it and lots of unanswered questions regarding her family/caregivers and her personal decision to confine her healthy body to her bed so she can be a victim soul. She was able bodied yet relied on others to care for her while she stayed in her bed. That's not holiness.

However, like many, I found reading the original source too daunting because there is so much to read. I depended on the secondary apologists' books. When I heard the weird vision you first presented in video one, I was disgusted -- just as you said many would be. This second video not only debunks heresy in the writing but greatly helped me understand the concept of free will and the eternally unique human nature. I found the idea of praying the rounds very New Age pagan. That had me put the brakes on the practices and prepared me well to hear your message. I suspect your videos will reach many like myself who were on the fence and unsure about the divine will movement. I'm sure all your time and effort will save souls,

Just the other day I saw fit to comment, politely and respectfully I might add, on a claim in a major youtube Luisa P channel that their devotion is problematic and that we’re not to expect the Kingdom of God on earth but in heaven wherein the proprietor of the channel told me I was “calling Jesus Christ a liar.” That was only the beginning and in any case I found it telling.

I was shocked to see that this devotion was so popular online. Not just laity, but priests and other religious too. I would not say I'm a particularly holy person, I certainly have my struggles that I'm still working through, but I've always had a good intuition when it comes to things to avoid and this divine will devotion gave me an uncomfortable feeling that I couldn't quite shake.

O'Connor needs our prayers. It will be hard to let go of a subject one has devoted so much effort to, but by his own manner of presentation and its lack of substance it is clear he is a long way down a wrong path and somewhat angered by the intrusion into the veracity of his work.

Keep in mind Fr Mawdsley has taken the heretical parts out of a very large number of writings so for those who follow the devotion they likely did not give these things much thought as a lot of the writings have no error. This is a charitable response with the tenor of a good shepherd. Fr approaches this subject just hitting on his findings and why they are detrimental to our soul. DR O'Connor on the other hand dwells on ad hominem attacks of God's priest as well as chastising those who like Fr Maudsley's videos. I find this troubling and not a Christian approach, more like gaslighting and shaming those who disagree with him. We can disagree in charity!!!
Daniel O'Connor is not a doctor (no Ph.D. ) nor a professor. He is an adjunct instructor at a community college. This is pertinent because seeks to persuade via an argument from authority, insisting on his expert knowledge of theology and Piccarreta's writings. Yes, he denigrates Fr. Mawdseley, as he denigrates all who disagree with him, be they a Vatican cardinal or the entire national conference of Korean bishops.

Thank you, Father. I followed this devotion for 3 years. Many people have invested a lot of effort and time in this, though, and it will take a great act of humility to say I was wrong. I hope those who partake in this with the right intentions will find God's mercy. I feel sorry for Luisa she was a holy women, I hope she is in heaven. I recommend the 'Little Way' of St Therese for those who are leaving the DW.
Always struck me as odd that these people try to connect this with the Our Father, but only ever say "living in the divine will." The Divine Will isn't something to be "lived in," it's something to be "done"

I read many of the comments before he deleted them, and most of the ones he had issues with were actually reasonable attempts to hold him accountable. So on the face of it that's such a preposterous, bad faith response that it if really has the receipts, proving that Fr. Mawdsley is just making things up about the DW, then Mr. O'Connor is doing the devotion a grave disservice by taking such a tact, as he's just creating doubt in people of good will who are willing to listen to him.
In this video, he only make assertions that Fr. Mawdsley misrepresented the text. That's a not a refutation, only a starkly, naked assertion. He doesn't go in to specifics of the text and provide any reasoning as to why Fr. Mawdsley's reading is in error. He simply states by fiat that Fr. Mawdsley is, in fact, in error. In addition to this, he grotesquely mis-characterizes the nature of Fr. Mawdsley’s criticism, for example, where he directly states that Fr. Mawdsley's "condemning Luisa's writings because they advocate for the virtue of obedience." No reasonable person could come to that conclusion about the nature of Fr. Mawdsley's criticisms.
Now, I'll concede I didn't watch his whole previous video because I kept skipping ahead to find those refutations you promise are really there, and so maybe I actually did just miss them all-hard to believe because I did end up watching the majority of the video, but perhaps that’s what actually happened. In which case would you provide the time stamps so I could hear them so to evaluate their cogency for myself?

I just read that book 2 weeks ago and offered it to a friend who attends DW meetings to try and show him that the Divine Will was lived by the apostles and saints all throughout Church history and therefore Luisa Piccaretas writings are not needed to understand anything new. St Alphonsus Ligouri has left nothing out. What a powerful book.

I have to wonder why the Blessed Mother has never mentioned Divine Will in her visitations to others. Only to this one lady Luisa??
