Dual-wield Pistol Outlander gameplay in Tarroch's Tomb (NG+3 Elite)

Probably one of the most requested Outlander builds on this channel. As some of you may know, I am not a fan of "auto-attack" builds in Torchlight 2. Damage-wise, they just don't scale well towards the late-game. So if I was going to make a "dual pistol" Outlander, it's going to be a skill-based spelltrigger build instead.
Wielding dual pistols means the Outlander is going to be a glass cannon, and won't have access to the god-level passive that is Shotgonne Mastery with its Blind effect. But we make up for it by stacking both pistols with the best spelltrigger gems in the game. Offense is indeed the best defense.
In the early game, feel free to use 3 levels of Rapid Fire. When Shadowshot becomes available, reclaim those 3 points from Rapid Fire, and re-allocate them into Shadowshot. There's a skill respec NPC in every town that does that. Please note that the NPC only reclaims the 3 most recent points allocated. Use this limitation wisely and strategically.
Once you unlock Venomous Hail at level 42, it'll become your main offensive skill. Venomous Hail is about as overpowered as the Engineer's Emberquake and the Berserker's Wolfpack. It is a must-have for every Outlander build.
It's also important to have Long Range Mastery maxed. It extends the pistol's basic attack range to 13 meters. Now you may wonder, what's the benefit of extending the range of basic attacks if this isn't an "auto-attack" build? The answer is "life and mana steal effects". You need to have the pistol's basic attack range match Shadowshot's range so that your character can manasteal at that same distance when you run out of mana spamming Shadowshot.
As for Akimbo, I left it out completely because the damage increase doesn't scale well in the late game. It's pretty unremarkable. Plus, Execute is worthless to a non-autoattack build.
Bramble Wall is perfect for this build. It's sole purpose is to be destroyed. You cast Venomous Hail on the Bramble Walls to trigger Poison Burst. This combo allows you to deal massive splash damage on groups of monsters. It becomes even more potent with the Glacial Spike spell-triggers on your weapon.
Another weird thing to note is that Venomous Hail destroying Bramble Wall triggers health and mana steal effects. You'll notice it in this video whenever I'm low on mana. I'll cast Bramble Wall on an enemy, follow it up with Venomous Hail, and then you'll see the Outlander gain back some Mana.
Repulsion Hex and Stone Pact helps this glass cannon build survive better in combat.
Some of you may choose Rapid Fire over Shadowshot, and that's perfectly fine. I just happen to like Shadowshot more. In my opinion, the homing projectiles of Shadowshot just makes it so convenient to use when clearing a room of low-health critters. It's also got the longest range compared to Rapid Fire and Chaos Burst.
Overall, this was a fun build to play. But I wouldn't recommend it to new players. The dual pistol Outlander is heavily gear-dependent both on weapons and armor.

I always liked Flame Hammer way more than Emberquake for the simple fact that... You can't spam the latter with Dervish.

hello, im new to the game, where do your mana regen come from? i have to pop tons of mana potions so I must allocate my left click to auto atack
What requirements should I fulfill to beat Tarroch tomb? How many health, damaged, etc. should I have? And what NG level is better to try from?

I just notice something, why not have Elemental Attunement level up too because of how it works well with wand chaos?
IIRC, Shattering Glaive was THE single most powerful skill of the entire game. I mean, only at lategame/endgame, and compared with other characters with the same stats. The SHATTERER was just too OP, even compared to stuff like Wolfpack, Prismatic Bolt, and Flame Hammer.
Is this a grinding level section for the original game?? Where can I find it?

I like the Embermage, cannot seem to get into playing the Outlander and the Engineer feels too clunky. Never tried a Berserker so might just try this build.

Hi. Yes, this build is for the base game without mods. You can do this on your PS5. Prismatic Bolt Embermage is relatively easy to build and it levels up quickly, especially once you unlock Death's Bounty.
@@cyclingcmdr oh i mean can i get your stat without mods and dupes. And the biggest problem is farm 12 Limoani skull and gold. How can i farm many gold quiqly. Or how dupe items on ps5?

Hi. This was my very first Embermage. I discovered the joy of Death's Bounty "late" in the game, and so I didn't have enough extra points to raise it to 15. If I could redo this build, I would absolutely max it out.

I'd probably take 5 points off Prismatic Bolt. I feel level 10 is the sweet spot in terms of damage output and mana cost, i.e. it's easier to sustain/spam in battle.

Play with Savage Rush (all in Focus & good damage staff) until Wolfpack, that way is easier than Storm Hatchet way. Bosses are joke to Savage Rush, mobs too exept ranged archers and such, but you'll get Ice Shield for that.
new to the game can I ask why do you leave 188 skill points unallocated?
