It's amazing how many builds you have posted so far. I'd love to hear more about your thought process while leveling a new character and what you prioritize in terms of items both offensive and defensive. You ever thought about posting a leveling guide? Love the content in the channel. Keep it up!

another build so soon... ecxelent! i tried this in my first game in torchlight 2, and and well... it didn't work out very well for me (mainly because I did an autoattack build due to the little knowledge I had of the game at that time) it did almost no damage in the early and mid game until I unlocked the venomous hail. I'm interested to see how you build your gun-oriented character. It sure will be hilarious to watch and play.

good video again, outlander with dual pistol was my first build in the game, and boy did i have a hard time trying to kill bosses with it in the early game, we have almost the same skill set, only i maxed Akimbo. Now a question: do the staves convert physical damage into elemental? that is, for example: I have a staff that deals 400-600 ice damage and an engineer with 1000 attack points, will all that physical damage be converted into ice damage? if so, it works with abilities that depend on having a weapon equipped. such as eviscerate?

I tried this badass build and that was more fun that I expected. My build was slighty different to more auto attack version. Liberation ring , dominators belt, apshix helm and with dispatch pistol to have more than 20m reach. I am still missing hand of Orlac. Absolutely no chance of getting this bad boy. I tried the boon trick and get the Asphix from there. Please how do you obtain yours? I tried so many gamblings, map works, Tarochs tomb runs but still no chance. And which skulls/other sockets do you prefer If I will have 3 slots for free...Anyway thanks so much for your videos. You are a boss!

I'd tweak this one just a touch, to emphasize the "cast on hit" benefits from dual wielding. That's the main benefit of going for dual pistols, so why not build the build around that?
    1. Bramble Wall -> 1. This is a strong situational ability but you aren't going to want to use it for the poison damage so you only need the 1 point.
    2. Stone Pact -> 10. Stone Pact is fine, but you won't need it as much if you have enough steal life/mana on hit, which is worth it for dual wielders.
    3. Repulsion Hex -> 5. It's a good enough skill, but you don't need to overdo it to get enough benefit from it.
With the points you've reclaimed, do the following:
    1. Rune Vault -> 10. This allows Rune Vault to trigger your weapon effects.
    2. Rapid Fire -> 15. I've confirmed that it will proc some on hit spell triggers like Glacial Spike (thought it does not seem to proc life/mana steal), and the reduction to armor is great for boosting damage.

Why would you take rapid fire when you're speccing into shadowshot? You'll end up with 2 "main" skills then which makes no sense!
I'm trying this build out now and gonna follow his guide seeing as what is shown in the video looks powerful enough to kill everything but yes I know it's gear dependant too so ima hope I get decent gear.

I generally like having two mouse button skills, one for clearing big groups of monsters and one for general purposes, and swapping between them as needed. Shadow Shot (or alternatively Chaos Burst) is good at clearing rooms full of monsters, while Rapid Fire is good at dealing with bosses and champions. That being said, Rapid Fire is ALSO a bit of an aoe attack if you position yourself the right way and get the mobs into a line, so you make a fair point! I can see Rapid Fire being your main, and largely only, damage skill.
And so, you can drop Shadow Shot from the build too, and use it to pick up something like 15/15 Akimbo instead. Akimbo is basically filler for those last 15 points since execution isn't really all that strong, but it fits the theme and will get some usage if you plan on twin pistols anyways. Another strong option would be Cursed Daggers - pistol users are still going to have enough Focus to make this spell worthwhile, and it is a powerful opener you can toss out to weaken foes before unloading with Rapid Fire.
There's an argument that Shadow Shot can get higher damage than Rapid Fire for Gunlanders (because the splinter bullets can loop back around to hit the main target again), but that is a very situational setup involving shooting at a single mob without any adds and using knockback to push the mob back into the splinters (in short, it requires almost ideal conditions that rarely actually happen to work out that way), and Shadow Shot has some limitations that I do not care for - namely, it is one of the spells that must be targeted on an enemy, which can be a pain when you want to just "spray and pray" while running and gunning in a boss arena. The splinters from Shadow Shot also do not trigger on weapon hit effects, which is really at the heart of this build, while Rapid Fire can and will see those effects triggering constantly. Nothing will destroy enemies faster than dropping several Glacial Spikes on their faces in under a few seconds.

@@stewartgames6697 ok so that makes more sense, I play on PS5 which makes it little harder with key bindings but I've just swapped my points that I dumped into shadowshot into rapid fire and already can see a difference in DMG but bear in mind I'm still only very low lvl as just started so I'll see how rapid fire works with the rest of the original skills mentioned in the build with your suggestions too.

Hi guys. I did address the Chaos Burst vs Shadowshot vs Rapid Fire debate in the video description:
"Some of you may choose Rapid Fire over Shadowshot, and that's perfectly fine. I just happen to like Shadowshot more. In my opinion, the homing projectiles of Shadowshot just makes it so convenient to use when clearing a room of low-health critters. It's also got the longest range compared to Rapid Fire and Chaos Burst."
Basically, with end-game weapons/stats Shadowshot is the most convenient to use in my opinion because of its range.
The two "main skills" of this build are Venomous Hail and Shadowshot. Venomous Hail outclasses Rapid Fire, Shadowshot, and Chaos Burst by a mile. It's not even close, damage-wise.
As for Bramble Wall, having 1 or 5 points is enough. That's what I did in my other builds published on this channel.
Stone Pact at 10 is fine too. I did that in my other build as well. Same with Repulsion Hex at 5.
This build frees up so many skill points that it allows the player to tweak it to their own liking.

Hey I have a couple questions.
    1. In the stats section where it shows X + X = xx is the first X where you're spending points and the second X is what you're getting from your gear?
    2. You say this isn't for beginners would you advise going for your shotgun build instead then?

    • @cyclingcmdr
      @cyclingcmdr Рік тому +1

Hi. You are correct, X+X is the base stats + stats from gear. I do recommend the Shotgonne build for new players because it's not as gear-dependent as this build. You only need a good shotgonne. Plus, the blind from Shotgonne Mastery helps tremendously.
