- Savage Rush Berserker gameplay in Level 105 Mapworks (NG+2 Veteran)
My second character in Torchlight 2 is a 'Wolfpack Berserker' with Savage Rush maxed out just for fun.
Savage Rush damage has 2 components:
1. "Instant" damage that is a percentage of 'Weapon Damage' (not DPS)
2. Physical Damage Over Time (DoT)
In this video, I focused on increasing the "instant" damage of Savage Rush, hence my Berserker wields a two-handed Greathammer.

what tree did you start from start and do you recommend putting points into passives until the right abilities are available
I started from the Tundra skill tree. In the early game, getting Storm Hatchet, Ice Shield, and Shred Armor is very important. They were my main skills for levelling before I unlocked Wolfpack. Dumping unused points into passives while waiting to unlock other active skills is a good strategy. Don't worry about running out of skill points. It's never happened to me.

For berserker, what weapons would you say works the best in general? Im tempted to go fists for speed, but not sure if its the safest for soloing.
Hi. The best weapons in my opinion are those that trigger spells with every attack. A good example is the Hammer of Retribution. It's a mace that triggers Glacial Spike every time you strike a foe. Some weapons or skulls can trigger Meteor Strike, Thunder, and Lightning among others.
@@cyclingcmdr I see your point, this helps out a lot cause I feel indecisive when it comes to weapon options, but I want to make the most of the berserker's gauge bonus. Does the triggered spell also gain that critical hit if the gauge is maxed out?

Get your Strength to 100 as early as possible, and don't worry about finding the best equipment just yet. You can get by with any armor. But try to find good weapons. Decent weapons will make your playthrough much more enjoyable.
Is that the latest version of the game?
Torchlight 2 is an old game. It's no longer being updated. So yes, it is the latest version of the game. But a sequel (Torchlight 3) recently came out though. It's drastically different from Torchlight 2.
what are you putting your stat points into. I dont think I saw that in the link
For this build, since this isn't my first character, I put half into Strength and half into Focus.
If you're just starting out, getting Strength to 100 as early as possible is a good strategy. Also, you may add points into Vitality and Dexterity if you find equipment that have specific stat requirements.

Battle standard plus savage rush equals unlimited mana recovery and you are invincible whilst destroying enemies.
Good in theory but I bet savage rush disables regen to stop exploits like this.

Hi. Mana regen does work with Savage Rush. So it's indeed possible to spam Savage Rush in battle or when exploring an area. It does not make the Berserker invincible tho, and so you still have to be very careful when rushing into a crowd of monsters.

Onslaught engineer though with slam jam playing is very humorous fun.
Just dunking on opponents.
@@thevashfan12392 Yeah, Onslaught is quite a potent skill. It's very efficient at both dealing damage and gaining charge.

Holy crap I remember when this game came out and it was already a bad ripoff of GW2 and now it looks just as cartoony and crappy as ever. Sheeeeeeesh.
