i still comeback to this game same with diablo 2. they both nailed the pacing of the ARPG genre. fast but still slow enough to understand what's happening on the screen. if only path of exile was like this and not epilepsy inducing christmas light fest.
Yeah, D2 and TL2 are timeless classics that I don't think I'll ever get tired of playing from time to time. As for Path of Exile, I keep hearing about it, but I have yet to take the plunge.
And let's not forget cartoonish graphics that never get old which is very smart move and the animation that comes with those graphics. In other arpg games I have a feeling that the characters are plastic and weightless, in Torchlight on the other hand the way your character moves, uses skills it looks so natural it makes the game so much more pleasant to play. And then there are those juicy crits. The only thing that this game is missing is some more depth in character development (something like devotions in Grim Dawn for example), but the rest is all here, excellent graphics and animation, manually assigned attributes (you wanna focus+wand+some elemental damage skill on engineer you can go for it and it will work), no class restrictions for items which is great (ok ok there are some uniques and set items that are class restricted, but those are exceptions). Overall it's definitely the most fun to play hack n' slash to this day.
Hello dude. I know you haven't been making video for Torchlight 2 but I just recently played the game. I have questions. How do you gain 1000 k strength and what spells did you take for your character?
Hi. Thanks for dropping by. To get 1000 Strength I had to find good gear that boost Strength. I also had them enchanted by Borris the Stout, the best enchanter in the game. As for spells I have Concentration VI, Blocking VI, Skeleton VI, and Animal Handling VI equipped. My pet on the other hand has Animal Handling VI, Skeleton IV, Skeleton V, and Skeleton VI equipped.
the sword can be obtained from suddered battlefield in act 3.Go to the northwest area (Gravedeep area) of the map to check if the Notch's Mine cave is present.if not exit the game press lan option create game and select reroll world option and check again until you find the cave.just a warning there are 4 type of swords inside the chest in the cave so you might not find iron sword from the first time.
hey, from the first skill tree nothing worth picking up maybe siesmic slam only from second im fine with anything but bulwark is way too OP to leave it its must for summoner engineer on 15 lv from last switch tremor to dynamo field u easily stack max charges and forcefield became really powerful, stat points all in Vitality, and glyph for better blocking, and only thing u need to do is increase pet damage with gems and spam spider mines what scales with level of character, you will have so high damage and way better defense so then u dont need any damage spells, you became walking juggernaut , optimal block is 75% and 25% dodge
Yep, you are correct. I'm familiar with that build. That's a defense-oriented pure summoner engineer. But for this build, I wanted a different approach. As mentioned in the video description, I wanted this Engineer to be offense-oriented and to have an active participation in battle. Skipping Dynamo Field was intentional. I specifically don't want this build to spam Dynamo Field. I have other ways of gaining charge - via Onslaught and Charge Domination. This engineer's equipment also provides 74% block and 74% damage reduction, which means Bulwark is no longer necessary.
Hi. My stats allocation is mostly Strength-based. At higher levels, the skill Forcefield can soak up heaps of damage from the enemy. If you combine that with a good shield with high block chance like Parma's Coal Burner, then you wouldn't need to invest points into Vitality for HP.
For engineers, the Emberquake build and the Summoner build are great beginner builds. For Berserkers, it's the Ravager build. Prismatic Bolt build for Embermages, and Glaivelander build for Outlanders.
@@cyclingcmdr thanks for you answer bro i just try your outlander hybrid summoner build leveling is really hard for me but thanks anyway keep up your good work bro!
@@gnptldr If this is your first character, then it's really going to be tough dealing with bosses in the early game. I suggest going through all the side quests and dungeons to increase your levels before facing the story bosses.
Hi. That is correct. This build is not a heavy charge user. If it gains and uses charge, then great. Otherwise, it will still continue to be effective in supporting its minions who do the majority of the fighting.
Hey @Cycling CMDR I was wondering how you go about getting you 9% cast speed enchants? I see you using it on a lot of your characters and that’s my only issue with trying to replicate any of your builds. Are you using mods?
Hi. It looks like it, but I'm not using mods. What I'm using is the Sweet-Aide potion trick, which is readily available in the vanilla version of the game. The Sweet-Aide potion can be obtained from the witch Cacklespit in Act 3. If you watch the show Rick and Morty, the trick is kind of like the "time saver device" that Rick gave to Morty in the Vat of Acid episode. To use this trick, there are 4 steps: 1. Before attempting to enchant an item, save the game first. 2. Enchant your item. 3. If you don't like what you get, drink the potion, and then Click "Go Back to Main Menu". (Don't choose the respawn options.) 4. Reload the game. You'll see that your item is back to its previous state. Rinse and repeat.

Hi. To get the minion bonus from Skulls of Umbarmun, you have to slot it into any piece of armor. If you slot it into a weapon, you get mana steal instead.
Hi. You are correct. The level of skull drops scale with the level of enemies/maps. This means that Limoany skulls can only be farmed in NG+. It won't drop in higher NG++s.
Hello cycling loving the builds you have here. Only have one question, what mods are you using for this run? Always wanted to try the summoning route for engineers.
Hi. Thank you for dropping by. I don't use mods in these playthroughs. However, I do use the Sweet-Aide (available in Act 3) potion trick to improve quality of life in-game.
Hi. I am starting this game again. My previous playthrough is almost the same as yours I can't remember if it is a offensive or defensive summoning engineer build. I had stopped playing and plan to go back again. What skills and weapons do you suggest at the early stages of the game? I remember having the difficulty for the first 6 hours on the Elite Hardcore Difficulty until I had unlocked the Spider Mines skill and from there it became a breeze. Any other tips would be appreciated. Stat distribution per level would also be nice.
Update: I just finished the game on Elite HC difficulty on my Summoner Engineer and currently at level 53. I plan to build the same gear as yours. What do you suggest I will do next? Should I do Mapworks or straight to New Game Plus? or build another character for farming?

@Schroedz Thank you for the feedback. I hope to publish more content this year. My laptop died about six months ago, so that kind of threw a wrench at my plans. Still trying to figure things out.
@Daniel Iturrino In the early game, I focused on getting Strength to 100 as soon as possible. It allowed me to equip higher level weapons early on. The engineer is a very defense-oriented class. Forcefield and Healbot can help you soak up damage from enemies. You really don't need dodge % for this build. But having dex is till quite useful for its critical damage boost. Raising vit is definitely a good idea for this build. Vitality increases your block chance when using a shield. Raising vit to 100 is enough once you acquire the Parma's Coal-Burner shield. Raise focus last. Feel free to experiment with your skill build. There's enough skill points to go around. I have no experience using shock grenade tho, and so I have no opinion on the matter.
How do you even get this far in elite, since i cant skill reset i cant really use skills it feels like. Ive just been basic attacking and cant even get far
There's an NPC in town that resets the last 3 skill points you've invested. You can use it to get the skill that you need. I know it's tough in the beginning. But it gets easier as you progress through the Acts. You can farm good gear in the phase beast challenge "Avoid the Lava" in Act 3.
Hi. Two reasons: 1) Flame Hammer is readily available at level 1, which makes it a great starting skill for new players. 2) An Emberquake build doesn't really need Summons. Emberquake is too OP that it'll render the damage output from summoned minions irrelevant and obsolete. But yeah, feel free to build an Emberquake-Summoner engineer. Emberquake is better in every single way.
Hi. I showed the base stats at 8:10 . Strength is 264, Focus is 175, Dex is 5, Vit is 15. My stats are distributed that way because I already have access to good equipment. If this is going to be your first character, I would recommend raising Vitality to at least 100 to increase your block chance when equipping shields.
