  • Frozen Tundra Ice Berserker gameplay in Tarroch's Tomb (NG+ Elite)
    If you liked this content, please consider subscribing to this channel. I post Torchlight II builds that are both effective and fun.
    I've finally maxed out my second Berserker build, the Ice Berserker. Also known as the Tundra Zerker, this build utilizes a combination of ice-based attacks to obliterate its foes.
    Storm Hatchet and Northern Rage are the bread-and-butter of this build. They're great skills to have in the early-game and will carry you through multiple instances of New Game Plus.
    Permafrost and Savage Rush both take care of trash mobs, and complement the damage output of Northern Rage. I always cast Permafrost before nuking things with Northern Rage or Glacial Shatter.
    Savage Rush is an underrated skill. Most builds I see online only have 1 point invested in it. I always max Savage Rush in all my Berserker builds. It's a fun skill to have, and is also quite potent in terms of damage. What's not to like?
    I also see Tundrazerker builds that skip Glacial Shatter entirely. It may not be as OP as the Outlander's Venomous Hail, but Glacial Shatter has the Blindness effect built into it. This makes it a great AoE debuff and nuke.
    Compared to Northern Rage, Glacial Shatter is the safer skill to use against boss monsters that have the potential to one-shot you. It ensures boss monsters are permanently blinded for the whole duration of the fight. This leaves them absolutely helpless, allowing you to farm them up for easy wins.
    This perma-blind effect can be seen towards the end of the video. The final 4 bosses were just stuck there doing nothing, unable to see and attack my Tundra Berserker.
    Iceshield is a must-have for all berserker builds. It's just a super-effective defensive skill to have. Howl is another no-brainer. It's an AoE debuff with a huge range, and it boosts your damage output as well. Howl is definitely better than Frost Breath, or Battle Rage for that matter.
    As for the passives, I have Coldsteel Mastery maxed out, and Frenzy Mastery at level 11. The default 6-second Frenzy time is just too short for me, and so I extended it to 10+ seconds for convenience's sake.
    Shatter Storm, Blood Hunger, and Rampage are decent one-point wonders. I do have Rampage at level 4 for that extra 11% proc chance.
    I had so much fun playing this build. If you're looking for an easy grind in Torchlight 2, this is one of them. Having access to Storm Hatchet and Northern Rage early on makes this an easier early- to mid-game grind than the Wolfpack Berserker.

    I am a new player and would like your opinion on the following changes to your build: Frenzy Mastery (1/15), Rampage (1/15), Cold Steel Mastery (13/15), and Wolf Shade (15/15). Everything else is the same as yours. Would this be an improvement to the build (damage and/or sustain)?

    • @cyclingcmdr
      @cyclingcmdr  Рік тому +2

      Yeah, that looks good. Wolf Shade is a really nice skill to have. I, too, am currently working on a build that takes advantage of it.
      As for Frenzy Mastery, you can leave it at level zero. The base duration of the Berserker's Frenzy state is 6 seconds. Putting 1 point on Frenzy Mastery only adds 0.5 seconds to the base 6 seconds.

    I like the Embermage, cannot seem to get into playing the Outlander and the Engineer feels too clunky.
    Never tried a Berserker so might just try this build.

    can u tell me how to relocate the stat points on beggining when just starting, btw nice build

      Raise your Strength to 100 as soon as possible. After that, raise your other stats based on the stat requirements of equipment that you want to use.

    Hey I just started and I'm wandering: is all your equipement considered "perfect" regarding to its stats? Why no full uniques but rare gear as well?
    I think I have a lot to learn

    • @cyclingcmdr
      @cyclingcmdr  3 роки тому +2

      Some rare gear have better stats than unique items. That is why you see a good mix of unique and rare equipment on this character.
      But if you only want the "ultimate" unique armor set for this class, it's the level 105 Draketalon Set, four of which are on this character.

    out of context, where is the best place to farm uniques around level 85 and 92 to complete Celestials and Asphyx set ?

    • @cyclingcmdr
      @cyclingcmdr  3 роки тому +1

      To be honest, I don't know the best place to farm these sets. I, too, have not completed them yet. I found the Hand of Olrac in NG+ Tarroch's Tomb. Some parts of the Celestial set, I found in Mapworks and Tarroch's Tomb, as well as the gambler NPC in Zeryphesh.

    just wonder how to level up fast QAQ

    • @cyclingcmdr
      @cyclingcmdr  3 роки тому

      One way to level up fast is to play in Easy or Normal mode. Another way is to play overpowered builds like the Emberquake Engineer or the Prismatic Bolt Embermage.

    Hit level 20 and no idea what im doing wrong. The build is super squishy and weak. I'm DWing two very fast swords and barely do any damage. I use howl and 1 storm hatchet and im OOM. I'm drinking every second because it just rapidly depeletes my mana. If I dont use HOWL, then storm hatchet barely does any damage. I have no idea how you're able to spam all these skills. I assume this build is garbage if you dont have the absolute best gear?

    • @cyclingcmdr
      @cyclingcmdr  2 роки тому +1

      Hi. You are correct to a certain extent. Of the three Berserker builds, it does take more effort to make the Frost Berserker viable in higher difficulties. However, the mana requirements of these builds remain exorbitantly high in the late game. Any berserker build needs mana recovery gear to sustain their skill usage.
      In the early game, pick up all embers that drop from enemies and use them to craft Void Embers that boost mana regen. The Transmuter NPC in town does the crafting.
      At level 20, most classes will be squishy and weak regardless of build. If this is your first character, I suggest investing skill points in Shadow Burst to help you recover some of your health during battle. You can also use it as an escape skill.
      You may also put more points into Blood Hunger passive if you like, though I don't recommend it. As soon as you hit level 21, get Savage Rush and keep it at level 1. It's main purpose is to help you escape tight situations.
      To boost Storm Hatchet's damage, raise your Strength to 100 as soon as possible, and look out for unique weapon drops from enemies you slay. The early game can be quite challenging, but it'll get easier.

      @@cyclingcmdr Ok, I fixed it. My issue is I found the Cern Nightmare but, it's only 1086 dmg compared to yours. I ended up giving in and farming the dev room. It was taking for goddamn ever to do the lava room for no reward.

    • @cyclingcmdr

      Cerulean Nightmare is quite good even at low levels. You got good RNG. Legendary items are quite rare. I never got one during my first playthrough.

      @cyclingcmdr  2 роки тому

      Hi. It may look like it, but I do not use console. If you read my comments in my videos, you'll know that the only "trick" I use is the Sweet-Aide potion trick. I even wrote a breakdown on how to use it. It's quite a potent item, which is why I always recommend players to acquire it in Act 3.
