Nice finds. I have been at it for years and just recently convinced myself that arrowheads were used for cutting through roots to dig and move dirt. I think they also used them to plant also. They only hunted when needed and there is too many of them to just be used for hunting. They will cut through roots pretty easy in the woods.

When it comes to Daltons Beaver lakes Clovis or any other Paleo period points I don't care about a little ding in the point, naturally I would prefer them whole but they are just so old and rare that I keep every one of them and they go in the case, i don't do that with the other ones that I find but there is just something special about the Paleo period and it's people that just amazes me more than anything else

You know, I believe that the ancient people of America chose their material for their arrowheads as.much for their beauty as they did for functional purposes. Even where I live in North Carolina, there is not very much in color to choose from but the Clovis people chose some of the best material that I have ever seen and some of it is still not known where it came from. I have found and seen Clovis points in a wide variety of colors and they are made from material just not seen in other types of points. What you are finding out there are some very beautiful material points that I think were chosen for their color as much as for function. What is your opinion on this subject ?

Broken or not, that second Paleo piece is still a good case worthy point. Paleo period points are very hard to come by and every one of them are worth saving and putting in your collection. People I know who have hunted arrowheads for years and have never found a Paleo period point. I have been extremely lucky in my life hunting because I have found a Clovis site with 3 complete Clovis points and several knives and tools, and I have found a couple of Clovis points as single finds, plus I have found Daltons Beaver lakes and Hardaways in my years of hunting but I believe that the rarest point of all for North Carolina was a Simpson point I found a couple years ago in southern N.C. they are usually a deep south type and not usually found as far north as N.C. but keep up the hunting bro, you are finding some great examples of stone age man in the U S A

I am a 63 year old man and have been hunting arrowheads since I was a kid and I have found so many heartbreakers that I have filled up the front of my house at my wife's flower bed with broken arrowheads. They made me sick when I found them broke but they look good in the flower bed and I still put them in there to this day because it seems like I find dozens broken for every whole one that I find

Hard to find native artifacts in ontario. My dad used to find them in fields after plowing in Kent County outside of detroit
