I would like to one day build a small museum and have my whole collection on display. It's was my pleasure to share with the community. And trust me, I'm still flabbergasted what had happened.

It's funny that you brought up the lightning comment because that's exactly what I thought after I found the second one. I'm surely blessed and thankful for the recoveries myself when I first saw them I said to myself I didn't even want to touch them they look too damn good laying there. Wow… some amazing relics!! Those axe heads were incredible… All the HISTORY that is right under our feet… Very cool… Congrats on the finds.
Artifact hunting is something else- the creek that I've been to thousands of times and grew up by I've only ever found 2 arrowheads in. You can go just down the road to a field and find many, really awesome how you can tell where ancient native tribes settled and moved to.
There are several things to take in consideration when trying to find a campsite. But the best and simplest thing to look for is drinking water relatively close that is also an area relatively easy to hunt animals and to set up a camp somewhat protect you from weather elements
They definitely find us sometimes lol how I found my first after weeks and countless hours and miles!!
So true! Just this Sunday I was walking fairly quick through an area that never produces anything and BAM. To my right and how I saw it, beats me, but there it was. A nice stem point barely visible. Like I was sent right to that spot!

People have no idea the amount of joy you can get for free just by patiently walking and looking down. Every time I find one of those “Big Ticket Items” I have to do like you did and contemplate my good fortune for awhile before I can even touch it. It’s an emotional hit that most folks would never understand, and man is it sweet. Congratulations and keep looking down

The sound that happens when it clinks against your ring, the color, and the glassiness makes me believe that both of them are made of coral. You can find points here in Florida that are made of agatized coral that look just like this material. Really sweet finds, and yes, finds of a lifetime.

Those finds are absolutely amazing, If I ever head over to the USA forget Disney world I'm just going to find a creek in the back of Idaho or Ohio or somewhere and look for arrow points and axe heads. Awesome!

Those are missippian adzes made of kaolin chert from illinois. Exceptional finds. The last one is folded off the poll but is still awesome. I bet there’s alot of Burlington Cahokia points and tools in that wash.

Son of a Bisquit! Those adze/celts are finds of a lifetime, my brother! Congratulations and thank you for taking us along with you. That point at 5 min, 30 secs, I'd wager was a broken paleo that was picked up hundreds or thousands of years later and had the base reworked.
I believe you're right about that point. Flaking screams old! I'm tickled pink about the 2 celts!!

I'd roam around that area until I was crazy. This may have been a trading point or site that was left abandoned by a tribe. Who knows but I'd be tearing those grounds up for a coupledays. Well done!
I believe it's was also some type of small camp that may have dealt with trade.

The large one is complete. And the small one has a very very small ding as you can see on the bit. And it's actually polished at the break so it was used after it broke.

@@thereaper4396 no sweet! The smaller ends of each one usually will have the actual cortex, like these, from the outer part of the stone. A lot of Mississippian flint celts/adzes were made this way.

You revive the ancient toolmaker in me! I have found native tools from childhood, most not arrowheads. I tried knapping as a 12 year old and studied and practiced in my 20's until i could make small blades. I still have a portmanteau of antler, leather, copper rods, obsidian, and artifacts, I think I will bring home from storage to reconnect with the ancestors. Thank you.
