  • If you're not searching for arrowheads, you're not finding arrowheads! Seems that simple? By no means is it as easy as it appears in video. Hours of walking with the head down are a typical occurrence. Times it'll take several searches to come out ahead successfully. But at the end of the day, it's the passion to find artifacts. It's the thrill of discovering something once forgotten. It's the LOVE of knowing that all that hard work and countless hours of knee deep in water, mud from head to toe, and back bending searching will eventually lead you to the path of success. So I'll keep SEARCHING for ARROWHEADS until my legs give out! Arrowhead Hunting in Missouri. #arrowheadhunting #missouriarrowheadhunting #artifacthunting #missouri #ancient #stonetools #nativeamericanartifacts

    .The reward was very good my friend. Sometimes they are days of great fatigue and little reward, but with a piece that you find makes you happy and you return again with the hope of having several moments of triumph and joy in the findings. Here in the desert your eyes burn after several hours of sun, your feet get hot and the time comes when you have to rest. Vipers, thirst and not getting lost are the main enemies to defeat. But arrowheads are in your blood and you come back again to spend moments of complete happiness when you find something beautiful. Greetings and blessings to my friend.

      The struggle is real. Sometimes I feel as if the conditions here are worse than a desert! The humidity is ridiculous sometimes. Add the countless insects swarming the face, several venomous creatures, including small numbers of bears and mountain lions. Then your left with poison ivy, ticks, and can't forget the meth heads! When you think you finally conquered summer....winter rolls in!!
      Take care friend. Nice chatting with you

      That's key to success. Having the ability to distinguish markings left by man on a stone. Also keeping in mind certain colors that stand out from the typical gravel.

      @@PtownRockhound yup, just like when I found my corner tang. Walked over to the kid to look at an agate he found. He was standing right next to it and I just happened to look back as I walked back to my side of the rock bar and just happened to see it.

    The search must continue! I'm relatively new to arrowhead hunting and have been struggling to find good places. In Northern Kentucky/Ohio area but been walking the same Indiana creek I drive to every day this week and found my first (broke 😢) paleo there!

    • @PtownRockhound
      @PtownRockhound  Рік тому +1

      Location is key to success. Your in a great area. Anywhere along the Ohio River is great. Find springs and creeks that connect. And high ground or some type of rock structure for camps. That should get a general feel for things. Good luck and thanks for being a part of this channel!!

      Facts💯 some will come up to me asking how it's so easy for me. And failed to realize I go days sometimes weeks without finding anything when I do go. And when you see small Clips put together to make a video it appears as if they're just laying around easily found.

    Think last 1 is Adena
    Ryolite 1 is benton
    The etly style is pentaganol Afton or Jack's Reef

    • @PtownRockhound
      @PtownRockhound  Рік тому

      That style of contracting stem point always gets confused with Adenas! Gary poi ts are typical for my area. Rhyolite one I believe is an Etley. That area is loaded with them and Benton points are more in line for Tenn or KY. That's were the other 2 came from, same area.
