Wow man , just got a few minutes to watch your video, man you are on fire wow , very very nice start to the new year ! Congratulations on all ! 19:46 thanks for sharing
Prone. I “dig” your videos. Your excitement and enthusiasm. Been artifact hunting in the Midwest for 50 years. The 300th or the one thousandth completed find is as exciting as the first one. Yes? I appreciate that 5:30 you often thank the great spirits. Yes, never give up. The next smoker is often after you wonder why the hell you’ve been looking at your feet for 5 hours. Keep up the good work and cleanly edit videos.
You're absolutely right about your last statement. There have been so many times where I question myself. Why i'm doing this for several hours and not finding anything. Then, all of a sudden, they're it lies.
It's been hanging out with me the last few days! Even took it with me last night to work, so when I was on break, I could look at it. Yeah, I'm a little weird 😜
Wow! I've been hunting a Clovis for going on 60 years. Found a broken one and the next day found the other half and that's the ONLY one I've found here in Texas. Got tons of others but that my friend is the Holy Grail. Congratulations!

That eccentric is such a little gem. Never have I found one until then. One can only hope that the year stays on the right track. Until then...take care and enjoy every moment possible.
Recovering a Clovis really put things in perspective at this site. To know someone roamed that area so long ago made me want to travel back in time to that very moment the Clovis was lost or abandoned.

Your words hit home. And couldn't be closer to the truth. A lot don't realize or care to know the time spent. It's a hobby...yes. But some do it out of passion. Gratz on that early Clovis!! Can't beat that.. fluted on both sides and has that sweet leaf curve to it.. an early early form as well with a repaired impact fracture!! Tons of character to it!
I'm both impressed and envious of your awesome finds of 2023. I can't believe a clovis and an eccentric. I did archaeology in Belize. One of the excavators, working on a temple, found 23 eccentrics. I didn't know they existed anywhere else. The pottery rimsherd is an excellent dating device. Carry on my friend. I also like your knowledge sharing. So many arrowhead hunters are ignorant of what they're finding.
I appreciate you stopping by and giving my video a look. Thanks and feel free to stick around. I'm always looking for artifacts so videos are usually on a regular!
Wow!! I love your creek! Wished I had one🤔 your finds are awesome and thank you for sharing. Congratulations on the Clovis such a beautiful point and the blunted point also a very wonderful find. Keep saving them and take care.
Overall awesome round of finds, huge congrats on the Clovis, welcome to the elusive club, I’ve been fortunate to find a few, a damaged one made from obsidian which was dated and restored, keep on em 😎😎😎
Great discovery on the Clovis, a great example of the type. Those others pieces aren’t bad either. Your going to have a hard time topping that Clovis this year, something to look forward to👍🏻
Yes, you started the year on a very good note. Let's hope the year gets better and better. There were some great points - Adena is very nice and quite large, Eccentric is very nice , and the Clovis are all either the year's best, or in the case of the Clovis, maybe a lifetime best. But maybe and hopefully not. The other points are not bad, either, including the knife near the end.
I appreciate your analysis. Love hearing what others thought. The year has just begun. Now, if Mother Nature cooperates, I should do okay, I think. Till next time, have a wonderful Sunday.
Damn dude!! what a group of killers in this video! Obviously the Clovis is simply amazing. That was badass when you flipped it over to see double wide flutes. Crazy to think a point could over shadow that big Waubesa you found. That last Dickson was such a sweet insitu too! Definitely starting the year off with a bang!
I thought the same thing. That Waubesa was looking like it was gonna be hard to beat for a while, then bam! I'm beyond thrilled finding the Clovis. Hopefully, 23 has more to come.
You really know how to put a video together plus put yourself in places where your can find those old pieces! Just a little envious of your Clovis find! A huge congratulations man!
Thank you so much. I'm so blessed and so honored. I know I say it all the time... But that's truly how I feel. Take care. Hope 2023 is awesome as well for you.
The spots are slowing down. I hit it so hard last year in some areas that the spots need a serious flood to do anything. Time will tell. Artifact Super Finder...has a nice ring to it! Thanks!
Excellent video Ptown. I’m amazed at how calm you were when that Clovis came out. I’m 64and have hunted for 49 years now. I still turn into a little kid when I find a good one. You’re on fire, but you put the time In and that’s what it takes. I took a friend to a secret creek in the Texas panhandle back in 1980’s and he found a perfect Clovis. I have 1 Clovis base. But I kind of have hunted casually for a long time now. Seeing you find this Clovis has me ready to pursue access to an area where paleo are possible. I’ve tried to get permission without success but I’m going to try again here in NM where I’ve lived for the last 40 years. Note: I’ve on looked on line at artifact sites for 3 years. Before then I had no idea what people were finding. Thanks for sharing.
I wish you luck on your recent pursuit. Arrowhead hunting is such a passion for me. And know others are the same way. Hopefully, you score permission and can keep at it. And next time. Rock on Rockhound ❤️
Holy hell you did it again! Love the work you’re putting in to your videos, really keeps the audience engaged. You’re making my dad and I itch to get back in the creeks so we planned to hit em up next weekend. Hoping we can pull some smokers like last time you motivated us! Great video as always and keep finding the dandies!
Man, that's rediculous brother, that was a good video without the clovis, thats like a cherry on top. A sincere congrats man, thats cool to hold ten thousand years in your hand. I found the base to a double fluted clovis last winter, woulda been a beaut.
Brother I’m a needy man haha if I can request a comprehensive cleanup video of both paleo points in the video in some natural light I’d be very appreciative. Thanks again either way.
The funky one is an effigy stone. It has a face knapped into each side. For fun, watch the video named Amazing Artifact Collection of Charlie Wagers. Also, on the antler shed, was that nub worked to be a hook? I would love to see the pot edge laid out in the corner of an L square so we can determine the curvature and extrapolate the radius of the pot. It had to be huge.
That pottery bowl would have been huge. And I believe it's just an eccentric point. And I will look into this video you're talking about . Thanks for watching
super rock! I saw that you also found a second Clovis. u said it took u 10 yrs… I’ve been pickin up rocks for 50+ here in NE AL. found plenty quads, and a few nice Daltons, but have never found a Clovis. not sure if that’s because they’re not here, or that I just haven’t gotten lucky. great finds! congratulations!
I know how you feel sir; I enjoy making and helping other's as well 👍😃 I once helped an 93 y/o lady out here where I live and she paid me $25.00 I took it but when I got around on the passenger side of her car I tapped on the window and I gave it back to her; and she called me a bi--h and I told her it didn't call for me to be paid in money; So, she apologized for calling me a bi-- h. 😃👍
@@PtownRockhound i was hoping because i wanted to pick your brain a bit on your techniques. I'm trying to learn. I came across your video and was captivated. I cant believe the eye you have on finding these things. You could be a detective. you dont miss a thing!
I can still give you advice that goes pretty much hand-in-hand anywhere you go. Find yourself natural shelter that would be suitable for a camp. That being a rock bluff, a nice Valley tucked away from northern winds, a cave, a Spring where fresh water is because humans can't go more than 3 days without it. Find something like that and your chances will dramatically increase.
Years of watching what, where, and how things fall from the banks. Then, proceeding to use the knowledge and keen in on spots to probe around. You would be amazed how many hours and testing I do before I every am successful.

Leaf blower!!
That's on a whole new level!
@@PtownRockhound I use one on 2 creeks I hunt, lots of Oak and Shag Bark Hickory.
Man you found some great stuff! Congrats on that Clovis brother! That's something that we're all looking for! Keep on going!
Having found a Clovis was sure exciting! Hopefully, the year has more in-store.
@@PtownRockhound absolutely! Best of luck in your future endeavors!
Congratulations my friend! Find of a lifetime for sure. Plus you were blessed with a couple other killers.
2023 has been off to an absolute surprise! Thanks, my friend, for stopping by!
Wow!! I love your creek! Wished I had one🤔 your finds are awesome and thank you for sharing. Congratulations on the Clovis such a beautiful point and the blunted point also a very wonderful find. Keep saving them and take care.
I have several locations I periodically check. Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out the video.
😎👍
😁

Won't send anything but so pretty 🙂
UA-cam doesn't allow photos through comments if that is what you're trying to send.
I've looked in Central MO since 1994 and never found one so u have done well bud!
So have I👍🏻
Thanks Arron. Hopefully, you do snag one.
@Rockhunter62 I would have assumed you would have one.
Yeah not for lack of looking,I've found some dam nice points just never a Clovis,I have some but I didn't find them
@@PtownRockhound I found one in OK and a broken preform from Phelps Co. I found in a small plowed up field.
Those are some very nice finds man 🤙sounds like its gonna be a good year !
One can only hope! At the moment, I'm still reeling in the fact of what I found. The oldest artifact to date for me!
Overall awesome round of finds, huge congrats on the Clovis, welcome to the elusive club, I’ve been fortunate to find a few, a damaged one made from obsidian which was dated and restored, keep on em 😎😎😎
Hopefully, this new Creek I just landed permission yesterday pans out. Only time will tell.
Great discovery on the Clovis, a great example of the type. Those others pieces aren’t bad either. Your going to have a hard time topping that Clovis this year, something to look forward to👍🏻
Fingers crossed as I write this I just landed permission on a 175 acres
@@PtownRockhound Great👍🏻
Yes, you started the year on a very good note.
That nice of you to say. I don't blame you for being a little envious!
That was an awesome hunt man 👍
I'm glad you stopped by to witness this! Still see that you're digging and finding arrowheads. That's great to see. I hope it continues.
Dude great finds!
Thanks Josh
Congrats on the Clovis! That's nicer than any of mine; and all the points you got were well above average. Nice way to start the year!
Thank you so much. I'm so blessed and so honored. I know I say it all the time... But that's truly how I feel. Take care. Hope 2023 is awesome as well for you.
Great content. Makes me want to get out and walk some creeks.
Go! I wanna be that extra push that started something great!
You are now an artifact super finder. You must be attending the creeks on the daily. And the land you have permission to be on is AMAZING.
The spots are slowing down. I hit it so hard last year in some areas that the spots need a serious flood to do anything. Time will tell. Artifact Super Finder...has a nice ring to it! Thanks!
Congrats brother. Way to start the year!!👍🇺🇸
Big motivation booster!
Starting this year on absolute fire 🔥
Beautiful saves, cheers to you riding the rush all year. Congratulations and GL next hunt 👍
Let the good time roll!
Early paleo quad I say quad be cause a point from paleo often blunted simply is the quad great point
Could be, I guess.
You already got me all anxious lol because last time your dad pulled one smoking piece. I hope nothing but great outcome. Thanks for the nice comment.
Man, that's rediculous brother, that was a good video without the clovis, thats like a cherry on top. A sincere congrats man, thats cool to hold ten thousand years in your hand. I found the base to a double fluted clovis last winter, woulda been a beaut.
There are definitely no complaints about how the year is starting off so far. Thanks for coming by and taking a peak. I really appreciate it.
Are you in south missouri? Cause we haven’t had any rain 😢to wash out creeks since may 2022 . Great finds
The whole state of Missouri has been suffering a drought
I'd call the early type piece a Beaver lake or quad variant. I just recently found one so much like yours it's weird.
Thanks for your input. And it is wild you found a similar one!
Brother I’m a needy man haha if I can request a comprehensive cleanup video of both paleo points in the video in some natural light I’d be very appreciative. Thanks again either way.
I will keep that in my thoughts on my next video maybe I can squeeze it in somewhere
That one with all the wings was used for fishing
The funky one is an effigy stone. It has a face knapped into each side. For fun, watch the video named Amazing Artifact Collection of Charlie Wagers. Also, on the antler shed, was that nub worked to be a hook? I would love to see the pot edge laid out in the corner of an L square so we can determine the curvature and extrapolate the radius of the pot. It had to be huge.
That pottery bowl would have been huge. And I believe it's just an eccentric point. And I will look into this video you're talking about . Thanks for watching
Can you please tell me where you went to get all those celts those are very beautiful
Went for a walk in Missouri. That's about as much as I'll say on any social media platform due to bad apples.
Got real lucky during the 1st half of the year. Now we haven't had much rain, so my chances are much slimmer.
So pretty raining hard here yeah 👍 I need to get a new phone this one is getting old
Rain is a good thing!
Is the flaking oblique parallel? If so, I say beaver lake.
I don't see that type of flaking
Are you on the eastern side of the state? Do you ever do any searching around Sedalia?
Never hunted in the Sedalia area.
😁
Can you please tell me where this creek is I would love to go Arrowhead hunting there
Rigggghhht
-🤜🏼👍🏾👍🏻👍🏿👍🏼👍🏻
I’m gonna say parallel flaking, or oblique parallel flaking. It’s gonna be beaver lake
See how many times I watch your videos? I doubled up on the comments. Lol
Which one are you speaking of? The one in the thumbnail is a Clovis.
Clovis or Dalton mayb
Is PTOWN for provincetown Mass?
Nope. The "P" Has nothing to do with an actual town.
How do you know where to dig a long creek beds ?
Years of watching what, where, and how things fall from the banks. Then, proceeding to use the knowledge and keen in on spots to probe around. You would be amazed how many hours and testing I do before I every am successful.
Where are you hounding at?
MO.
