I subscribe to your channel a long time ago. Like I said before this is to me the best channel on UA-cam as far as killer stuff . Be safe brother and keep pulling them out
I really do appreciate that support and generosity.
im 15 and ive only been arrowhead hunting for almost 1 year and i found a 13,000 year old clovis on a public waterway
That's awesome to hear! Keep at it!
@@slipperystainlessit’s a federal rule, illegal everywhere in the USA unfortunately.
@swamptosoundadventures8337 that law should be changed in a way that still protects archeological sites but allows people to take things that are disturbed away from original context. There is a lot of history that is lost because of the way federal laws are. If they allowed the general public to keep alluvial finds, archeologists would have access to a larger amount of info. Especially helps out as archeologists don't go to creeks to find points, they focus on the sites and digs. Water way finds are to be lost forever if you don't pick them up then and there.
Federal rule? No such thing
@@PtownRockhound it’s federal law in the USA. It’s easy to google, you’ll find it on the national park service, army corp of engineers, and every other website 😂
Congratulations my friend, awesome stuff, that Clovis is crazy cool. Looking forward to seeing what you find next time. Good luck and God Bless....
Hopefully we'll get some decent rains to do something in the creeks.
crazy, my creeks have been up to much when I had a chance to go...
Killer recoveries man! Finding them oldies!
Sure could use a few more oldies!
We sure are blessed to live in missouri and As always enjoyed watching thanks for sharing and good luck on your next outdoor adventure 👍
❤️💯👌
nice finds man! I just started posting some of my finds!
I love finding points that have really nice creek color to them!
💯❤️🎯
Damn!!! Not only action packed, but super quality finds! Freaking Clovis is Killer as well as the drill.! Unreal broke at the end too!! The flaking on the broke is exceptional! Heck yeah, good stuff! Thanks for sharing
Now if it would just rain! I could be back out there gathering some more!
Whoa ! What some killers man , you know me and my comments… I love them all broke or not but that drill has to be one of the top three I’ve seen in my old ass life ! Killer, killer !!! And not to be left out .. the Clovis … enough said .. and a beaver lake ? Dang it man you definitely living right ! Thanks for sharing.
❤️ I always appreciate hearing from you! Thanks
In my opinion that drill looks like the same type of material it could be Clovis as well. 💥💥💥🔥🔥
great job,2023 is doing us well......keep it up the fun's just beginning....
Thank you so much. Sure could use this thing called rain right about now, though!
@@PtownRockhound we just had boatloads of it ,were gettin some great points, but the tics and rattlesnakes are over abundant this year to say the least
Broken or not, that second Paleo piece is still a good case worthy point. Paleo period points are very hard to come by and every one of them are worth saving and putting in your collection. People I know who have hunted arrowheads for years and have never found a Paleo period point. I have been extremely lucky in my life hunting because I have found a Clovis site with 3 complete Clovis points and several knives and tools, and I have found a couple of Clovis points as single finds, plus I have found Daltons Beaver lakes and Hardaways in my years of hunting but I believe that the rarest point of all for North Carolina was a Simpson point I found a couple years ago in southern N.C. they are usually a deep south type and not usually found as far north as N.C. but keep up the hunting bro, you are finding some great examples of stone age man in the U S A
Enjoyed the show! That Clovis....... WOW!!! Definitely in a Paleo area it seems, hope ya find some more 👍🏹
I hope so too! Thanks for stopping by!
This creek is a fantastic hot spot for artifacts! It's makin you look good man. What do you call that brownish-orange chert? It's very common in that creek.
Possibly Crowley ridge
Lol, heck yeah I'd swim for a smoker too dude, I've swam for fakers, that is the prettiest drill I've ever seen Dude, all the material you find is pretty as shit too, congratulations on another Clovis, you must have done some good shit in another life buddy, you put in the effort and you deserve it dude, Congratulations on all your finds, God Bless & GLHH!!
I love it! Absolutely love it!!

Yep, had to watch you pull that Clovis agon 😮😊
👊
Many quality creek finds, congrats on the Clovis👍🏻
Always a pleasure hearing from you!
The whole Clovis gave me chills. "Clovis points date to the Early Paleoindian period, with all known points dating from roughly 13,400-12,700 years ago" (!)
I have found 2 Clovis this year!! Beyond stoked!
Pardon me I meant to say paleo the drill could be a paleo.💥💥💥🔥🔥
That drill is a a screamer thanks for the video
Thanks for watching
Absolutely amazing finds, the clovis and the drill awesome 👌 👊😎
Now if only it would rain a decent amount of water so I can get back to what I love doing!
Congratulations !! All wonderful finds! But that Clovis wow!! Keep at them and happy hunting.

🧱🧱🧱
Nice my guy! I'd be tripping too! Killin it down south!
Dumbfounded after that Clovis!
Killer video brother, i cant believe you found another clovis, lol the one at the end defininetly would have been a screamer.
Getting lucky is becoming an occurrence! Thanks
Nice score
Thank ya
Man youre killin it! Congrats
Thanks ❤️
Nice finds 👍
👌
Bro it was a CLOVIS!!! I would have said the same thing! Congrats!
Sometimes it just slips l o l
Beautiful ancient finds. Best wishes from Lancashire, England.
Much love from across the pond, here in Missouri ♥️
I do not have much luck finding points in the water, but you are killing it!!! Love the drill and the clovis!! Congrats man!
Thanks
I been on the computer looking for a place to buy or rent up there. I getting tired of seeing you find all the Clovises! 😂 JK. Congratulations man! Incredible finds.
🤣 you got jokes! Thanks bud.
Excellent, well done mate 😎
Appreciate it!
yowza, excellent find! I am going back out as I do every weekend; had some good luck last week in Indiana, heading up to Ohio this week, hope to find something like this!
I wish you the best.
Really nice video! Awesome paleo finds! What is that oranage colored material? Kinda saw it on all your finds. The drill, the clovis and that broke with ears! Incredible! Rk.
I can't help you with information on the material. Some type of local chert I suppose. I thank you for watching though.
Great finds brother. I need to get out and look for some artifacts. Its been a while. Good hunting.
It's been a month for me which is very long.
@@PtownRockhound I go out with my buddy from Bluegrass Relics and he is almost ready to get back out.
Remember kids in Missouri there still timberwolves running around that are 6 foot long and stand 4 foot tall
We also have black bears and mountain lions! Glad to see you back!👌
Congrats on hitting 5k my man. You put out great content, and it's only up from here.
Thanks
outstanding, as usual , if you cut a car tyre innertube, you can put from the top of your boot, run up your leg, extension. can pull up as needed
I never knew!
Super congratulations!!! Your killing it this year!!! You found some killer points and great material!! I love watching.. The material where I live is crap!!!
Appreciate all the interactions and support!
hard work pays off.Iam always nerves with a point like that in my pocket
I couldn't tell you how many times I would stop just to make sure it did not fall out of my backpack.
Congratulations on a great find. Just a little tip to keep water out of your boots. Before I go into a Creek, I wrap duck tape around the top of my boots. Keeps water out, and ticks.
Just need to break down and buy another pair of hip waders. And I can't stand a tick!🤮
Beautiful points! Can't wait to find my first clovis! I have found a transitional paleo site that produces decent points at times bit no clovis yet!
Just subbed ya back!
@Ptown Rockhound hey I appreciate it!
👍
I was not aware that Missouri had Clovis points. Locally made? Trade item? Never saw a Missouri clovis point.
Clovis points can be and have been found throughout the Midwest including Missouri. I've actually found 2 so far this year. Though rare, it does happen!
They could have been locally made, that I don't know.
I live in the Ozarks I found two broke Clovis in my life hoping for a full one someday
I wish you the very best!
Long time subscriber here. Killer finds! Mind if I ask how you come up with the name Ptown Rockhound? surely you aren't in Provincetown finding all of your awesome stuff..
Ptown=Poundtown🫤
Great editing! Beautiful artifacts thanks for saving history
Appreciate the feedback!
That is a Cumberland point just after clovis
The broken one? A Cumberland in Missouri would be a very rare, almost unheard of, find. I am leaning towards a Beaver Lake type.
Saludos OG,
Another incredible film, and if it wasn't documented and shared, do you know how much less joy there would be in this world right now? Perhaps this world would be even colder, with even less lovin' going down, and less compassion....there is even a chance that this vidya might stop a crime, or inspire a kid to become a college professor when they grow up, be that special someone that has the proper venue and pulpit that actually speaks the truth gleaned from knowledge empirically gained, instead of simply teaching only what they've been allowed, that boring old story which is repeated in unison at most every university, made conform to another's ideal timeline, too convenient to just not do the work, adhere to guidelines, that given script and narrative. So....Cheers to You, Bless You, My Friend! Good Show!
Thank you for your compassionate comment.
Some of those points look freshly made 🤔⚠️⚡
Say what you like but nothing "fresh" here.
10:00 A brick just fell out of my butt. Good rescue.
🙃🤣🙃
There is a small difference between Clovis and Fulsom points, if I remember right the Fulsom has shorter flutes in the center.
Great area you are hunting.
Fulsom are also very thin and will have a flute the goes to the tip or all the way thru the tip
Actually, Folsom points-and that’s the correct spelling-are characterized by flutes that go almost all the way to the tip. Sometimes they have double-flutes going almost all the way up. 👍🏼🫡
In the south creek and river finds have a unique polish. I wonder why it isn't the same where you are?
I guess it depends on the current
Maybe it's the sandy bottoms we have
That broke one is a un-fluted Clovis.
At 19:50 could be a Cumberland because of narrow waist and partial fluting, or a beaver lake? or quad?
Yes it's in that ball park. I thought beaver lake also.
Hi bro,can you show us longer side profiles, id like to know how thick some of those points are. Cheers from Australia
There is a link to a Facebook group I help manage. You would have a better opportunity to see pictures. Thanks
Where in the world are you I have never walked a creek like that find them mostly in fields
Good Ole Missouri!
That’s where I am
Clovis was only around for about 500 years at the most
.some say only 300...that sucker is over 12,000 years old..the drill was a screamer
Thanks bud
You in the Ozarks? I'm seeing damn near duplicates of my points lol.
🤣
Where exactly in Missouri is this? I live in lower part Missouri and cant find anything because our creeks are not as sandy. Thanks!
Giving out exact locations isn't wise in this field of work.
You near springfield?
No
Quad variant at the end maybe???
It is in that ballpark. Early archaic transitional paleo, I believe.
@@PtownRockhound I agree 👍
Some advice from experience. Start your fire before going swimming
Ok?
Dude !,@ 11:24 , is that not 1 within inches of the broken tip 1!
I really hope not because it's gone by now!
My wife’s a screamer
🤣
HEY!!! STOP. save some the rest of us man
🤣
Those arrowheads are completely destroyed
How so?
Congrats on the clovis! I'm up in NE Missouri and I've never found a clovis. Great video dude.
I haven't found one in almost ten years of hunting then back to back in three months I score 2!
Dude, I'm a 69 yr old redneck and live where Tn, Ga and Alabama state lines meet. An arrowhead rich environment. Have found several over the years and inherited some more. One is a small hatchet that one of my ancestors attacked a handle to by splitting a small branch and inserting it in the notches in the stone and securing it with leather strips. Was wondering if you could/would possibly identify some of these arrowheads?
If you look on Google Earth at where the Sequatchie River enters the Tennessee River on the west Bank there were two huge Indian Mounds, yeah, they didn't build em, that were the second highest east of the Mississippi with the tallest bein Pinson Mounds near Jackson, Tn. I saw them when I was goin to college.
Sadly, many years ago the farmer who owned the land tried to doze then into the river. Maybe people were pestering him about digging there but when I asked he said "You can look all you want...where they used to be. I got tired of lookin at em and farming around em".
"Mr Martin, sir, that's bad karma". He just laughed. Month later his tractor rolled over on him and killed him.
I tried to get the head of the Cherokee tribe, uh, chief I suppose, interested in preserving them before that happened. No interest in dead Indians. His words. Plus like he said "we didn't build em". The casino had just arrived in Cherokee, N.C. so he had other things, cash, on his mind. Amazing that he even took time to meet me after I drove 4hrs to get there. Shuda called first.
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga? Not interested.
So neway, the spot has never been properly excavated. May just be mounds of shells as I live on Shellmound Rd. across the river from Nickajack Cave. My valley, The Sequatchie Valley has long history of native American occupation and even contact with DE Soto who spent enough time here looking for gold that he built a fort on an island just below Nickajack Dam. Also never excavated. During Civil War there was an important river crossing there and railroad runs/ran thru here.
Sorry, PTSD and me get carried away sometimes.
I have a few arrowheads that look like the clovis ones but don't know for sure.
Oh yeah, I also know where an important Civil War battle took place, Wheeler's Raid.....never been searched. There are cannons in the river where the crossing was. Wheeler hit a union supply train headed to Chattanooga.
Bout 10 miles below that is a cave, no one has found it again since about 1958 two teenage brothers found a blunderbuss weapon, sword and Spainish breastplate. I was 5yrs old and saw the items. They said there was more stuff but the adults couldn't find the cave. Many, including me, have searched over the years. Still virgin land but once you get there it would take another miracle to find it.
Did a soldier of DeSotos get lost or injured? The cave is not far from a spring so had water source and view of surrounding area. Maybe they were supposed to go back for him. Maybe Indians got him at the popular spring. Sneaky.
Take care, I'm dyin of cancer so doubt I'll be arrowhead hunting nemore. Hope my son's or grandkids keep the ones I have and the ton of other old stuff. Guns and shittt.
