Yes, it definitely is. You can probably do a quick 90 degree turn but linking a transition from right to left has about 90% chance of failing (at least for me). I know people will say older cars can do it without a power steering just fine but it’s just a terrible experience to slide this car with no EPS. Having them does not make you less of a man. 😂

Stock temp gauge memang tak accurate sebab dia mula bergerak selepas dah hit threshold. Waktu ni saya check guna third party app di phone sahaja tapi ada masalah connection (kadang detect, kadang tidak). Ideally untuk dapatkan aftermarket gauge. Buat masa ni, saya saving untuk upgrade cooling system dulu baru beli gauge. Bukan apa, kalau sekadar boleh monitor tapi problem temperature naik masih ada - tak berapa beneficial juga kan?

Definitely! Being able to rev higher and shift later definitely does have some ups to it too. I love the look of the person driving in another car when he’s shifting into 3rd and I’m still pulling in 2nd. 😂

The fuel consumption is definitely bad (if you're always on a budget) but having to face any other issues due to it being a rotary / an old car can be a nightmare as well. My brother drives a turbocharged GT86. It is okay for what it is. Fun and reliable - for the most part. Personally, I think there are simply too many GT86 / BRZ / FR-S on the road these days. The RX-8 is definitely a head-turner when I park at restaurants or simply drive in to a car meet hahah

@MeorHariz it's my dads mk5 I've driven it myself. Buddy has a rx8 and it sucks I drove it before and it's just so slow it's even worse as a passenger and the sad part is it's even Bridgeported

@ant1_1_ you clearly know nothing about the supra it pulls 1.1 G's around a corner the rx8 is only 0.8. The supra weighs 3300 pounds with a underrated power number which should be around 430-450 hp. 275 rear tires stock and modern suspension. Will tell you my buddies rx8 handles worse than the supra and stock vs stock it's too big of a comparison to even be compared. On coils his rx8 only pulls 0.9 g's still that's even less than a evo would pull

It’s fully custom made! It’s something I drafted up after studying all the headers and mid-pipes available in the market + people’s data in the past - and then coming up with what seems to suit me the best.

Someone with a 500HP Hellcat said the tires were grippy on rolling starts and will gain back traction at about 30MPH / 48km/h if you were to launch it. Some 300-400HP drift cars run these tires too. So the real question might be what type of driving do you intend to do when you get them cause it might be great at one thing and just decent at another.

As far as I know, the admission ticket grants you access to all of the available attractions and rides within the theme park. You may start VQ-ing for rides immediately upon entering the gate. You will have to scan your ticket entry and then scan the Skyworlds app on your mobile device to link them together (will be done at the entrance). They might have changed things a bit as the website states that everyone is only entitled to 3 free VQs. Maybe they have started charging for additional VQs now(?)

I bought mine at about RM1.2k back then. The price for it now is RM2.8k. The wheels were bought at King of Rims back in 2020. I had 2 sets and each in a different color.

My wheel spec is 15” with 7.5jj and -35 offset. Wrapped in 195/55/15 tires. Alignment setup is pretty hard to say cause it involves the ride height that I run, my dampeners setup and driving style. Hope that helps though.

@@MeorHariz I agree, I would take one over a Subaru any day. RX8 chassis are AMAZING, and the Renesis (though not as sturdy as previous Wankels by Mazda) will work fine if you keep it properly lubed and use fuel additives like redline for extra carbon cleaning and lubrication also. I used to have a 2008 and miss it all the time. It got totaled in a highway collision a few years ago.

It literally have less horsepower than a Rainier. I’d like to see you chuck your car through turns on the touge and see if it’s faster than an RX-8 though. These cars are not built for the straights.

It takes guts to acknowledge that and I respect you for that. Jokes aside, knowing how to take care of one as well as having some mechanical skills will go a long way in owning any rotary cars.

Nope, I definitely do not suggest to get it if it is your first and only car. Get yourself a reliable daily, save up some funds - big enough to purchase an RX-8 as well as all the money needed to get parts replaced or the engine rebuilt if anything were happen throughout the course of your ownership. Learning as much as you can about rotaries is highly recommended and knowing how to fix certain things yourself will be a big bonus if you were to own one in the future.

It’s definitely an interesting experience compared to driving on track or the touge. Somewhat a way to immortalize your car in the form of a movie.

12 hours of shooting time for the crew but my scenes only took about 5-6 hours in total. Only used a bit more than a quarter of a tank if I recall correctly.

Yes, best to go on weekdays! Check on Klook for offers and discounts (not sponsored, hahah) Kalau boleh breakfast awal and datang masa the theme park baru buka. Towards the evening tu beratur dia makan masa lebih lama dari tengahari even with the express lane. The park close around 6 or 7 so takut ada some rides you miss out on. There were 1 or 2 more we wanted to try out but didn’t manage to do so because the park was closing.

This was back when it had bad mounts, not-so-fresh plugs, clogged cat and a few other things. Definitely a night and day difference with how it is today.

The joy of driving the car is definitely worth all the trouble but it's best to take good care of our health as well. Car parts can be replaced, our body can't do the same. ;(
