      Thanks my guy!
This was officially my first time at MIMC and I was able to bring home a trophy despite driving in the worst ever condition possible. 🥰

Finally got the time to watch this video and man, I really like the whole pace of the video. Never a dull moment and loved the 'vlog' style approach. Hearing about your experience and adventures from you in person is amazing but to see it first hand through the lenses of your cameras is even more great. Couldn't congratulate you enough on your achievement and I truly respect your ability in car control. All the best in future endeavours my friend!

I'm really glad you enjoyed the content my guy. I definitely did put some extra effort to make the series appealing to the audience. Would love to do more of these especially in my journey to tackle multiple different courses in Malaysia. Still wish you could've made it to the event on that day but that's alright. We can always participate in future events together. MIMC's layout might suit your car better too. Thanks for watching! 😁✨

Dude...that intro gave me a brief panic attack XD Anyways, loved seeing how you improved in terms of editing between this track day vlog and the previous one! (loved the soundtracks btw) It certainly seemed way more eventful on and off track and it's pretty cool how you can see almost all the action from the viewing area considering how much smaller and compact the track is compared to Sepang. Can't wait to catch your next track day video and hope to witness it IRL!

To experience 2 close-calls in a day.. truly keeps you on your toes for whatever might happen at all time.
It's been a while since I recorded myself talking to the camera (as I tend to get awkward sometimes) but I really wanted to challenge myself to diversify the content I make.
Also, it certainly is more eventful and due to it being a whole-day kind of event - I get a few breathing room to relax and shoot more videos. Sepang track days are often rushed and I'm constantly busy setting up the car or taking a quick break before I get back on track.
Hopefully you're able to tag along on the next one or perhaps participate in it yourself. Thanks for watching my guy! 🤗

Haiyaaa organizer pun pandai... Corner 1 banjir pakai la corner jauh sikit tuu.

    • @MeorHariz
      @MeorHariz  2 роки тому

That’s actually a great idea. Mungkin mereka tak galakkan guna corner terakhir tu sebab takut lebih ramai overshoot jika brake failure atau jalan terlampau licin.
Tapi betul, track memang sangat teruk time ni and it was a struggle to keep the car straight from all the water build-ups. Dah macam lintas sungai dan tasik dah masa ni hahahah

Lovely editing! From what I can see, MiMC is slow turning from normal track into a rally stage 😅 Driving sideways during the rain was the best way for a tight corner.
And you're slowly become like your brother Hazim! Kudos 💪🏻😄
Oh my, I really miss racing 🥲 send my regards to your bro ❤️
Edit: That close calls were terribly frightening! Glad you evade them like a pro 🔥🔥🔥

    • @MeorHariz

Thank you for the kind words!
Yes, the stream of water and puddles really made the track more difficult than it really is. It made each lap a little unique than the one before as well due to how the volume of the puddle change with each lap. One of the challenges I had to face was to relying less on my footbrake and utilize the puddles to slow the car down. There are definitely a few turns that I had to send the car sideways to clear due to the "narrow" track from standing water and lack of traction when it's wet. 🤞
My brother does help inspire me to take up circuit racing but I do try my best to be the best version of myself. 🙇‍♂
It's never too late to return to the motorsport scene. All you need is a running engine, some decent rubbers and you'll be back on track in no time. Sometimes it's not about breaking records but more about rediscovering yourself when it's just you, your car and the circuit. Cheers! 🤍

@@MeorHariz what a great way to slow down by using the puddles, I never thought of that 😅 I usually try to avoid them.
Nowadays, I don't have the time to go on track. No offdays on weekends 🥲 but given enough time to plan, I'll be around in some events. Might just enter for the sake of adrenaline 😁
Next Trackday, MSF on February, will you be joining? Would love to see another video of you driving ❤️ perhaps a duo with your bro

@@AlidArido Hopefully to see your return on track sometime in this year if possible. I'm sure my brother will be stoked to meet you again.
I might pass on the event on February to save up for this car or the next potential project car. I've broken the record for Myvi G3 in Sepang and currently hold a timing under the 3-minutes mark (ua-cam.com/video/bdupE_jOXdo/v-deo.html). 🙇‍♂ Definitely could do within the lower 2:50's but until then, I aim to improve myself by visiting other local circuits to diversify my knowledge and develop better understanding on how to fine tune this car - making it even better than what I see as already great.
I've participated in the same track day with my brother once before. Of course, the GT86's horsepower means that I get gapped easily throughout the straights. Definitely a better fighting chance if I had at least half of what he has got in his FA20T. 😏

@@MeorHariz yeah, there's too much difference between an 86 and Myvi 😅 perhaps with his old Turbo Viva, you might have a chance to chase 😁

      Thanks Kev!
Hold the Traction Control button for a little bit longer (about 5-10 seconds) until a second icon pops up on your cluster panel. It should turn off traction control and VSC alike.
Best to not do it on public road or only do it somewhere safe for practice purposes. I'm used to my previous car that does not have traction control so it felt second-nature to run without them.
      Cheers! 🙇‍♂

mimc during rain mmg understeer teruk bro ... last time i had to swing my tail and use throttle to keep the car in the corner ... and for the first hairpin to sideways you need to bring up some speed and do scandinavian flick just a few meters before the turn

    • @MeorHariz
      @MeorHariz  2 роки тому

Yup, I was mentally-prepared for the rain and did a lot of research by asking those who have driven there as well as watching on-board videos. All that and it was still not enough to get me 100% ready to do a rainy day run. 😂
Sliding definitely helps and I did it a lot more than intended (fairly tricky to hold a slide to widen my line in a FWD car).
I did try to do the flick before T1 (as seen at 15:29) but my mistake was executing it a bit too early hence the multiple swings to control the car and prep it for the turn. But I guess it all comes down to experience and seat time on the track itself.
Thanks for watching & sharing some tips! I highly appreciate it. Hopefully you can swing-by and say hi when you see me in any track hahah 🙇🏻‍♂️✨
