During Ramadan, my group - Nozomu and I went for a touge run at Genting Highland and Jalan Gombak Lama after our iftar session. It has been fairly a long while since we went for a drive as a group and this was definitely refreshing experience.
In pursuit of increasing my seat time and getting to know of the car's traits and quirks - I decided that going for a spirited drive in the RX-8 is a good way to learn the limits of the car. On top of that, what better way to benchmark how the car performs by chasing a turbocharged GT86 that has double the horsepower of the Mazda RX-8!

It was definitely a core memory for me. To spend time with my close circle, explore new roads and go for a spirited drive. With how fast you guys are now, I can’t imagine what it’ll be like when everyone upgrades to / drives a different car in the future.

Came back to this video after 1 exact year since this was uploaded (thanks to @wayzerdude for inspiring me to rewatch it).
It's crazy to look at what a single year can do. My hair was different, our cars now have new mods and a bunch of other things changed.
P. S. - I definitely still love the pacing this video had now as I did then.
How much does it cost to fill up the rx8 with the ron97?
I try to avoid having the fuel too low to avoid fuel pump damage and the pain of an expensive refill. 😂
Jokes aside, I have tried filling it up from empty all the way to the brim and it was RM186 for 60L or so (a full tank). 💸

Sebenarnya bukan tak boleh control. Abang saya bawa passenger dan passenger minta belanja sideways, tu yang dia drift sekali-sekala tu hahah.
Kereta tu memang drift setup dan ada angle kit, sepatutnya boleh buka angle lagi besar tapi di jalan raya tak nak la over hehe 🤭

At 5:43, the white car is a 2nd generation Proton Persona (2007 to 2016 release).
At 5:44, the silver car is the 3rd generation Proton Saga - which does look very similar to the Lada Vesta now that you mentioned it.
It is equipped with some custom aero mods.
