@@WayzerDude Thanks for the support man. Hopefully I'm able to vlog like you do someday. Very casual and effortlessly hahaha. Until then, do expect more awkward speeches by me HAHAHA 😂
Alhamdulillah, thank you! InsyaAllah if you do well in your studies and get a well-paying job, you can own your own Myvi or something even better too! Don’t stop chasing your dreams and once you’ve reached it, create a bigger dream to continue the chase! 🤲✨
Very informative vlog bro, didn't know that small mods like front splitter can give huge improvement on handling 😮 Besides, your "Spirit" looks more aggresive now tho! 👌🔥
Thanks man! I aim to make more educative content such as this that are science and data driven. It helped my handling tremendously but I really would like to highlight that messing with the aero is more of a way to fine tune the handling rather than thinking of it as a way to upgrade a car's performance. This splitter that I made was effective for my suspension setup but it brought in a little bit too much downforce that my front suspension bottoms out during hard cornering. If someone were to use a splitter as big as mine, they'd need a suspension setup as firm as mine or even stiffer!
Thanks a bunch man! I really prefer not to have non-functional mods that will just add unnecessary weight or drag to the car. Took me a long time of studying and drafting it out but so glad it worked. Just released a video of me testing it out on track too!
That transition to the intro montage is just *chefs kiss* -on point! Never knew that such a simple addition to the front bumper in the form of what is essentially a carved piece of aluminium can do wonders for downforce/aero improvement. Out of curiosity, have you experienced any scraping yet? That slight extension must've made you more conscious of your front splitter I believe XD
Big thanks to Irfan Najz for shooting that first clip and showing me around Putrajaya to get that slick and interesting shot as well. Also, shout out to him too for the second last frame of this video where the all-new Spirit rest idly by a lake, amazing cinematic. As for the aero improvement, I'd say there are pros and cons to it. What I gain somewhere also led me to lose some of the old handling characteristics. Also, to run a splitter as big as mine you will DEFINITELY need a stiffer suspension than what I have (and I consider mine as relatively stiff already). This will be highlighted in the next video but the front splitter caused my front suspension to bottom out plenty of times throughout hard turns. Had to tweak my suspension to make it work. And yes, I've scraped the bottom a few times and there's barely any scratch marks (Aluminium Composite panels are that good). Had the front edge touch the road a few times when I descend a particular ramp but I had the edge protected with a rubber seal that I remove every time I destroy them (it's like RM3 for 5 meter).
Thank you good sir! I try to make it as informative as possible (but I’m still awkward in this whole video making thing). I’m a fan of your work as well! 🙇🏻♂️✨
Yup, Flow SI Aerodynamics memang terkenal dengan kaki track dan touge. Dari MSF, drag racing dan drift cars - semua dia pernah buat! Still nervous and blank sikit kalau cakap depan camera, will try to improve diri hehe. 🙆♂️✨ Thank you Raziq!
That's very interesting. What if you make the front splitter to cover your whole engine area at the bottom, instead only at the front. It may improve the downforce even more.
This is a very good design that I would've gone for but it will be a hassle to service the car and it will also take more time as I will need to do a custom bracket to attach the splitter to the chassis. Ideally, I would want a flat floor all the way to the rear but this is still a daily driven car hahah. Maybe for my next project car perhaps! Also, unfortunately chassis mounting the splitter (of any size) for the Myvi G3 is almost impossible due to the lack of real estate within our engine bay, bumper and chassis. What I did to mine was as much as I can go for without leaving the car for days or a week. Hopefully this video was useful in some way!
@@MeorHariz I do agree. Servicing would be hard for the mechanic. Maybe this is the best setup for the dailys. Im sorry but can I have a request? @@adibz959 That's a really interesting mod and I've heard mixed reviews on that which has led me to be a bit cautious in whether I want to install it or not. Perhaps if there is a shop that is interested in sponsoring me the part, install and provide a warranty for it - I might just do it!

F Tuned Racing, GT Series adjustable coilovers. Better to finalize the suspension setup before you touch anything aero related because you can always fine tune your suspension but the aero designs should be based on your car's general characteristics.
Hi Hariz, wondering instead of Orsen shield vs splitter which one will give a better performance? Seems like both are the similar if that's the case. Please advise 🙏🙏🙏 thanks
Good question! Both of them are different in terms of purpose and how they work. A front splitter performs in a way where they increase the downforce on the front end. The Orsen undertray performs in a way where it smoothens out the undercarriage of a car - making a smooth air flow (no air bouncing around / get trapped by the bends and gaps under our car). For a proper front splitter, you’ll need a suspension that is stiff enough to match it before it performs the way it’s meant to be (I highlighted this in the video after this if you’d like to check that out). Otherwise, people may risk bottoming out their suspension at high speed or even worse - unpredictable steering as the suspension struggles to keep up with the amount of weight being presented to the front. The undertray smoothens out under the car, flowing air faster and lowering the pressure underneath the car. Some downforce will occur as high pressure from above the car will try to head downwards but this is very minimal. They also protect your engine components. I don’t have the undertray shield installed btw (maybe if they’d sponsor me I’d give it a try).
@@MeorHariz just to be clear is that any particular information need to let Achik know to do something similar like your on the splitter with my toyota vios 2021 to have better speed n cornering like yours? 😅🙏🙏🙏 Please advise
@@johnnytuckylabo Achik prefers you to come with a good idea of what you want in mind. He can recommend some but you should know better on what you ultimately want in-terms of design and size. I usually sketch things out with measurements ready. If you wish to have a splitter that's functional, it should be at least 1.5" and above before it start to do something. Anything more than 3" will require a splitter rod to hold it so it does not wobble or bend on itself upon impact. If you wish to have a splitter like mine, I highly suggest to make sure you have adjustable suspension with stiff enough absorbers to withstand the strong downforce - otherwise you might risk fighting for the car's control during turns as your suspension bottoms out. But if it's for daily driving and you don't go over 140km/h as much.. any size should be fine.
Harga dia kira ikut the amount of material used. Itu pun still bottom-out (dia compress sampai habis) during high-speed cornering sebab downforce pada splitter yang saya design ni tinggi sangat. Saya terpaksa keraskan lagi suspension depan saya supaya dia tak fully compress during cornering.
