Tip: DON'T close the hatch once you disconnect the battery cables like I did. It's a PITA to get it back open because it uses the 12V battery to operate the hatch actuator.

I purchased a 2019 model 3 directly from Tesla. Received $4K used EV rebate off the purchase price. Car appeared almost brand new inside and out. It was a lease return with low 29K miles. Always garaged and driven around 100 miles per week. Tires in good condition. Drives nice but bumpy. I test drove the new 2024 refresh and the older one does not compare in terms of smoothness and suspension but I saved around $20,000 after Fed and local utility rebates which totaled $8K. Also, I don't need to have collision insurance since I paid cash and can self insure.

Can anyone who has purchased a used Tesla from Tesla let me know about the reconditioning? Specifically I've noticed the 21 inch wheels on a tourist curved and a lot of the cars that I see I wonder if that's something that they repair or replace on a reconditioned use. I have a certain car that I'm looking at that's out of state and I would have to pay transport on top of the deposit

I'm curious: if you pick a random address, how did you receive the device? Or, for that matter, wouldn't your billing information be sent to the random address?

I heard while both can work away from home base, Verizon throttles the speed if you are away from the home address. Maybe that's why your Verizon is much slower than Tmobile in that location.

Personally I wouldn't touch a Tesla with a 40 foot barge pole. There's Far better EVs than them.

fyi - you can get a t mobile gateway with external antenna connectors. with an external antenna you could probably get reliable service at your house by pointing it towards the closest tower

I bought a Model Y used. It's currently being shipped to a Delivery Center 5 hours away (that's the closest I can get). I texted the phone number saying I can only pick up on the weekend since it's so far away. they said I have 3 days to pick it up from the time it arrives.... Currently set to arrive on Tuesday which means I would have to pick it up Friday per their rules. So I'm hoping they don't fight me and let me push the delivery one day so I can fly up there and get it.

I bought a used white 2023 model 3 with enhanced autopilot through Tesla for $33k and only has 4K miles. It looks pretty much brand new except when I picked it up there was a chip in the windshield that got through inspection unnoticed, so they had me come back in 2 days later to replace the windshield for free (only took a few hours). After having the car for a month I don’t regret purchasing it in the slightest, actually the opposite. The car is better than when I picked it up because of the software updates, I love this car more than I knew I would!

That's not cold. Cold is well below freezing starting it up heating it up and long distance. It's massively less efficient in the winter

Whats the outside temp? Model 3 had issues with the heat at -5°, after a couple hours and a soft reset and under the sun, its fine again

Make sure to check carvana and others i just got full self driving long range dual motor model 3 on carvana that was not available on tesla website. The reason for this is tesla does not give great trade in deals also their search only brings up ones closest to your location. one problem with carvana is they dont know what electric cars are so their specs suck but check for software screen and some other tell tell signs on carvana and good luck most certainly tesla will offer 5-10k less for your trade in and you just dont want that.

I got a 2013 Volt on December 23, 2023 with 63,000 miles on it that had that code. It had been sitting for a while at the dealership, which is the most likely reason. I got an OEM Purge Solenoid for it and am also going to replace the spark plugs and ignition module preventatively. Thanks for the info.

Having same problems, brake lights also stay on when car is on, no buttons work on steering wheel and key lock and interior locking not working
