I’m on the trailer hunt right now and was looking into this rig. Owner reviews are the best for really knowing the in’s and out’s of these things. Really appreciate this video buddy thank you!
We bought the X chocks for our trailer (Same model) it really made a difference in the jiggling when parked. So we have chocks and the X Chocks. Just a tip.
The pantry has handled being fully stoked and traveling over some pretty rough roads so far. I am planning on putting in some stronger shelves, especially the bottom one, when I have time and the camper in the same place. For the seating, our old camper had the couch and we didn’t really have any comfortable place to sit inside the camper, so, getting the recliners was a priority. They are pretty comfortable to sit in. Only real issue is the controls are too sensitive.
I have not. I would need a couple more weights to be able to accurately calculate it. When I weighed it after picking it up, my steer axle was 4860, drive axle of 4840, trailer 6260. So, with gear and people, about 1700 added weight to the truck (truck is right at 8000 empty). If I get a chance to get more weights, I will update with what I find.
I was able to get some more weights and I am estimating that the tongue weight with full propane and full water tank is about 1100-1200lbs. I had different gear in the truck between the empty and loaded weights, so, that is what it’s an estimate.

I thought Cougars were higher quality than this. Thanks
All in all, we are happy with it. I have not heard of any camper in this price range that won’t have a few issues to figure out, which is unfortunate.
Thanks for this. Looking at the dealer, those pantry shelves are pretty weak. do yours handle any kind of weight?
One more question - you have the theatre seats, would you have liked the couch?

Thanks. You mentioned you weighed it a couple of times. Did you calculate what you actual hitch weight was vs. published spec? Appreciate it.
