Can you really extend/shorten the handle though? I was under the impression that there was a safety interlock that will prevent the blades from running unless the handle is fully extended and locked in place. That might also explain why the angle adjuster allows the handle to drop to a lower incline than most other mowers' handles allow.
You are correct and sorry if I misspoke. You can adjust the height, by the angle of the handles, not the length. You can collapse them for easier storage though.

All in all though, given the length-collapsing feature and easy angle changing, I don't think I've ever seen another handle setup that folds so easily and compactly. It's very, very good. I really wish my 2004 gas Toro Recycler could do these tricks!!

My EGO went wrong after 3 yrs and would have been very expensive to repair, handnt done much worrk
