Great video. I'm finding about the same numbers on my 2018 3500 srw cummins. I get 19.5 daily driving empty and 13 pulling a 7k travel trailer. I found my truck gets better mpg and seems to be in a sweet spot at 72 mph. Its crazy, at 68 or 75 mph I can see a significant difference when towing, but at 72 it frees right up. I have the 3.42 gears and a bed cover, I'm thinking that contributes. Anyway, thanks for the vid, peace.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. As for the sound, my truck before this was a 94 12v with no muffler, so, this is almost silent in comparison. I pulled the foam off of the silencer in the intake to get a little more turbo noise, which helped a little bit.
JQ Works I test drove a 2018 Ram before buying mine and was really impressed with how quiet it was, and even more so with my GMC. I really don’t think you can go wrong with any of the Big 3 if you’ve got an open mind.
It’s uses an OBDII Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the truck’s OBDII port. The Torque app then translates the data to the phone. You can use WiFi readers too, but I have found the Bluetooth to be the easiest to set up and use. They are cheap on Amazon.
I didn’t. I left it in drive and let the computer do the work. Over slight grades, it would boost up with the torque converter locked. Over steeper grades it would boost, then quickly down shift as needed. One thing I did learn, is the exhaust brake does not work with the cruise control on. I had to turn off the cruise in long descents to take advantage of the extra braking power it provided, which is significant.
The difference between the full and auto is when it turns on. Full turns on when engine RPM is over 1200 and your foot is not in the accelerator. Auto turns on when the engine RPM is over 1200 and your foot is on the brake. I couldn’t get it to activate with the cruise on going down hill. I don’t think changing it to auto would have made a difference, but I will see the next time I am towing on a downhill grade.
Very good point! Filling up when towing a decent sized trailer is much easier to pull in diesel pumps then trying to get a spot for gas! Thank you!

Do you ever lock out 6th gear when towing your camper on interstate? I’ve heard with any big amount of weight it wears out the overdrive clutches.
