I bought a used white 2023 model 3 with enhanced autopilot through Tesla for $33k and only has 4K miles. It looks pretty much brand new except when I picked it up there was a chip in the windshield that got through inspection unnoticed, so they had me come back in 2 days later to replace the windshield for free (only took a few hours). After having the car for a month I don’t regret purchasing it in the slightest, actually the opposite. The car is better than when I picked it up because of the software updates, I love this car more than I knew I would!
I purchased a 2019 model 3 directly from Tesla. Received $4K used EV rebate off the purchase price. Car appeared almost brand new inside and out. It was a lease return with low 29K miles. Always garaged and driven around 100 miles per week. Tires in good condition. Drives nice but bumpy. I test drove the new 2024 refresh and the older one does not compare in terms of smoothness and suspension but I saved around $20,000 after Fed and local utility rebates which totaled $8K. Also, I don't need to have collision insurance since I paid cash and can self insure.
Can anyone who has purchased a used Tesla from Tesla let me know about the reconditioning? Specifically I've noticed the 21 inch wheels on a tourist curved and a lot of the cars that I see I wonder if that's something that they repair or replace on a reconditioned use. I have a certain car that I'm looking at that's out of state and I would have to pay transport on top of the deposit
being used when pickup car do they give you the Title right then and there? (obviously if not financing and paying cash) or do you have to wait until DMV Mails to you?
I bought a Model Y used. It's currently being shipped to a Delivery Center 5 hours away (that's the closest I can get). I texted the phone number saying I can only pick up on the weekend since it's so far away. they said I have 3 days to pick it up from the time it arrives.... Currently set to arrive on Tuesday which means I would have to pick it up Friday per their rules. So I'm hoping they don't fight me and let me push the delivery one day so I can fly up there and get it.
Does Tesla detail and recondition their used cars and fix any exterior issues? Thats my fear of getting one with a gross or damaged interior since you can't see it online.
I took delivery of a Used 2021 Model 3 last month. For the most part, it's a great experience. However, some of the little things may be missed. For example, I am assuming the previous owner may have applied makeup while driving as there was dried in makeup on the steering wheel and other heavily touched areas of the driver seat. They did not even notice this and I had to ask them if they can clean it up as best they can. They could not get all of it out, and I am assuming that I will need to pay for a detail or find something that can get some of that out. The seats seem nice except for minor wear on the headrest of the driver side. Small scratches on the exterior, mainly near the driver handle, where I am assuming the possibly long nailed previous owner may have missed and scuffed a bit of the paint. However! Definitly good overall. The experience was good, but I will say, you are not able to see or "test drive" the car before signing for it on the delivery/ pickup day. So, if there are any problems you will need to try to find them as you are inspecting before you sign or sometime after. So far, fingers crossed, I haven't run into anything where I need to schedule service. Also, the tires are pretty good. I am not sure if they are new or what, but the thread looks great, and I will be following the 6000 mile rotation intervals. If you have any other questions, feel free to DM me!
The $500 is a non-refundable deposit. If you’re ok with the monthly payment and can get approved for the loan amount then yes, that’s all you’d need to put down. Typically it’s a good idea to put $ down tho.😊
I believe you can request actual pictures of the car. Mine has a couple paint chips on the hood and by the rear wheels. Nothing significant. Any major defects would be disclosed and likely prevent it from being one they would sell.
What kind of warranty do u still get for buying a used Tesla ? I have a Tesla dealership like 20 mins away from me but I’m also thinking of getting it from another dealer ship but kinda hesitant because I don’t know what kind of warranty they will be able to offer
@@SirBobbyK I’m looking at a 2018 long range ik they have like a 5 year warranty then like a 7 year battery and power terrain up to 120k miles would that apply to any tesla I get from any another dealership besides tesla
@@juniorotero9030 yes, those warranty stay with the car not the owner so buying a Tesla from a non-Tesla showroom will still give you the basic and battery/power train warranty.
I used my own financing, but, I did look at their options and I don’t recall any missing info. Their rates were about 2% above what I was able to get from my credit union.

Tesla sales their used vehicles for much more than the fair value of the vehicle. Base model and especially any extras like enhanced and Full self driving.

did you pick up your car in a different state than the one you live or did you have it transported to a dealer near you?
Did you finance through Tesla?

How long did it take to get the delivery setup link from the time you hit the purchase button?

You usually get a additional 1 year or 10,000 mile warranty on top of the basic warranty (if it’s still valid).
