I've often thought about doing this kind of work. I would love the driving part,but I wouldn't like to be on the receiving end from a nasty,obnoxious customer.

The worst delivery person ever! They threw my order in a waste bin, and I had no idea it was delivered. Then the municipal council took the waste bin, and I lost my order, which cost me a lot of money. I filed a complaint against Rate Olusola, but Evri did nothing and didn’t compensate me for my loss. They are one of the worst delivery companies, hiring the worst people. and their is no way to call them by phone

i have to say my evri is the best person 10 star from him. been delivering for years. but i have seen people using there car with all the parcels out in a car park. we can make it even worse. your car needs social and business ins. you have tyre wear. and servicing items for the miles done if you have to return thing to dept then thats extra time and fuel costs

Here is my experience as an Evri driver, firstly the training day, i turned up at the allocated time and met the delivery manager , it was apparent i had not downloaded all the software required on the phone and he tried to do it for me but it was taking forever to download so he just said don't worry about it i will explain it to you on the day you start (a week later) it wont be a problem he explained, so training day never really happened but i was not too worried because of his reassurances it isnt an issue. My first proper day, i met the delivery manager again and i told him the app is now on my phone but i will need to be shown what to do, he took my phone from me and started fiddling with it (not showing me anything). In the time i was waiting i was shocked to see such carnage in the depot, parcels stacked high in all corners, then this guy shouts to this other guy "hey i got one of your parcels here" and throws this parcel box up in the air towards him and then he volleys it as it comes down and it lands perfectly in his cage, he then celebrated that fact like he had just scored the winner in the fa cup final, i just thought omg that is someones package like and nobody cares here. I was then handed my phone back and told my manifest has come through and there is your cage, take it to your vehicle (small van) and scan each parcel and load up. I already felt out of my depth as nobody has shown me anything but i did manage to scan each parcel and load my little van with 54 parcels. Because nobody explained anything and the fact i have never done any kind of delivery work before the parcels i loaded were not in any kind of order, each drop i did consisted of me struggling to find the actual parcel in the van and to cut a very long story short in 5 and a half hours i had managed just 17 drops out of 54, i was utterly dejected at the time and thought if i carry on here i would be out till midnight! I then decided this isnt for me and my plan was to take the undelivered parcels back to the delivery depot and say that is enough for me, i got to the depot and lo and behold it was all locked up and nobody there, i then opened the van door and placed all the undelivered parcels in the doorway and i text the manager and said due to lack of training ive left all my undelivered parcels in your doorway and i will not be returning tomorrow or any other day! And that about sums it up, it was absolute shambolic and i will never ever consider doing any Evri work, my advice is to stay well clear and from my experience i shall never use Evri to deliver my parcels ever again!

I returned almost all of the parcels on my training day. The app is a complete gatbage. Not even a screen fitment (buttons are hanging over the screen) gps locations are missing. Explains a lot about the service. Also been in old hermes warehouse few years ago (sh£&y overload dumped tracks). And in amazon as well, the quality of parcel handling is like heaven and hell between the two companies.

Do Evri report your earnings to HMRC/UC etc

The thing you have to remember is the 'lifestyle' part. Try getting a job you can rock up at any time between 8 and 11am and finish when you're done without anyone asking where you are. You can also pick up extra work any day you want. I have a rural route and get nearly double the prices advertised - I can also safely leave my car running so reducing wear and tear. Also, you often end up delivering 2 or 3 drops (sometimes at the same address) without driving anywhere so doubling or tripling your money. You're never going to be rich but as a 'lifestyle' job I get to go fishing and play golf a lot. There's a lot of mum's who do this while their kids are at school.

I got settled status in UK and amazon flex suspended my account and said I failed on right to work. I sent all my documents (NIN, Drive UK, Settled share code, Settled outcome, P60 and P45) still suspended. I uploaded by app and after did that, the photo looks like not much visible. Any one can help me? Thanks

Evri cannot ever manage to deliver anything to me from Amazon ! They must be stealing my orders. They have no idea where my order is. Eventually Amazon always end up giving me a Refund. Evri have instructions on how to find my house and they have my phone number. They are useless !!!

I did my 1st day training.. 10 o'clock.. Then they said can you do some as a warm up. I said yes. Sent me 60 parcels... Was raining.. Nobody was home. Was doing drops in muti story office blocks.. Taking 15 plus mins each. Took me 4 and half hours... Made about £30...£10 fuel £3 insurance.... So £17. Devise by 7 hours including training and loading.. 17 decide by 7 hours. £2.odd an hour.

We have been using this service and have the same problem with delivery confirmation. Got in trouble with Amazon as they require 95% valid tracking numbers and this service wasn't providing enough scanned numbers. Royal Mail told be they don't guarantee delivery confirmation. What a Joke! I was definately mis-sold this service. Not how it was described to me originally at all.

EVRi, is a complete joke having placed orders that as a customer receiving a parcel you do not know which company they are going to use for delivery. Yes you get notified of a parcel having been collected for delivery, though when you receive your package is a mystery. On a few occasions a parcel went missing or damaged in transit. Where I sending a package to someone they are one of the last services I would recommend. Fell bad for the poor delivery people who are under paid.

I spoke to my current insurance and they said I am not allowed to deliver deliveries and they wont allow any other hire and reward insurance while having a normal social insurance so I dont know how to go a head with these pay as you go insurances?

I did one day with them a week ago. It was my first and my last day. Picking up and collecting from shops/post offices/etc, delivered about 300 parcels, collected over 1100 and returned to depot, then had to unload the van. I’m no stranger to hard work, spent 16yrs in the motor trade, but this was backbreaking work, and by the end of the day, I’m sure my van was over the 3.5T weight limit, clutch burn was insane and brakes barely worked. Everything you said in this video is wholly truthful. Avoid Evri.
